Often the table above has more than 300 added rows/entries and it is taking about 45 seconds for the staff to be able to enter something and then click in another fillable box. There are calculations in the total fields but they are simple sums. Could it be there are just too many entries? Is there a recommended limit to the number of entries/additions to a form.
Hi team, I wanted to add max length character for RTE in touch UI but it is not working.I think this will be achieved by js .does any one created js for such type of validation.
Build Phygital customer experiences using AEM Screens Part 2 - Hands On Demo by Hemlata Abstract As we covered the introduction and practical use cases for the AEM Screens solution in the previous article, let us do a hands (simple demo) on creating an AEM Screens project which will display some sequence images on a Screens Player. Before Starting the demo, let us understand the different features available in the AEM Screens Project. How can I use AEM Screens to create digital signages? Creating and managing an application using AEM Screens is simple and intuitive. An application hosts web pages built for AEM Screens by customers or implementation partners. Locations manage pre-defined hierarchy and contains displays. Each display has a dashboard that shows different devices and screens attached. Content for AEM Screens is managed in channels. AEM Screens Player renders content present within channels onto displays. Prerequisite: Allow Empty Referrer Requests in OSGi — Apache Slin
Debugging Adobe Tools with Charles - Part II by Pedromonjo Abstract This post is the last of my mini-series on debugging with Charles. If you have not read the previous posts, you should, before you continue: Introduction to HTTP debuggers and Debugging Adobe Tools with Charles - Part I. In this post, I will skip some obvious steps, as I assume that you are familiar with Charles by now. If something is not clear, please, let me know in the comments. Inject Launch tags This is especially useful if you are migrating from a previous tag manager or are working on a fresh new Adobe implementation. Usually, you should have access to a lower environment of the website, where the developers would have added the Launch tags. However, this may sometimes take a while and you want to start working immediately. Or you want to test your latest changes on the production website before there is any Launch code published. In this situation, what you want is to modify the HTML of the website, only fo
Debugging Adobe Tools with Charles - Part I by Pedromonjo Abstract Now that I have provided an introduction to HTTP Debuggers, I can explain how to use Charles to debug Adobe tools. In this post, I will show you how to start working with Charles, find the Adobe data and switch Launch environments. Configuration Proxy The first thing you need to remember about Charles is that it is a proxy. This means that it is designed to sit between your browser and the web servers. In other words, you must force all web traffic to go through Charles. By default, Charles takes care of that, by configuring the operating system to use it as the default proxy. Then, all browsers configured to use the system-wide proxy configuration will automatically send to Charles all traffic. I have not tested in macOS or Linux (although I am writing this post from my Ubuntu). Also, if you have changed your browser’s proxy settings or your company does that for you, you will need to change it manually. If you nee

Hide and show AEM component using authoring by Rashidjorvee Abstract Hide and show AEM component using authoring Hi Friends, today in this article we are going to see an example of how we can hide and show the content of the AEM component using authoring. First of all, we will add an isHide checkbox field in the component dialog so that an author can set it based on the requirement. Below is the code node structure of isHide node in the component dialog. Since we have completed the dialog part now move to the component HTL page where we will manage the rendition. rashidjorvee Some content here </sly Once you will check the isHide option then after it will be difficult to find the component on the page, hence add the below line of code in the HTL file so that it will show a copy text to configure the component always in edit mode. AEM Content Fragments: Links Localization. Part 1 by Exadel Abstract In our previous articles we have prepared a custom CF model, created a CF structure, and configured its translation. In this article we’ll take a look at CF content localization. A New AEM Content Fragment Translation Project A translation project helps organize and manage AEM Content Fragment translation within Adobe Experience Manager and acts as a container for similar translation jobs. We can use a project to create translation jobs for an entire site, an entire directory, or a single page, depending on your needs. Let’s create a translation project for our site: Go to /projects.html/content/projects Click Create → Project Select “Translation Project” template AEM Content Fragment Localization Workflows In the CF console, we can create a language copy, update a language copy (all variations), and update a particular AEM Content Fragment variation. A corresponding workflow in AEM is being triggered with each a
Reimagining Replication Agents on AEM as a Cloud Service by Damian Langsweirdt Abstract Part of the journey when evaluating how to migrate to AEM as a Cloud Service involves taking a look at your current AEM implementation to see if there are any incompatibilities or areas which will require refactoring. This may include reviewing documentation, code, and running the Best Practices Analyzer (BPA) tool. One area which may be highlighted during your review is replication agents. In the pre-Cloud Service model, numerous situations called for replication agents. This article won’t cover all use cases, but you can read more background here. With Cloud Service and its new architecture, the rules have changed in this area. Read on for some tips on navigating this change. Author to Publish For standard publishing, or copying content from an author environment to a publish environment, this is handled out-of-the-box with Cloud Service — no custom agents required. See here. Publish to Author
