Hi All,I am trying to create a text component similar to a core component available in AEM 6.4 at "/apps/core/wcm/components/text/v2/text" I am creating the same named as "mytext" at  "/apps/myapp/components/mytext".I see that in the node at "/apps/core/wcm/components/text/v2/text/cq:editConfig/cq:inplaceEditing" I need to use property 'editorType' as 'text' only. However since my component name is './mytext' the node created saves the authored text with property name 'mytext'. But if I try to save a text using in place editor in authoring mode the authored text is now saved with property name 'text'. Ideally I would wish it to be 'mytext' so that if I author the component using configure button or edit button, in both cases, I should see same text on the page. On my page I see "authored using configure button" on my componentBelow is htl code<sly data-sly-test="${properties.mytext}">${properties.mytext @context="html"} </sly>Is this case generally handled by changes i

Hi,We are just starting to use Adobe and one of the main objectives is to leverage external APIs from Adobe. There are 2 scenarios mainly, 1. Calling an endpoint per recipient in a campaign and modify the email content based on the response. E.g - If the audience size is 1m, then we will call an endpoint 1m times. Is this doable from Adobe and how scalable is it?2. Calling an endpoint once per campaign send. E.g. - a campaign which is sent out based on the price drop of a particular item. Doesn't matter how much is the audience size, the endpoint will be called once. What would be the best way to implement this? Thanks,Abi

Hi all,I'm noticing that emails Marketo is sending are showing up in the activity history of Sales Insights in SFDC. For these emails, the Sales Insight option is not checked in the Email Settings within Marketo; My sync options in Marketo aren't set to track these items either (see screen shot). We prohibited the system from tracking these activities back in May and it worked but now I am seeing the information flow through again.Has anyone run into this? Am I missing another place where Sales Insight tracking can be enabled?Thank you,Alexis

The AEM Experience Fragments can be created with pre-built templates like Html, Facebook, We-Retail. It is does not provide a design mode option to select my custom components.https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-3/author/experience-fragments.htmlHow do I use my custom components in designing/building an experience fragment? Can I create a custom template and use it in creating an experience fragment? Or the last available option is to use a layout container and use it in creating an experience fragment. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Hello Marketo Community, We are working on a campaign and would like to A/B test 2 journeys. We have the journeys set up as two different streams in our nurture program but aren't sure what the best way would be to randomly add users to one stream vs another and automate the process. Right now the idea we are going off is to have 1 stream get feed contacts for one week's time, and then have another be feed contacts for the week that follows. Then we analyze both of these sets of users and see what journey performed best. I'm curious to see how others have accomplished this in the past and want to know if there are other, more effective or fully automated, ways to do this that we haven't thought of yet.

Are variables (in this case an array) created within a rule only local in scope to that time the rule fires? Is there a way to create a persistent array within Launch?I have a page with a list of documents and a checkbox next to each. A user can select what they want, then press a button at the bottom which basically shares these documents. What I'm trying to do in Launch is each time the user clicks a checkbox, it adds (or removes) the doc item from the array. I'm creating the array in the rule but checking for its existence. So the rule fires, I got the document name and I can push it into the array. The problem is the array keeps getting created despite checking for it. So either my js is wrong or the array gets removed at the end of the event. Here's the relevant js:if (!docs) {  var docs = [];  docs.push(filename);  console.log("new " + docs);} else {  docs.push(filename);  console.log("exists " + docs);}I'm trying to do this rule without developer support or changes on the code si

Hi everyone, from what I have been able to gather that when you use a form with the known user custom html field, Marketo uses a session cookie to store whether the user is known or unknown.  Can someone confirm this is the case, it is not clear in the documentation?  I have tested it locally and it seems that this cookie only persists for a browser session, is it possible to create a cookie that would not expire or at least, last longer than a session?  We are using a form on a static site using the forms 2.0 api to embed on a landing page.  I have been tasked to essentially gate a nongated landing page depending if a user is known or not and if they come through an adwords campaign with certain utm parameters.   Not sure if the known user field could be used for something like this.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated, maybe @Sanford Whiteman could weigh in?  Thanks!-John

This is a fun one. I have tried to use auto fill forms in the past and it worked, but that was because I was not embedding the form on the web site.EnvironmentRight now I am working with a WordPress site, and have discovered that my predecessor really mucked it up. There were 3 outdated Marketo Plug-ins, the wrong Munchkin code and lots of additional things that brought the site performance down. On top of that all the forms were Iframed. The site also has lots of mixed content HTTP, and HTTPS, right now we are working to move to HTTPS which has issues with the Iframes, because the Marketo instance is not secured with the SSL certificate. (There is an additional cost to adding the certificate in Marketo and there is a small amount of down time.)Embedding the forms is the solution I came up with, but they don't auto fill. This isn't a deal breaker, but I would like to make things easier for people when they fill out forms.ResearchI have been putting together some information based on th

