Hi all,Had a question about user profile synchronization.Existing State (AEM 5.6.1):Right now we have an offline process create an XML dump of users and their custom properties and store them in a file. Everyday at 5am, we've got a scheduler running in AEM that parses that file and updates the "/profile" child node of each rep:User in AEM if a property's value has changed. If something was changed, we mark a cq:Page under the rep:User as modified and needing forward replication, to which a workflow launcher listens to. The workflow that runs then activates that rep:User node, effectively pushing the updated "/profile" child node to all publish instances. This works fine right now because "/home/users/t/test-user" is the path on author and all publishers.Future State (AEM 6.2):I could keep doing what I'm doing for 5.6.1 but wanted to see if anyone else has tried or done something differently. I kinda feel like this method is less than stellar. I thought about User Sync[1] but that's rea

How can I save custom colors to the design studio? I don't want to enter the code each time I need to update an email background color or font color.

Hi,After installing a code package in the upgraded instance AEM 6.2(couple of author instances), seen some issue with number of services available.I have compared the services by expanding the bundle-> used services block. Same code package has been installed in both the instances, it's our custom service. I have tried to delete the bundle and then re-install it several times but no luck, because of this I'm getting many exceptions while browsing the functionalities. Please help to resolve the issue? Thanks,Ayyappa

My team loves the design and functionality of this Reachforce landing page and quiz. From the source I can see they utilized Marketo; however was the quiz created solely using Marketo forms or were any other tools used to create it?

Hi ,I need to approve multiple AEM pages through single workflow. Please suggest or give some reference.  thanks,

I've recently installed CQ 5.6 on my mac.  Whenever I connect to my company's VPN using AnyConnect Cisco, it doesn't load properly.  It will take a really long time to start up and then whenever I try to go to any page such as localhost:4502 or localhost:4502/crx/packmgr I will get an http 503 error.  Whenever I don't use the vpn, CQ tools and pages load fine, but I need to connect to the VPN because of certain security configurations for the company's website to load. Has anyone else ever had this issue with CQ and VPN?Other relevant information:Mac OS 10.11.5JDK version 7 update 80Connected to VPN using cisco any connect softwareAttached are relevant screen shots.

Hi Team,     I have a situation like need to pull a report which pages are having the DAM specific folder URLs.  I am able to pull that by using the query builder. By using the below query path=/content/*fulltext=/content/dam/*p.limit=-1 But in results, I am getting only [ {path: "****",excerpt: "",name: "small",title: "small",lastModified: "2016-10-07 18:52:43"},I wanted to add extra result field to this query. If yes how I can do it.  For example images in JCR:content stored like below. small:  {jcr:primaryType: "nt:unstructured",fileReference: "/content/dam/eahelp/articles/sports/fifa-mobile-attack-mode.jpg", I would like to get the fileRefernce property in that query .OrIs there anyway Can I get the report of DAM images which are used in the pages? Thanks In Advance

We recently enabled MSI and the Outlook plugin for sales to "send via Marketo". We've noticed spell check option in Outlook is disabled using the MSI Outlook plugin. A native Outlook pop-up that checks spelling before sending no longer appears when sending via the MSI Outlook plugin. If sales were to send email reponses and use the Salesforce BCC method instead of MSI Outlook plugin, I'm expecting the following outcome:- Marketo generated emails will continue to appear within MSI in Salesforce- Human-generated emails sent from sales using Salesforce BCC address will appear in the Activity History (or they may need human resolution if Salesforce doesn't know the record with which to associate the email). If we are willing to live with this, are there any downsides? Are there any better alternatives?

I'm wondering if anybody has successfully implemented a single global WordPress form that customizes the download button URL to point to the individual PDF based on the page?I'm trying to implement something similar to Marketo's own Resource library (i.e. Building Effective Landing Pages ), where a prospect can fill out one form for one resource, and never have to fill out the form again when they navigate to a new resource on the same site.I've been using the "Form Embed" code, as well as using the "If Known HTML" to hide the form and show the Download button. My issue is how do I dynamically add the PDF URL to that button when I have 10 landing pages that use that same form? I have a developer that is versed in javascript and jQuery but we're struggling with the best solution for achieving this. I'm open to any solutions or best practices that somebody has used before. Thanks!

what is the difference between table and data table.??

