This email script I created works perfectly with one exception. It returns with a leading blank character. Not sure why it does this but I imagine there is a way to trim. ##check if the Preferred Name is populated and set    #if(${lead.Prefered_First_Name__c} != "")        #set($birthdayfirstname = "${lead.Prefered_First_Name__c}")##check if the First Name is populated and set       #elseif(${lead.FirstName} != "")        #set($birthdayfirstname = "${lead.FirstName}")    #else        #set($birthdayfirstname = "default")    #end   ##print the image name${birthdayfirstname}Boom shakalaka

What is the best approach to deploy 3rd party dependencies to AEM OSGI / Felix via Maven build of OSGI bundle? My team has a requirement to build an OSGI Servlet.  It will use dependency org.apache.oltu.oauth2.client that does not exist in CQ.I have a pom to build the servlet now and it references the 3rd party dependency.  But when I deploy to AEM OSGI, I see this:Imported Packages.......org.apache.oltu.oauth2.client,version=[1.0,2) -- Cannot be resolvedWhat is the best way / recommend approach to resolve this issue ?  I think we need to package 3rd party dependencies within the OSGI bundle for our servlet?  If yes, how do we specify this in maven POM ?Thanks in advance for helpful replies.

I have a requirement where we need to create a version only when there is a change in binary of an Asset, but not for the metadata update.AEM by default creates version when there is a change in both binary of an asset and metadata update.can you please help me on this . Thanks in advacne

Folks,I heard from one of my colleague that AEM Mobile launched recently has replaced PhoneGap platform. I didn't find many references around it, but was wondering if you can clarify and provide me some pointer URLsRegardsVinny

I'm not sure I understand today's message:Please be advised that we implemented a security patch on April 6, 2016 to strengthen token encryption in email campaign links. No action is required on your part to implement the patch.Email campaign links sent after this date will work in the usual manner. Emails sent prior to the patch deployment that have links that are automatically shortened will also work in the usual manner.Emails sent prior to the patch deployment that have links that are not shortened (e.g. unsubscribe links, URLs containing tokens and webinar registration URLs) and contain links with an old token will continue to function as links and track link click events. However, if these links are clicked on, form pre-fill will be automatically disabled when serving the destination landing page.By "Email Campaign Links" you mean regular links in emails?Which links are automatically shortened? What are "Links with an old token"?So, if I have an old email and I click on the link i

Hello Marketo Community!I have an interesting problem that needs a creative solution. What I need is a way to target a string in a url - For example on these webpages using "abc"www.abc.com/productsabc.co.uk/productshk.abc.com/productsWe want to target by webpage string of "products" to catch all of the url's with "products" in the url. The only other solution is to manually add every domain extension and subdomain (Yes, we are using both)  to the webpage "is" constraint. This is not a good option because we don't have a standardized set of translations per page. It's essentially different for every page so we would have to manually check each page and then add the specific urls that are live..... this method is just not practical. You are probably wondering what about the "Visited Web Page" Filter option?I don't think using the "visited web page" filter is a good option because a lead could come in on one landing page and then convert somewhere else on the site but it would put the

I would like to be able to retrieve original CSV files that were used in an upload to Marketo (in this instance in particular it was a Member List Import). Is this list cached and can it be accessed? If this is possible, from where can these files be retrieved?

I tried to make use of the PHP sample snippet on Update Landing Page Template Content by Id » Marketo Developers with substituting my REST API URL, client_id, client_secret, and a simple template file. It simply produces bool(false) as a result. When I used a slightly different equivelent, I found that my REST call results in... object(stdClass)#3 (3) { ["requestId"]=> string(16) "e714#153c7bf644f" ["success"]=> bool(false) ["errors"]=> array(1) { [0]=> object(stdClass)#4 (2) { ["code"]=> string(3) "611" ["message"]=> string(12) "System error" } } }What's up with the mysterious error code 611?// Victor

I have alerts sent to our sales team every time someone fills out a form. I want to know which form each lead is filling out, and returning leads. I tested multiple tokens including the campaign description token. I did not turn off cookies or search incognito because I don't see every single person deleting their history every time they browse.  I filled out form "A" as a test and it populated correctly in the subject line with the corresponding form "A" information. Then I test filled out form "B", but it populated Form "A" information in the subject line. Is there a way around this.  If it's a returning lead, we still want to see in the alert subject line, or somewhere on the form, what they are registering for each time they visit the site.Is there anyway around this?

Hi,I was wondering is it possible to add multiple data entries into one text area field? Main idea is to track lead's touch points (we track these with UTM parameters and the touch point value can be like twitter, facebook, linkedin...) and have all the values in same text area. Example:We drive traffic to landing page from Facebook. Lead ends up to a landing page and downloads a whitepaper. Source Last field would now have value "Facebook" and Source Multi Touch field would have also the same value "Facebook". On the second time the same lead comes to another landing page through Twitter ad and performs download action. Now Source Last field value is "Twitter" and Source Multi Touch field should be "Facebook, Twitter".Marketo Smart Campaign:Smart List: "Data Value Changes" - Attribute "Source Last"Flow: "Change Data Value" - Attribute "Source Multi Touch" New Value "old value + {{lead.Source Last}}"Thanks for your help!

