Hi Members, How to disable Garbage collection for Shared data store in aem 6.4 while starting aem instance?

I have a project requirement where we have to make a role-based login website. On this website, any customer logged in can see their component only not others. I mean provide access permission based on Component. I don't want to use the database. We just want to use AEM features for user profiling and management. All users logged in via SAML. We need to give permission based on component access only. Thanks in advance, any help appreciated.

Dear All, Hoping to get some help with respect to Jenkins build failure. We are developing a new site and have set up a GIT repository for the code. We are using AEM Acthtype 18 to create the maven project. The build works fine locally but when we are trying to build through our DevOps pipeline its failing with following error Internal error: java.lang.RuntimeException: org.jfrog.build.extractor.maven.BuildInfoRecorder.sessionEnded() listener has failed: Error occurred while persisting Build Info to 'e:\disk1\jenkins\e921a184\workspace\Web\web-cms\web-cms-aem-core\target\build-info.json': java.util.HashMap cannot be cast to java.lang.String (through reference chain: org.jfrog.build.api.Build["modules"]->java.util.ArrayList[1]->org.jfrog.build.api.Module["properties"]->java.util.Properties["vault.embeddedfiles.map"]) -> [Help 1] Any help would be appreciated.  ThanksBhushan

Hello, I'm new in Analytics and Launch and I can't understand how to build a rule for tracking website steps of a user.I saw many links with theory of user goes from page A to page B to page C but I've never seen a proper example with the actual values of a rule. What do I need to do for this? What I have so far is the prop7 configured with pathing and my rule goes like this:EventPage BottomActionsAdobe Analytics - Set VariablesCustom code: s.prop7 = _satellite.getVar("Campaign") ? _satellite.getVar("Campaign") + ":" + s.pageName : s.pageName;* Campaign var is a Data Element associated with a query string "cid"Adobe Analytics - Send BeaconIs this ok? Am I doing something wrong?

Hello everyone, Im having problems with page editing in touch UI. It seems to be a miscalculation in the ContentWrapper´s height, which causes my pages to be grayed out after the fold. Also, there is a second scroll bar that appears in the part where the content is rendered.Seeing the page in preview, classic UI and any other views shows it correctly, but editing it on Touch UI, is not working. Its the same problem as: AEM 6.1 SP1 Component height not calculated correctly in edit mode touch UI but in this case, with AEM 6.2.I have checked for negative margins, heights in % thay may cause problems, but nothing is working. As the title points out, I have AEM 6.2 with SP1 and CFP 5.Any ideas? Someone had this problem? Thanks in advance!

Hi,I am trying to invoke event handler after page activation. Hi Experts,In one of our environments the OOTB /etc/cloudsettings.kernel.js/libs/settings/cloudsettings/legacy/contexthub is giving 404. This issue happens both in author and publisher. The AEM version is 6.4.6.But when I changed the sling:resourceType to "granite/contexthub/cloudsettings/components/baseconfiguration" it started working.

Hi there, We are having an unexpected error with sending SMS that occured out of nowhere (with no config changes happening in the days leading up to it). Basically, when trying to send SMS, an error appears in the delivery logs that says:Error in delivery part 15290614: INT - 150003 Cannot open an HTTP connection with server acXXXXX.adobesandbox.com'.\ Can anyone think of what this? Has our SMS Gateway provider changed settings on us with no/short notice? Thanks guys

Embedded forms not submitting in FireFox Private mode.  We are using a CNAME to load the form but it looks like there is an additional script on the Marketo side that is loaded with a Marketo CNAMe and not our custom CNAME.  Is this something we can control? The script is loaded with our CNAME though it's loading the forms.js from the Marketo domain.  Can this be updated to use our CNAMe as well?  Is there another way around this issue?

