I am trying to limit who can see/use the download button in the DAM from a particular user group.   When you open an asset in the DAM, you will see Download underlined on the left panel.I looked in permissions and do not see where this can be unchecked to hide this button.  Any information is greatly appreciated.

Hi Experts,I am just trying to setup a CQ5 with one author and two publishers. Publishers are with "Shared Nothing Cluster" configuration (1 Master/1Slave).I would like to confirm if i can configure only replication agent for Master publisher or i need to add the replication agent for Slave publisher also?. My understanding is that if i configure replication agent only for one publish server, The changes will be Synced to other Slave publish server Thanks,Ifteqar

Hi All, we are customizing special character by misctoolplugin.js. There is an issue regarding this. Whenever we are saving an special charter then in source edit its not getting saved as HTML code, rather as the special character. like @ is saving as @ not its HTML code. the behavior is normal only, means OOB also behaves in the same way. But we have requirement to store it as HTML code only. Whenever we click on the button for special character- at the end     execCommand("insertHTML", false, specialCharater);   method is called that means we call Command insertHTML and that command is only doing this. note: value of specialCharacter is HTML code only of that particular selected special character. So please tell if there is any other method/command we can use instead of insertHTML or anything else that will help us in achieving this. Please help. Thanks

I am currently working on implementing an asset manager using Adobe AEM 5.6.1 DAM and want to use the Asset Share and Asset Editor templates on publisher. Our client however needs these pages to be secure and restrict access to users who authenticate through a SAML-based SSO product. The SAM authentication handler configuration on Author instances is pretty straight forward but when attempting to do the same on publisher it does not work. The default behavior when using Asset Share page on publisher is that it redirects to the geometrix login (not AEM) page. I understand that this can be changed to a different page but I need it to redirect to the IdP login screen. When I configue the SAML authentication handler on publisher with the same exact parameters that work on author I not only am not redirected to the IdP to enter credentials, but I am not prompted for any authentication at all.Is there a setting or something that I am missing somewhere on a publisher instances to enable the S

We have a layout that we want to use in a few different places as well as for Sling error handler pages.Outside Sling error handler, we are using a cq:Pages together with a page component to reuse the template.Is there a way to configure the Sling error handler to use cq:Pages in a similar way, rather than serving JSP pages?

As per the documentation mentioned in that url, it says supported Documentum versions are 5.2 and 5.3   and CRX supported version is 1.3Can someone please confirm that link is not updated and  crx2documentum connector supports CRX 2.2 and Documentum 6.6? Thank you

Has anybody figure out how to use the Luhn's Algorithm for the Form Component? If you add a form element, like TextField, you can select a validation as part of the Constraint tab. In that tab, there is an option for Luhn's algorithm to validate credit cards and some government IDs. However, whenever the drop down field for the constraint is selected, nothing else happens.I looked at the documentation but there is no reference to this feature.Any comment/suggestion is welcomed.Mario

Hi,  Our client has requirement where Scene 7 Images need to be dragged and dropped from content finder to any custom component  without importing that in DAM. I am able to drag and drop Scene 7 images from Scene 7 content finder to Scene 7 components like Zoom etc, but not for any other custom component or OOB image component. Is there any way to do this in CQ out-of-the-box or am I missing something very trivial?Quick response would be appreciatedThanks,Abhijit

Hi,I know that from AEM 6.0 clustering is only possible via MongoMK.I'd like to have two or more author instances working in parallel, but I don't like to add MongoDB in the Stack.Is there any way to have multiple author instances working concurrently be kept in sync?Thanks

Hi Guys ,There are some Js files in libs , such as the preferences.js (/libs/cq/security/widgets/source/widgets/security/Preferences.js).I copied the same file to my apps folder and when i instantiate some variables (My_Prop = "new prop") , it can be accessed from anywhere (any other JS file).I dont want to disturb the preferences.js . I want to create my own js similar to this so that when i declare some properties , it shall be available anywhere and accessed from every other js file. Thanks in advanceHarish

Hello, I am trying to find out information relevant to a proposed migration of existing website content from Silverstripe to AEM, a certain amount of new content creation would be fine, but it would be easier if would just export and reimport the majority of our current content from one to the other. Hi,As part of a process of migrating content, I have written Java code to retrieve binary resource stream given the Internet URL of an image. I then, create a node in the DAM and store this binary stream as its jcr:data property(under renditions/original). I have stopped all the DAM workflows as I don't need any other renditions of the image. The image is getting stored properly, but when I do the same for around 2000 images, the process somehow stops after around 1000 images. I am not storing all the images under the same node(I have a certain hierarchy which is far from the flat-file system, which ensures that there are not more than 100 images under a node).When I inspect the loggers, I cannot find anything suspicious as well. I'm guessing there is some problem with the indexes that point to the datastore, but I really cannot pin point any particular reason. Am I doing it the correct way, or is there a better way to upload such large numbers of images to the DAM? Please help me out

Masters,My requirement is to create a multi form like wizard container. Author should be able to define the number of tabs in a dialog. For example, we can define this value in custom Start Form component. Once author sets this value as 3 then 3 tabs will be created. Each tab will contain parsys so that author can drag and drop other components in each tab. Appreciate your suggestion on how to proceed on this.

Hi,I got a weird problem here, my "components" folder is empty in CRX Lite however i can see the whole jcr structure using JCR Content Explorer. All pages are working fine so i'm assuming the nodes / structures are  there.My project is maven based and i didnt find any POM or XML inconsistence and no exceptions as well. Any clues what may be the problem?

The upload asset action component of asset share does not work in IE. This component however works fine in firefox.