Hi Community! At our project we use Granite fileupload widget ('granite/ui/components/foundation/form/fileupload') to work with images and videos. To specify the family of assets supported to upload we use configuration's property 'mimeTypes' that is simply passes on the value to 'accept' attribute of 'input' html tag. We use regexp as the attribute's value (say, image/.* -- HTML input accept Attribute) and it works fine for the first time, however when a user simply opens dialog again the validation blocks the dialog from submitting because it thinks that the field of the asset is empty when it's 100% still there. If we change the property to 'image' value -- everything works great.Could you please help me find out what's wrong? Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to add additional fields to a page component that is extending /libs/wcm/foundation/components/basicpage/v1/basicpageI have tried following the official documentation:Customizing Views of Page PropertiesGitHub - Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/aem-authoring-extension-page-dialogThis does not seem to work.  On both Edit and Create, I see the default fields only, and not the additional fields I've created.Has the process for adding fields changed in AEM 6.4?  I have noticed that the configuration for the tabs has been moved from the cq:dialog node and now have individual nodes in a folder called tabs in the root of the component.  Could this be why I am unable to extend the dialog? Here is what I have inside my page in cq:dialog:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:granite="http://www.adobe.com/jcr/granite/1.0" xmlns:cq="http://www.day.com/jcr/cq/1.0" xmlns:jcr="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0" xmlns:nt="http://www.

I noticed, the core components (v2) do not let author define the placement (left right or center alignments) of the component on the page and they do not even let author define width, not through the dialog authoring nor through the style system, both the alignment and sizing can well be I assume this is because of the availability of the powerful layout container. Is this philosophy of using responsive grid to achieve the desired layout of the components always recommended? even for the custom components I create for my site?  Are there any other key points/criteria I should consider before following the similar philosophy?

I'm trying to create a dataelement that will read an object called "transactionProds", and its properties. in my site code this is what i have:var transactionProds = {                  "sku": "SM-T280NZKAXAC",                  "name": "Galaxy Tab A (7.0)",                  "category": "",                  "price": "199.99",                  "quantity": "1",                  "discount": "0.0"              };              digitalData.ecommerce.transactionProducts.transactionProds;                            var transactionProds = {                  "sku": "SM-G955WZKAXAC",                  "name": "Galaxy S8+",                  "category": "",                  "price": "959.99",                  "quantity": "1",                  "discount": "0.0"              };              digitalData.ecommerce.transactionProducts.push(transactionProds);it could be a single product or multiple products. how do get the dataelement to read the multiple objects and its properties. We have a requirement where we need to make an external API call from Campaign Workflow for initiating a third-party service. The external REST API is protected by OAuth 2.0. Can you please help suggest if there any OOTB activity that can used for this purpose, if not, then what possible options do we have? We are on Campaign V7.

I'm trying to fire a Google GTAG script only on certain language variations of our site, I can't create a condition to fire this in our Tag Manager as it will impact other tags and pixels firing on the page rule.I wan't the tag to fire only on certain language variations: '^/(at|cn|cz|de|dk|en|eu|fr|it|nl|no|pl|pt|pt-br|se)/)'I'm trying to achieve this by using match method with Regex but I am getting a syntax error that I can't figure out on the below script: "Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ^" which I believe to be coming from the '^' at the start of regex string, however I need to only pull back pages that include the ISO market name (e.g. /en/) at the start of a URl string (e.g. /en/mypage/mysubpage)if (location.pathname.match(^\/(at|cn|cz|de|dk|en|eu|fr|it|nl|no|pl|pt|pt-br|se)\/); {{   var script = document.createElement('script');  script.setAttribute('src','https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=DC-XXXXXX');  document.head.appendChild(script);  window.dataLayer = wi

Ok so I've been following this seriesGetting Started with AEM Sites Chapter 3 - Client-Side Libraries and Responsive Grid and I can't get part 3 to work. after the clean install. nothing happens to my page.I can see that my files were successfully install in crx but don't know why it's not working(affecting my page).I'm still in the process of understanding how aem integrate it's css to it's page.

Hello there. I'm quite new to adobe analytics and this is my first question I posted here, so please don't be to harsh with me. I'm currently trying to measure a tricky process, that occurs after the page load and up on the interaction with the user, so far so good, this process comes in the form of a widget that also receives the response from the server within itself. The problem being is that this asynchronous process has to use the same variables that are used on page load since we have no variable available left. I tried to separate the tracking of this asynchronous process variables through a different rule (direct call rule), but that didn't help overcome the situation where by variables used by the page load were stepped on by the variables used by the widget. I hope I did myself clear, if please let me know. I thought perhaps changing the persistence of the evars to hit but then again, I only need this for very specific situation that does not occur all the time.Based on you

Hi All,We recently upgraded to AEM 6.3. After upgrade, we noticed that reverting inheritance does not automatically trigger the rollout. I have gone through the AEM documentation but it talks about inheritance at page level not at component level.https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/6-3/sites/administering/using/msm-livecopy.htmlDoes anybody know what will happen to component inheritance if the page level live copy is not suspended and author cancel and re-inherit the component. Thanks,Priyanka

Team,We have scenario in B2B retailer web sites where we can add more than 100 to 200 products to the cart at the same time to place the order. We are using s.product variable to capture the particular product ID, Quantity and price. Unfortunately, when we add more than 100 products to the cart then we are seeing the status as "414 Request URI Too Large" as shown on the attached screenshot. Could any one assist me to fix this issue and let me know for any other information.Thank you,Jay.