Has anyone blogged or any insights to share about direct call rules and especially about the amount of rules to manage - less is better or not? I'm pretty sure answer eventually depends size and complexity of site and what else you might want to populate (custom code etc) based on rules. Let's take example. All the basic page tracking is done through extension, but you might have few shopping funnels and lots of different actions to track._satellite.track('start_shopping_funnel', {variable1: 'value1', variable2:'value2'} );_satellite.track('shopping_funnel_phase2', {variable1: 'value1', variable2:'value2'} );_satellite.track('shopping_funnel_order_completed', {variable1: 'value1', variable2:'value2'} );OR would just use one direct call rule like this:_satellite.track('view', {view: '<phase>', variable2:'value2'} );  // and <phase> is either "start", "phase2" or "order_completed".My initial experience with coders is that they prefer first option to have multiple rules that a

Hello,I'm wondering if, as an admin, there is an option to make Workspace the default landing page for all users at our company. I know that the user can set it for themselves on an individual basis but we would like to set it for all users collectively. We would like users to start out in Workspace as it is difficult to communicate each time that they should not go into Reports even though that's the interface they land in.Is there any way to do this currently? Thanks.

Hi there. Is there a way to hide a field on a form if it already has a value. Marketo's built in visibility rules don't cater to this. This isn't quite a progressive profiling thing, just a field (or possibly fields) that once a lead has been asked the question, we don't want to display again on subsequent forms that they may see.CheersJo

Hello, we have different logins for each iPad we use for event check-in, yet we still experience freezing problems when we try to look up contacts in the app. Does anyone have any advice/experience to share on this? It's extremely frustrating when you have a queue waiting for you to check them in.

I created an environment to demonstrate how it works. Now I want to delete it, since it's not actually needed. How do I delete an environment in Launch?

Hi All, Happy new Year.I am trying to configure the internal redirects in AEM 6.4 publishers. The requirement is to redirect the base url to the correct landing page. I have done the below things:1. created map.publish.env nodes under /etc with the sling:match and sling:internalRedirect values.2. verified the "Apache Sling Resource Resolver Factory" in configMgr for correct node being provided for the mapping3. In the jcrresolver /system/console/jcrresolver, I have verified below:    Namespace Mangling - Enabled    Mapping Location - map.publish.env    Configuration Test is also successfully resolving the url to the specific path. But after this during the testing of the url in browser, It says below:    The requested URL / was not found on this server. Could someone please help me if am missing something? It would be very helpful. Thanks,Arun.

Hi,In the Adobe Help documentation I found the following formula for Time Spent per Visit : Total seconds spent / (visit-bounces)It is thus possible to recalculate it based on the other metrics. This is what I exactly did.In the next table you can see the Adobe version of the variable at the left and my own calculated metric at the right. The results are different. Here the calculated metric:Can someone explain me why the results are different? Is this a bug? Thanks in advance for your feedback!Kind regards,Sarah

Hi everyone! We have two websites that are nearly identical. One is an internal facing version and the other is the public version. We would like to deploy the same Launch code but have the reporting to go into separate report suites. Is it as simple as creating a data element defining the report suite name and then adding it into the Adobe Analytics tool configuration? Also, is there any secret Adobe syntax I need to be aware of when setting up my data element or can I do something like the below: var reportSuite = (window.location.hostname == "www.hostnameInternal.com") ? hostnameInternalProduction : hostnameExternalProduction;return reportSuite; Many thanks!

Editing to tag a few members here.  @smacdonald2008 @kautuk_sahni @dipti_chauhan I have seen similar questions being asked here but did not see any answer so apologies if this is duplicate. So we have a lot of custom components that can be added on to the page. If the page has a Breadcrumb or a Video component, we need to add the JSON-LD structured data to the page.  https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/breadcrumbhttps://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/video One approach is to do it on the client side using JS where we can go through the html and look for any breadcrumb or video component and add a <script> tag to the page for each. But I was hoping to get it done in the backend since we have all the details there. So as soon as the user drops a breadcrumb component and saves it while authoring the page, we should be able to fetch the details from component and add the structured data to the bottom of the p
