Hi, we installed SP9 on our dev servers. Since then we were not able to update the assets to dynamic media. After troubleshooting we found that assets are getting uploaded to scene7 but their metadata is still showing as uploadStarted instead of completed. Also no other properties e.g. scene7 asset url, company id etc. are getting updated to these asset’s metadata node. This was working fine earlier without Service Pack 9 Installation. Currently also, it is working fine on those servers where we have not installed SP9. any help in this would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi everyone, I am trying to set up an experiencing targeting activity for the scenario when a visitor gets personalised content on “Site Y page B” if he has already visited “Site X page A”. It works, but only in about 15-30 min after visiting page A (not earlier). Is it possible to activate AAM segment for immediate action (personalisation) in Target? Environment:- AAM- AT- MCID Service(all libraries are the latest versions) AAM:- a rule-based trait, Audience Library data source- a segment based on that trait, Audience Library data source AT:- experience targeting linked to the AAM segment (available via Audience Library)
Video Demo: Error Handing in AEM by 3sharecorp Abstract I recently published an article on how to customize your website error pages. Error handling in AEM is crucial to the customer experience and the security of your site. For example, creating a custom 404 error page helps maintain site visitor confidence by keeping them within a consistent site experience. For those who like a more visual experience, I've created this video. Notable Changes to AEM Sites as a Cloud Service by Adobe Docs Abstract AEM Sites as a Cloud Service provides experience management capabilities as part of the cloud-native AEM as a Cloud Service platform. In addition to core benefits of AEM as a Cloud Service, such as cloud-native scalability, uptime, and always being up-to-date, AEM Sites as a Cloud Service also provides a number of Sites-specific changes and additions. Asynchronous Page Operations In AEM Cloud service, operations that traditionally have blocked the UI have been broken down into smaller tasks which run in the background. New Reference Site and Tutorial WKND, a new AEM reference site, has been updated and published to reflect best practices for to build a web site with AEM, and the comprehensive set of capabilities, components, and deployment models that are available in AEM. The new reference site and accompanying tutorial covers fundamental topics like project setup, Core Components, Editable Templates, client lib
Hi Team, How to block all MIME type assets and file upload to AEM, I did refer this document "https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-64/assets/administer/configuring-asset-upload-restrictions.html?lang=en" but its for partially blocking and not for completely blocking all MIME type assets. Please suggest.
Hi all,I have many Sling Models and I need to create a JUnit test for them, but I'am not able to deal with the @586265 annotation.Here a simple example:Sling Model:import lombok.Getter;import org.apache.sling.api.SlingHttpServletRequest;import org.apache.sling.api.resource.Resource;import org.apache.sling.models.annotations.DefaultInjectionStrategy;import org.apache.sling.models.annotations.Model;import org.slf4j.Logger;import org.slf4j.LoggerFactory;import javax.annotation.PostConstruct;import javax.inject.Inject;import java.util.ArrayList;import java.util.List;@Model(adaptables = {SlingHttpServletRequest.class}, defaultInjectionStrategy = DefaultInjectionStrategy.OPTIONAL)public class SimpleModel { protected final Logger logger = LoggerFactory.getLogger(getClass()); @Inject protected Resource currentResource; @Getter private List<Resource> items; @PostConstruct protected void init() { items = new ArrayList<>(); try {
Hey guys, I'm doing some API work w/ Jersey 1.9.4 ... it seems to compile correctly & work up until this line of the activate function in my ApiClientImpl.javaClient client = Client.create(conf);where I get the error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.sun.jersey.core.header.MediaTypes . I think it may have something to do with other dependencies? The jersey-core bundle is loading correctly. It's even weirder b/c only a few members of my team (and we all ostensibly have the same code) get this error, so I'm wondering if it might be environment specific
HelloI'm pretty new to AEM, so this question may have been asked before...but here goes.My employer already uses an AEM Instance for a website that's already live, but it only services a particular customer type (Website 1). As part of their journey to improve customer experience, they want to use AEM to service a different customer type (Website 2). They've asked if it's possible to share already existing components across both Website 1 and 2 and to do this, will it require involvement of an AEM Developer. Or is this simply down to the permissions given to components when they're first created? I have researched this, and from what I've read it is only an AEM Developer than can enable the sharing of components across more than one website, but I can't say I've found a definitive answer to my questions. Thanks in advance.
