We are experiencing a weird issue around a website's favicon. It's located under /etc/designs/abc/clientlib/favicon.ico. On the local system the file is OK, not corrupted and shows up just the way it should. When build to the AEM instance though, it seems to become scrambled/corrupted:There's no errors when building. We are using the latest AEM 6.0 with SP1 installed. This happens with all .ico files that I tried. Other images in the clientlib folder are fine. Any idea what this could be?

Hello all,Editing a website in the CQ5.6.1 WCM, is it possibile to hide a component based on the source device that requested the page? For example: I have a normal page with some components in it that will be displayed if the webpage is visited via desktop browser, but I want some of those components to be hidden if the same page is visited using a tablet (let's say iPad). Is it feature available by default in CQ 5.6.1?Thank you all!

We are testing Mixed Media Set in AEM 6.0 SP1。 When I select edit a mixed media set, the list is empty in the edit page (as the attachement), and when I add new picture or imageset, I cannot save it.    I find the following error log when edit a mixed media set:14.10.2014 10:58:15.033 *ERROR* [192.168.101.109 [1413255494393] GET /libs/dam/gui/content/s7dam/sets/setmembers.html/content/dam/test/testmixedmediaset01 HTTP/1.1] org.apache.sling.servlets.get.impl.DefaultGetServlet No renderer for extension html, cannot render resource MergedResource [path=/mnt/overlay/dam/gui/content/s7dam/sets/setmembers/jcr:content/body/content/content/items/publish, resources=[Ljava.lang.String;@21ad7d75]14.10.2014 10:58:17.251 *ERROR* [192.168.101.109 [1413255497111] GET /libs/dam/gui/content/s7dam/sets/mixedmedia.html/content/dam/test/testmixedmediaset01 HTTP/1.1] org.apache.sling.servlets.get.impl.DefaultGetServlet No renderer for extension html, cannot render resource TypeOverwritingResourceWrapper, t

What is triggering the "reordering" message I receive (see attached screen shot) when I'm selecting multiple assets to activate within the DAM (using shift-click or control-click)? I'm not looking to reorder anything; I simply want to activate them.

Is there a way to configure AEM 6 so that it can authenticate against two  or more different IdPs depending on path?   My environment has a single Author instance and four publish instances.  Author uses LDAP and my inquiry is specific to the publish instances.   I can envision trying to configure a couple of publish instances with one config and the other two with a different one and then directing traffic as appropriate but this seems more like a brittle workaround then clean solution.

After update from CQ 5.5 to AEM 5.6.1 we are facing situation when richtext component is stripping <script /> tags entered via "HTML source" mode. What is the preferred way of configuring this behavior?

Hi,Recently, I have updated Chrome  to 38.0.2125.101 m and CRXDE Lite (http://localhost:4503/crx/de/index.jsp) page fails to load since. Everything works fine for other browsers (FF, IE) though. I'm not the only developer, facing this issue in our team.Just wanted to ask, if it is a known issue, may be some hotfix/workaround is available?I'm using AEM 5.6.1.

Hi,We are using AEM 5.6.1 with cq-socialcommunities-pkg-1.4.186 installed for introducing comments on our website. The basic setup works fine and we want to customize the comment form now.Which is the best method to add required fields like "name" and "email" for a comment post, including error handling [1]. Is this functionality already integrated? For testing purpose we have also installed community-components-guide-pkg-1.0.33.zip [2].Thanks for any hint.Regards,Roland[1] http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-0/develop/social-communities/scf.html[2] http://localhost:4503/content/community-components/en/comments.html

Hello,I am using AEM 6.0 (not SP1).My problem is quite simple, I have an asset share page linked to an asset editor, and sometimes I just can't edit them (sidekick invisible, not minimized, drop zones not displayed, ...)I really do not know why sometimes I can edit them and sometimes not, I am always logged as admin, and already tried to activate/deactivate the pages.

We have a pretty big repository and i'm trying to perform the following SQL2 query which takes around 30 seconds to execute.Query -SELECT * FROM [CUSTOMNODETYPE] as t where ISDESCENDANTNODE('path_under_required_folders') and t.isModified=CAST('true' AS BOOLEAN)I enabled the debug logs for the package  org.apache.jackrabbit.core.query and am attaching the log messages..Going through the logs the below message seems suspicious:17.10.2014 01:43:18.049 *DEBUG* [10.239.60.171 [1413535373275] GET /crx/de/query.jsp?_dc=1413535372832&_charset_=utf-8&type=JCR-SQL2&stmt=SELECT%20*%20FROM%20CUSTOM_NODE_TYPE%20as%20t%20where%20ISDESCENDANTNODE(%27CUSTOM_PATH%27)%20and%20t.isModified%3DCAST(%27true%27%20AS%20BOOLEAN)&showResults=true HTTP/1.1] org.apache.jackrabbit.core.query.lucene.CachingIndexReader PlainDocId(2319940) not valid anymore.I don't think that the search should be this slow. Just a FYI the query returns 57 search results in around 25 seconds.Could anyone please help me

Hi,In Multidomain CQ mappings and Apache configuration, there's an internalRedirect defined that has two values:geometrixx.com: {    sling:internalRedirect: ["/content/geometrixx/en"],    jcr:primaryType: "sling:Mapping",    redirect: {        sling:internalRedirect: ["/content/geometrixx/en/$1","/$1"],        jcr:primaryType: "sling:Mapping",        sling:match: "(.+)$"    }}How does Sling interpret such multi-value internal redirects?Thanks in advance.