How to Re-Sync a Live Copy Language Root to a Blueprint in AEM MSM by Sourcedcode Abstract How to Re-Sync a Live Copy Language Root to a Blueprint in AEM MSM On some occasions, the rollout behavior becomes dysfunctional where our rollout behavior no longer rollout content to the expected content structure within AEM. Authors will be frustrated and start to manually create singular live copy pages from the language master to the designated content tree, and this job just becomes very tedious. AEM MSM tools like, http://localhost:4502/libs/wcm/msm/gui/content/livecopies.html/content/we-retail/language-masters/en, become buggy and stop working as expected. It can be very frustrating when the MSM rollout feature stops working. In this article, we will walk through how to re-sync the live copy locale root to re-connect to the language master. Luckily for you, It’s just missing configurations! Read Full Blog How to Re-Sync a Live Copy Language Root to a Blueprint in AEM MSM Q&A Please
Adobe Experience Manager's Sling RepoInit: Have You Tried It Yet? by Bounteous Abstract There’s a lot to do when it comes to managing the initial repository state in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). Keeping all the environments in sync with the required basic code, content, and configuration is a challenge. So is ensuring a consistent local setup for all the developers on a project—content, users and groups, node structures, configurations, and more. Enter - Sling RepoInit! What Is Sling RepoInit? Sling RepoInit is a mechanism used by Sling for base repository initialization. It also includes the ability to register configurations making it available to projects to further configure the repository. It is implemented as a Domain Specific Language (DSL) with a parser and JCR implementation. With immutable instances becoming the norm, it has taken on a more important role. With RepoInit you can write instructions or scripts that define JCR structures, ranging from common node structure

Hi Community.I am working in a specific implementation of a new RTE plugin, but I found that when trying to remove the custom implementation let´s say JavaScripts files, custom clientlibs etc, the RTE keeps showing that custom implementation also I checked the JCR, libs folder from top to bottom when I removed it, and I didn´t find nothing related to my custom implementation, then I don´t know where or why the RTE is keeping my custom functionality after removing files. Thanks in advance for the help.
Hello, I have the need to retrieve assets through GET calls, only if I'm logged in (reserved assets).I've tried using the CUG, setting an user as a viewer then, when I've published the folder and also the asset, I try with Postman to access the resource with basic authentication (of course the user that is in the CUG settings of the folder) and I get a resource not found 404 error. What is the correct process to retrieve those assets with a GET call? Thank you, Guglielmo
I have followed this link: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/getting-started-with-aem-headless/graphql/multi-step/graphql-and-external-app.html?lang=en to do the setup for GraphQL in AEM. To use the data generated from GraphQL queries, a react app is used. For that a git repository command is given in the documentation. That didn't work for me. So, I cloned this git repository: https://github.com/adobe/aem-guides-wknd-graphql and in that it is mentioned to run these commands in the react app folder :npm installnpm startBut when I do this, the page is loaded but shows this error:How to solve this error?
Hi all. There is a problem. When some property value exists in blueprint and it's blank, it's autofilled with 'undefined' string in live copies. Which can sometimes break the validation. How can I avoid this autofilling? UPD: 'undefined' string only appears when Edit Dialog is opened
Hi all,I have upgraded AEM 6.2 to 6.5. Then, my bundle shows 'Installed', not "Active" and I cannot start the bundle.I have already updated the uber jar into 6.5.0.I found the following issue under the bundle. May I know how to solve it? For 'Cannot be resolved but is not required' jar, can I remove it from our pom.xml file? For 'version=[X.X,X) -- Cannot be resolved', is it need to update the compatible version? If yes, may I know the compatible version? For 'Cannot be resolved but is not required and overwritten by Boot Delegation', May I know how can I solve it?Thanks.
Hello, I am currently struggling with defining policies on my code using the .content.xml under wcm/policies. For example I have a Section Container component that has a responsivegrid inside its HTML. My idea is to only allow the components group "Content" in there, so in my policies I added the following snippet: <section-container jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"> <policy_1595870812979 jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured" jcr:title="Section Container" sling:resourceType="wcm/core/components/policy/policy" components="group:KG AEM Commons - Content"> <jcr:content jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"/> </policy_1595870812979> </section-container> But when I do a clean install with the command mvn clean install -PautoInstallPackage and I check my policies the group was not added correctly
Hi,We have intregated the AEM Publisher instance to SAML. We want to implement the logout functionality for the application. We are successfully logout from the SAML session somehow AEM Session is still there, because we see the login-token cookie in the browser even after the SAML logout. In Author instance, we are using /system/sling/logout.html it is able to clear the login-token cookie from the browser. But In publish instance, if we are using /system/sling/logout.html, we are getting the below error. Not FoundThe requested URL /system/sling/logout.html was not found on this server.