I am preparing for AEM6 certification with exam code  9A0-384, having done that and when I was attempting to enroll for this exam, I have realized that this exam has been removed from Pearson Vue. Does anyone know when will it be available again.

hello,we got AEM to power our next site and we are/were using Sharepoint. One thing that's missing in AEM from sharepoint is the backoffice. So lets say you need some records that needs to be shown as link or 1 record out of them to be shown on a page (massaged with extra data) etc.I think AEM doesn't provide you a way to write data in database column format, I mean you can do that & i do understand the JCR structure, what i wanted to know if i have author just filling in the blanks for data to be stored in JCR , i would have to create a page (Without components or with it) for data entry. I am taking a look at the example to use for storing customer record in JCR  https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/persisting-cq-data-java-content1.htmlThe example shows how to persist data in JCR. is there any other way out of the box to do that in AEM.I think we might have many unique data repositories like that, wanted to know if there is an easier way or  is there already a package

Hi,I noticed today that we've started getting a snippet called Bombora loading on our website all of a sudden. I've confirmed it's not from any other tool we use to via a process of elimination (and based on the fact that they claim they do demographic and intent data), I'm assuming it's Marketo related. Can anyone provide more data on what this is and where it came from? Thanks,Andy

Hi,I've sent myself a test version of an email I've just created, and when I click on the link "view as webpage", the page says:"Cannot get email content- Customer does not belong to any POD"Any idea why?!Thanks,Marie

I am wondering how I would go about creating a campaign with one email going to a list. But some of the sentences will change depending on the location of the lead. For example, a lead in NJ receiving an email at 12pm, will have a sentence that says: I hope you have a great afternoon! While a lead in CA receives the same email at 9am, but instead their sentence will say: Good Morning, hope you're day is off to a great start!and so on....Is this possible?  If so, how? Thanks

I'm looking at opening up a Salesforce to Salesforce connection to share a selected subset of records between two Salesforce deployments within the same company—but one of my primary outcomes is to enable these shared records to enter the Marketo ecosystem, since one of the two orgs has an active Marketo deployment. The Marketo-connected Salesforce org would be the master in the relationship. When such records are shared, does this cause any issues with those records being in Marketo as well? In theory it seems like it should be a non-issue, but I was curious if there are any gotchas to watch out for.For the record, the Salesforce org that is not currently connected to Marketo/the child org would not need MSI.

Team,We would like to show very specific recommendations on the cart page based on a product(s) in the customer's cart. For example, we would like to have many of if/then configurations like:If a "#2 Pencil" is in a customer's cart then show the "White Eraser".Is this possible? If so, can you help point me in the right direction? It seems that if it is possible I would do so with a custom attribute (see attachment). However, I can't get the "Select Attribute" dropdown to populate. I have custom attributes in my feed...Thanks a ton in advance!Nick

We got an email template design from a rebranding agency, but now need to find someone with experience in Marketo email templates to actually make it happen. Any suggestions?Thank you!Taylor

Hi, when I trigger an s.t call using a direct call rule to set a specific pagename I'm getting two server calls from the same page, one from the regular library and one from the direct call. How can I just set the pageName variable using the direct call so that when the rest of the tool runs I only track 1 page view but with the correct pagename? I'm thinking we can just leverage the custom script on the direct call rule to set s.pageName="XYZ"; and have it solved, but its not working.

Hi all, I recently saw Revenue Cycle Explorer in action, and wanted to pitch to my Marketing Ops org that we look at adding it to our own Marketo instance. Does anyone know of a webpage/PDF/video etc anywhere that provides information about the product, it's functionality, benefits, and pricing? Thanks in advance!

Is there a way to configure an Email Performance Report to show data on HTML vs Text versions of emails? It would be useful to know how many people are receiving our text versions and how they perform vs HTML. Any way to do this in Marketo?

Hi marketing friends,I recently tried to include multiple "Campaign is Requested" triggers in single Smart Campaigns, and one in particular is causing a headache:I want a Smart Campaign to be available for request that adds a lead as a member of our early-stage engagement/nurture program. I want this request to be available from Sales Insight (when Sales identifies a new lead or partner that may be outside our predefined target demographic) AND from a Marketo Flow Step (for certain Marketing Captured Leads, for instance). I tried adding two "Campaign is Requested" triggers (one for Sales Insight, another one for Marketo Flow Step, since I can't select multiple sources) into my smart list, and I got the blinking-red-light-bulb-of-doom.Am I not able to have both triggers in one campaign? For now, I cloned the campaign and have one for MSI and one for the Flow Step, but I like to limit the number of trigger campaigns when possible.

Hi, I want to use the 'Save a Draft Email' functionality from Geometrixx Finance. I've copied over the respective JS, the workflow and the ecma script that triggers a call to com.adobe.aem.geometrixx.finance.NewsletterUtil. This java class puts out a request to search for 'authorizables' with the email address which was entered into the form - http://localhost:4502/bin/security/authorizables.json?filter=myEmail@com - The search seems to only work for already existing users (e.g Aaron McDonald) but the search comes back empty when I either add a new user with the email or if I change the email address of an existing user. Does anyone know why and how I can make this work? What exactly does the triggered servlet do? Which AEM package contains this servlet in order to have a look?Any help is very appreciated. Thanks, Alex

Hi all — Has anyone ever used a trigger and/or filter to perform an action based upon a specific SFDC campaign type? Here's the scenario: added to SFDC campaign (type=Event), data value changes, update member status (type=Event) to specific a value. Ideally, it'd be helpful to use a SFDC campaign type filter rather than entering each campaign name. Thank for any ideas in advance!Loren