We have configured SAML authentication handler to authenticate users to access page on publisher. Authentication handler has “PATH” property which refer to repository content path for which this authentication handler to be used. Authentication works fine if I access content within that path with complete repository path. But when I use vanity URL of page to access it, then authentication is not working. I get blank page.   Is there any configuration required to make authentication work for vanity URL?We use AEM 5.6.1.

CQ5 uses dc:format to denote the mime-type of the asset. (http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/current/dam/metadata_for_digitalassetmanagement.html)I have a custom dc:format for a video : video/vnd.xxxx.brightcove. And i have a custom video dam asseteditor for this created under "/apps/dam/content/asseteditors/video/vnd/tvnz/brightcove/" to override "/libs/dam/content/asseteditors/video". In damadmin's search tab, if i search for videos and from the result of videos returned, when i click to open the video, it opens in the default asseteditor and the left panel shows no 'Type' info. (although dc:format property is available on the asset metadata). Here's the wierdness -> when you now refresh this page, it re-loads in the custom video dam asseteditor. There is a workaround for this - if you ensure that the video asset has a property "dam:MIMEtype", it opens in the correct video dam asseteditor everytime and it shows the 'Type' correctly to be 'video/vnd.xxxx.brightcove' in the left pane.

Hi,Is there a way to see what versions of the following tools AEM 6 ships with?jQuery (including jQuery UI etc)Less compilerAngularJSBootstrapIs there somewhere I can see the versions used in the console, or even in the JCR?  Or is it documented somewhere what versions are shipped with AEM 6?Are there guidelines on changing versions of these tools in AEM?  Are there any known issues with version compatibility between these tools themselves or with AEM directly? Thanks,Kristian

Hi,I hope somebody will have solved the following issue already. I am needing to configure the translation tool in CQ to allow translations for en_GB and en_US, but I am having no luck.I add the languages to /etc/languages, and they do show as columns but when I enter data and save they are not actually saved. I have tried different formats of the language code but none seem to work. Thanks for any helpDamian.

Hi,I've run into an issue while trying to create a custom OSGI bundle that solves the following problem:We have a list of several thousand keys in a CSV file that need to point to specific pages, and then render the content of that page.Conceptually, I believe I understand how I'm supposed to do it:The OSGI bundle runs in the background, available for a *.JSP to reference. The bundle loads the CSV*, parsing the key->value from the JSP that was referenced. (eg. 54, /path/to/the/requested/resource)The bundle then renders the resource out as part of the request.* I know the second step needs refinement (it should be loaded after the server loads, and remain in memory until it's shut down; we don't want to thrash the HDD and memory is much faster but for now this is mainly for a proof of concept.)I should add that I'm pretty lousy when it comes to Java programming but using various tutorials I've managed to return a string so far. From that I've then tried to resolve the resource inside

Hello,I am having issue using default login component from foundations/components/login. When I use this in my site, it works fine with correct login credentials but it redirects to default geomatrix site login page "/content/geometrixx/en/toolbar/account/login.html" when passing incorrect login credentials.I then defined cug:loginPage="login page path" property to my home node, it worked fine only one time but when I have querystring in url "login page path?resource=%2Fcontent%2Fsitename%2Flogin.html&$$login$$=%24%24login%24%24&j_reason=invalid_login" , then it goes to "login page path + /j_security_check" page and displays "invalid_login" with 403 forbidden status code in fiddler. So user is not getting redirected to login page with j_reason=invalid_login from j_security_check when I pass incorrect login credentials. Can anyone help with this issue? This is urgent issue so I will appreciate if I can get any help soon.Thank you so much!

I want to switch from the old foundation parsys to the Sightly parsys without having to update the existing content we have.I first tried the ACS Commons Delegating Servlet:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <jcr:root xmlns:sling="http://sling.apache.org/jcr/sling/1.0" xmlns:jcr="http://www.jcp.org/jcr/1.0" jcr:primaryType="sling:OsgiConfig" prop.target-resource-type="wcm/foundation/components/parsys" sling.servlet.extensions="html" sling.servlet.methods="GET" sling.servlet.resourceTypes="foundation/components/parsys" sling.servlet.selectors=""/>But this doesn't work. Then I tried adding an overlay directly in the JCR /apps/foundation/component/parsysThis works but I need to copy the all the code in to it (from wcm/foundation/components/parsys). I can't use the sling:superResourceType as wcm/foundation/components/parsys.