How to Forward Adobe Developer App Builder Application Logs by Manik Jindal Abstract Adobe Developer App Builder enables developers to build custom applications that extend and integrate with Adobe Experience Manager and other Adobe solutions. App Builder became generally available in December 2021. Now, we are bringing the ability to forward application logs to a supported log management solution of your choice to all App Builder customers. What is log forwarding? Until now, the logs generated by an App Builder application were only stored in Adobe I/O Runtime and could be fetched by a developer through the AIO CLI (aio app logs command). However, debugging and monitoring an App Builder application running in the production environment solely through AIO CLI is not ideal. The AIO CLI allows developers to view logs only on a per activation level. And although a developer can tail application logs as they come, she cannot search through them to view interesting log lines. On the oth
How to Set Up Docker Dispatcher the same as Cloud Manager by Initialyze Abstract The dispatcher module in Adobe Experience Manager can be used for security, caching, load balancing, reverse proxy, and sorting through client requests to AEM publishing instances. This load balancing tool can be used alongside an enterprise-class web server. By blocking access from unknown sources using filters, dispatchers protect your AEM publish servers from threats and attacks. In short, dispatchers are the lens through which users will view content on the AEM publisher. In this article, we’ll be guiding you on how to set up a Docker Dispatcher in a simple manner. But before we jump right in, let’s understand the essence of dispatchers for AEM. The Essence of Dispatchers for Your Local AEM More often than not we’ve seen the DevOps teams as the primary owner and maintainer of dispatcher configuration. They also need to consult and rely on Developers to provide certain application specific requiremen
Error Handling in AEM by JUAN AYALA Abstract Recently, I worked on an AEM project that included a lot of legacy code. Some of this code involved error handling and based on its git history, it pre-dated ACS Commons. For perspective, the ACS Commons Page Error Handler has been an AEM feature since version 1.0.0 in 2013! The client knew they needed its error handling capability to function well going forward and my task was to determine if the legacy code could be built upon or if it should be replaced with something new. This got me thinking about one of the oldest topics in AEM and in computer programming for that matter…error handling. As I write this it is still January 2022 so let’s start off the new year with a review! Read Full Blog Error Handling in AEM Q&A Please use this thread to ask the related questions.

Hide and show AEM component using authoring by Rashidjorvee Abstract Hi Friends, today in this article we are going to see an example of how we can hide and show the content of the AEM component using authoring. First of all, we will add an isHide checkbox field in the component dialog so that an author can set it based on the requirement. Below is the code node structure of isHide node in the component dialog. { jcr:primaryType: "nt:unstructured", uncheckedValue: "false", name: "./ishide", text: "Hide content", value: "true", sling:resourceType: "granite/ui/components/coral/foundation/form/checkbox", fieldDescription: "Hide the content of this component on page." } Since we have completed the dialog part now move to the component HTL page where we will manage the rendition. rashidjorvee Some content here </sly Once you will check the isHide option then after it will be difficult to find the component on the page, hence add the below line of code in the HTL file so that it will
Hi All, I am trying to create some Interactive Images using AEM Assets. Following are the steps I have followed1. Upload a image in Asset. Once upload finished successfully, clicked on Edit but not able to see Hot Spot Icon.2. Then configured Dynamic media and uploaded the same image once again. Image upload was successful and I am able to view the uploaded image from AEM Asset in Dynamic Media too.3. I am able to see Hot spot icon. But when I clicked Hotspot icon for image mapping I am not able to see the image in hotspot editor.4. When I inspect the particular page, whats happening is its trying to request some JSON from http://localhost:4502/is/image/<pathofimage>?req=set,json,UTF-8&label....5. If I replace the localhost:4502 with my Scene7 server, its returning me the actual JSON.6. Instead of Scene7 server its taking localhost. Can someone help me in resolving this issue? Thanks in Advance 🙂