We are looking at updating analytics on a page that has multiple images within a scroll module, and want to track these elements individually within a page load.We were looking at using List vars for tracking views for each individual image that appears within the module. As an example, we would use the list variable to say list1=image33, image21, image18, image83, image38, image69, image78, image4; and set 'event4=1' and define event4 as image view. We'd like more details about that image also applied for reporting, so for example the first image in the module is image33. We would like to apply context data to that stating that image is for product=tree_oak and then image 21 would have context data of product=tree_elm and so on. Can context data be applied to individual value in a list var?

Hi,I am looking for resources/articles/advice on how to use Sass (SCSS) within AEM. Our current setup is a Maven project which we paste the CSS files into (in the /etc/designs or /etc/clientlibs folders), the SCSS files are currently in a separate repository which uses Grunt to generate the CSS. So (when developing locally) there is a bit of copying and pasting between the Sass and AEM codebases and then the project is built using Eclipse.Ideally I would like a set up within our AEM project whereby the CSS is built (but not versioned), and the SCSS files are just versioned. As a first step I am happy to have SCSS files just versioned and CSS built and also versioned. Could still use Grunt within the Maven project or any other alternatives if easier.I had found a post on this forum from a few years ago - http://help-forums.adobe.com/content/adobeforums/en/experience-manager-forum/adobe-experience-manager.topic.html/forum__qyym-can_you_pleaseletm.html - but it doesn't really answer the q

Hi all I have  a developed a rte multifield component. where author can add any number of list items ( and can delete them . my issue is when i provide content for list items it is displaying fine when i come back open the dialog all the list items are empty.

Hi All,Is it possible to include a Generic Analytic Snippet in author??Thank you.

We planned to use this document https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-2/administer/security/security/sync.html to configure user sync on two 6.2 publish instances.  It seems though that user profiles would have to be located under /home in order to be synchronized. Our requirement is to synchronize profiles that are of the type cq:page under a path such as /content/<sitename>/profiles/0/0/0/0/0/0/0/00000001_profile.  Is this possible through the user sync functionality?  Prior to 6.2 we had utilized reverse replication to accomplish this.  Do we need to configure 6.2 in the same manner? Thank you

Hi Team,Do we have link share functionality for an asset in AEM 6.1 which helps the user to not log in to the system to access the asset after using the generated link? If Yes,how to do it? ~Venkat

Hi,Do we have link share functionality for an asset in AEM 6.1? If Yes,how to do it?

Hello,Reposting to the right forum:I came across this link which talks about capability of converting HTML to PDF in 'PDF Generator':https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6-1/aem-document-services-programmatically.html?#PDFGeneratorServiceI was trying to understand what the end result of this conversion would be - Does the conversion happen as is i.e. after conversion, when you open the PDF, the fully rendered HTML page will be displayed in the PDF? Or the PDF will contain the HTML markup code?Or is it similar to PDF rewriter functionality in AEM which uses xslt-fo to design a pdf based on content from the markup?I had a requirement where a PDF needs to be generated based on data from custom XML/ HTML and was wondering whether PDF generator could be used for that. Also, is this something that comes bundled with AEM?Thanks.

own votefavorite We are enhancing the components that already build in AEM 6.2 using touch UI. When we are deploying our enhancement to author environment and replicated, there is no components shown in the page, but the component is existed in the page and also jcr property is updated.Could you please let us know what went wrong? Thanks in advance.      down votefavorite We are enhancing the components that already build in AEM 6.2 using touch UI. Does anyone has help /document around setting up a PROD environment with 1 single Author, multiple publishers & multiple dispatchers on Linux platform?I'm looking for AEM 6.2 setup. We are not using MONGO.

Hi All,We create Lucene index definition under /oak:index, if we want to index only specific paths we can create this under specific paths also. We create these nodes through CRXDE. But in a production environment we need a better way to plan deployment of indexes and maintenance of them. In Production, we would have multiple publish instances, indexes should be present on all instances.I could think of "Create a separate package for index definitions, which can be deployed through Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins." Are there any best practices for handling this in better way? Would index definitions through code trigger re indexing or create any other issues?ThanksSandeep

HI, I have been using cURL commands in CQ5.6 to upload & download packages. Now I am trying to use them in AEM6 and download command doesnt work.I have executed the below commandcurl -u admin:adm!nn0wn http://localhost:4508/etc/packages/my_packages/xxxx.zip > xxxx.zipand it just returns a 0 byte file. Is there any way to download packages through commands in AEM6.0

I'm looking to standardize state and country in Marketo in accordance with the norms of our Salesforce and Cvent database. Both databases spell out states, but Marketo's default dropdown is to abbreviate. When I tried to edit the dropdown values in a form to spell out states, the values did not appear in the approved form. Did I miss a step or does Marketo not allow default dropdowns to be edited?
