Hi All,I have an requirement which need expertise suggetions to implement the same. The requirement is as followsThe Content which has to be added to the page has dynamic values like User ID's which fetch from other systems. if I use RTE can i able to do that. how to identify the dynamic values.Example Content: "welcome to my company. you are shortlisted for the lucky draw. The user id allocated for you is XXXXX and agreement number is XXXXX"Please let me know how to handle these kind of situations like editor has to update content where in between dynamic values will be present

Hi,If something is not worked or not achieved through Touch-Optimized UI(Granite), it means that component is not working in AEM6?Suppose if something is working in classic UI of AEM6 and not worked in Touch-Optimized UI. Can we say this component is working in AEM6?Is there any important difference between these 2 UIs except the way of authoring a component?Thanks,AryA.

Hi Everyone,I wanted to know how do we do design dialog configuration for components using Touch UI in AEM 6.0? I could not find the design view option anywhere. Also I went through the authoring AEM 6.0 documentation but there too I couldn't find the details.Do we have to resort to classic view for design level configuration on pages? or there is some other option for it?Thanks in advance.-Runal

We would like to start using high-resolution source files for the product images. The source files are generally large .tiff files ranging from 25-50Mb in size.We currently have 5500 product images and expect to add 5000 more.We need to explore how we can filter these source files and the "original" rendition that is generated when the asset is uploaded to the DAM and activated for publishing (replication) to the publish instances.We want to implement a solution that filters the large source files from being published to the publish instances when the assets are Activated.We are on CQ 5.6I have talked with Adobe support and it seems that it is currently not supported OOB. Have anyone implemented this before? Please help! Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Thank you!

I am building an OSGI Bundle in Eclipse then importing it into AEM. Hi,Is it possible to make some changes on node level like setting property using sightly(".html file") ?. In sightly doc (http://dev.day.com/content/docs/en/aem/6-0/develop/sightly.html) they mentioned like Java-backed Objects will be available. If so, how it should be done?.Or otherwise we should use java class or js ?Please provide some snapshot of code for reference.Requirement : Need to set some 'x' property on node while each time page get loads.Thanks,Karthi

HiI have component which include the parsys1 at render time. When i add that component in parsys then it create parsys1 & new parsys1 generate down to that component. I would like implement the functionality in such a way that if I drag and drop the component, it should hide the next parsys1. How can i achieve this?Thanks

Hello, I have next problem:I need to set some default settings for comments component and I tried to do it in next way - I added node with name "comments" under the jcr:content of template of me page. When I create page, this "comments" node appears in /conent/mypagename/jcr:content/ but comments component does not work. If I delete this "comments" node, then set the same settings via edit dialog, node with the same properties appears and component works! Also, as I found here - help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manager.topic.html/forum__srsa-hi_i_raisedane.html , node with name comments will not be replicated during page activation, and as I see it, it's done to prevent problem that I got with my properties.Can anyone suggest me the way, how I can set some default setting for comments component?Thank you. UPD: when I put me comments component into the parsys it's properties were successfuly replicated with page. Hi I have developed a textimage component in AEM5.6 and it is working as expected. Expected: text should be to the left of the image with certain padding and the applied stylesbut later, I have imported the same component and trying to use the same in AEM6.0 .But here, text is always coming below the image. no styles getting appliedI want to display the text on the imagebut no styles getting applied.  Could any one tell me, what could be the problem? Do I have missed any thing?

Hello,I was looking to see if any one had any recommended approaches for a solution we are trying to implement.We are looking to use variable replacement inside AEM.  The variable replacement would be from within authorable components.  For example if I wanted to use the RTE to replace {institution} with the institution name.  This would not be a one time replacement.  Essentially the variable needs to remain whenever they are in authoring but when they are on publish they would need to see the replaced variable.  Otherwise I could just trigger an event on the component to search the text and replace the variable on the fly but since the variable needs to remain this is where I am struggling.  I know I can use the i18N to do variable replacement but I don't think that would work for an author inside the RTE component (or any component that I am writing text in).We are attempting to do this as we have multiple site which essentially have the exact same content with a different skin but

Hi all,We have noticed that when our CQ5 environment is up and running for a few days, replication performance degrades significantly.When the system is healthy, at peak moments, there's 2MB/s data transfer observed in the network between the author/publisher instances.However when the performance degrades, network traffic is reduced to 100-200KB/s.Heap and PermGen memory usage on both publisher and author instances are within the normal range, GC runs are normal and quick, author JVM has less than 20% CPU usage and the publisher JVM reports 50% CPU usage.We have also increased the Sling Eventing Thread Pool's size to 100 on author instances per recommendations we have received from DayCare.A few questions:Is there anyway we can increase the number of threads that an agent uses to replicate data from an author instance to a publisher instance?Are there any settings we can tune on publisher instances to improve performance?What is the purpose of the "Batch" settings of a replication age
