Why does a AEM 6.1 MSRP needs SOLR along with MongoDB ? Is SOLR a default search provider for MSRP based communities? Is it mandatory to configure SOLR or Can OOTB OAK-Lucerne used for search? How the MSRP can work along other search providers ?

HI All,I am facing an issue to integrate AEM 6.1 with OKTA SSO. I provide following configuration in OKTA end. 1) SP URL, 2) NameIDFormat - "urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:nameid-format:transient" rest of the configurations are default. In AEM end I provide following information, 1) IDP URL (OKTA URL), 2) Service Provider Entity ID, 3) Create trust store by supplying the password & then upload the IdP certificate 4) Create KeyStore by supplying the password 5) Rest of the configuration I did as per the "http://www.aemstuff.com/blogs/july/saml.html" URL. But when I am trying to execute the AEM I am getting "com.adobe.granite.auth.saml.SamlAuthenticationHandler Private key of SP not provided: Cannot sign Authn request" warning and the screen is blinking continuously. I may have to provide public or private key, but I am not sure who will provide that key and where I have to import that. Could you please help me on this issue?ThanksTridib

Can someone help me understand the difference between the data-sly-list and data-sly-repeat sightly tags and scenarios in which each one can be used?

When uploading .docx files to AEM, some of the files thumbnail, while other do not.  Is there a reason for this, or a specific setting that is messing things up?Thanks

Hi,I am using AEM 6.0 with SP2. We have added ACLs through GLOB patterns. I want to create a authoring group which has very limited access(in welcome screen just websites, inbox should be displayed). When user clicks on websites icon, which should open site admin console with the folders that user is authorized to see.We can use Useradmin console to fullfill my requirement. I mean i need to provide read access at top level (/) and need to deny on many things. We should touch many node ACLs to allow and deny access which is complex. Just to avoid that, i wrote a java utility which reads property file (will specify the group names, content paths and access needed) and generates rep:policy nodes at specific content paths. I was able to restrict access and allowing very limited access to user in welcome screen. When user clicked on websites icon, siteadmin page is opened and showing websites without any content folders even though user has provided read write access to content paths. In lo

I have a registration form with few fields like name, email id etc and a submit button. Here are the few questions regarding this:  1.Can I create a form with fields(name, email id) in DPS 2015.   2. If yes,  How can we retrieve the data from the form after submitting. Is there any  API to retrieve the form data from DPS 2015?  3. Where do we store the data? Can it be stored in AEM or DPS?Appreciate your suggestions and help.

Hi all,We have a requirement where we need to create a custom component group via a Java service. This service will be responsible of reading a list of components and adding those in the custom Group. The purpose is to display only the configured components in the sidekick irrespective of the templates selected. We know AEM provides OOTB etc\design functionality but just want to know if anyone in the forum has come up with any such scenario. Thanks,Shikha

When I create user and groups in 6.1,node is getting created with some junk value(may be encrypted) as it's name instead user or group id .Please check the attachments and correct me if I am doing something wrong.

Just wanted to feedback that the following 2 coming features are something we're really excited by:•    Curation process (limit dimensions, metrics, segments that others can use in a project)•    Guided Analysis workspace (easily consumable output designed to be shared with less experienced users)These kind of features are the things we desperately need to help us increase wider business usage of the tools which will in turn free up the analytics team to do the stuff that really adds value (rather than churning out numbers)Kind regards,Andy

I am setting up a webinar that I want to show in the user's time zone - everyone seeing the landing page is already in Marketo and has a Time Zone field populated for them. I wrote an email script token to change the time zone in emails, now I want the landing page to also change the time zone displayed but there is nothing like an email script token for landing pages. I wrote some javascript to try to populate a <span> that I put an ID on based on the lead's Time Zone field. However, the Javascript isn't working.I think what's breaking is the way I'm referencing the lead field - how do you reference a specific lead field in Javascript to populate on a landing page?I've tried a handful of things, this is where I left off with the HTML element I put on the landing page: <script language="Javascript" src="/js/public/jquery-latest.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script> <script src="/js/public/jQueryString-2.0.2-Min.js" type

1.We had created a new system user with the following node structure:/home/users/system/iea/ieaadminThis was used to get s session object and used further. All this was done on AEM 6.1 with Java 1.82. Now we wanted to test out our code on AEM 6.0 Service Pack 1 with Java 1.8.The first issue we faced was that the package manger did not allow the upload of this old ACL package. It says that the authorizableFolder "iea" was not found and so cannot upload.3. The idea behind having our project specific user inside a separate folder was to manage the vlt filter.xml inclusions. Can we know what is the issue and the best way to handle this so that a common ACL package will work for both instances?

Hi all,We are trying to improve the performance of page by just including the required CSS /JS instead of including all CSS / JS of project. I think this is a common use-case where we have lots of CSS / JS but we use only few on each page depending upon the number & types of component used on that page. What is the best solution for this which will be good balance of authoring experience as well as improving page performance at the same time.Below are the goals which i am trying to solve:1) Make single CSS / JS call if possible           - Multiple CSS / JS call will increase the network traffic and will decrease performance of page2) Inlucde only selective CSS / JS (club them all into one) which are required for that page        - This will make sure that size of final CSS / JS is optimum instead of including everything. because of the CSS / JS might even not been used on page3) Keep Authoring simple if possible         - Trying to see if we do not add extra work on Authoring side

I'm having issues within the Campaigns reports getting a line item named "Unspecified."  Unfortunately, even when I try to filter it out it either A) Doesn't remove it from the list or B) Indicates there is no data available at all.  I'm not quite sure why it's populating to begin with and would like somehow to remove from my list of data.  I'm trying to share this information with leadership teams and don't want this to be of confusion.  It is also doesn't allow the rest of the data to populate on the graph.  Does anyone know why I am getting this "Unspecified" line item and how to get rid of it?Attached:  Image of report

I have implemented an custom DAM Handler to create video image renditions at different parts of the video using FFMpegWrapper.  I need to rename the rendition with the time interval from the still.  When I try to move the rendition an exception occurs saying the rendition node does not exist.  Here is the code:BufferedImage thumbnail = bufferedImage if(thumbnail != null) { BufferedImage rgbaThumbnail = new BufferedImage(thumbnail.getWidth(), thumbnail.getHeight(), 2) rgbaThumbnail.getGraphics().drawImage(thumbnail, 0, 0, (ImageObserver)null) ThumbnailGenerator generator = new ThumbnailGenerator(asset, rgbaThumbnail) HashSet configs = new HashSet() configs.add(new ThumbnailConfigImpl(weight, height, false)) generator.generate(configs) } Rendition rendition = asset.getRendition("cq5dam.thumbnail."+ weight + "." + height + ".png") rename(rendition, imageName) session.move(rendition.getPath(), rendition.getParent().getPath() + "/" + imageName)

So I was reading the new release notes and saw this- App Menu now available at all levels of appsSo how do I get this to turn on for an app do i just do a rebuild of the app? As It says it will now live everywhere which is fantastic but the whats new page doesn't say what we need to do to activate it. Our in development app isn't showing it so i'm wondering if we just need to re-create the app and re sign it?(Digital Publishing Solution Help | What's new in this DPS 2015 release)Thanks as alwaysGeorge M.

Hello,  Is there a way to automatically alternate articles based on metadata or sort by date?  Thank you,Melizza

What is the quickest way to convert app navigation from 1 level to 2 levels after a project has already been established?

Since the newest update of the DPS Preflight App on iOS I'm unable to login to see projects. I'm able to login to the DPS dashboard with the very same user/passwords.What to do?ThanksHaeme Ulrich

I know downloading of collections is possible from browse pages, but when will it be possible from Content View? The best solution would be it to default download the complete collection when the user tap the collection on the home page - just like it is done in the old DPS app.Is this going to be implemented soon?If I start reading our current edition in the DPS2015-app, I soon (after about four-five pages) hit a page not completely downloaded, and we think this is a turn-off for the customer.

Hi,now my component reads its annotation properties with the activation function.I need to have a property shared by two components. Can i read the property of another component inside the activation function? Thanks

In the old app we have several ways of navigating within a collection. In DPS2015 we miss at least a navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, to let us quickly swipe from end to the beginning (or vice versa) of a collection. If you open a collection you've already started to read, you land on the page you last visited. This is correct behavior. But if you then want to read from the beginning, the only way of doing this is by swiping one, and one article - until you after 50 articles find the one you are looking for.We use Content View, and not the browse page.
