Workfront

I have a field that pulls either the budget, planned cost, or actual cost based on the status. I am wanting that column to sum based on groupings but it doesn't appear to show anything. How can I add the aggregated values from the Details section to the summary? Values are not shown in the summary.

Hello everybody,I know that the external users will be moved to the admin console, for example from hereDo external users migrate to Admin Console? - Adobe Experience League Community - 720388 But there's an aspect I have to understand to do the proper communication with these users:our external users are approving documents in a simple workflow where they get an email and a link to the document to proof.So they never have to sign in. Now, when moved to the Admin Console, they will receive an automatic email stating that they need to create an Adobe ID to authenticate.My question is: is this necessary in the described use case?Thank youKind regardsSébastien

Does anyone utilize Workfront for checking out equipment either as a resource or for maintenance purposes? For instance, our Studio and Tech teams often require specific types of equipment for various projects, and we are looking to implement KPIs to manage this process.

Hi everyone, I’d like to get your thoughts on this scenario: how would you handle notifying one team when another team misses their task deadline? Here’s a bit more context:Let’s say Team A is responsible for uploading a file by this Friday. If they don’t complete the task by then, I’d like a completely separate team, say Team B, to receive a notification, either via in-app alert or email on Friday (the due date). I’m aware that Workfront allows setting up reminders like a 1 day before due date alert, but in this case, I specifically need a notification sent to a different team on the actual due date if the task remains incomplete. Has anyone tackled something similar, or is there a simple solution in Workfront I might be missing? Thanks!

How to create nested sub task in Workfront by using fusion?

I kind of have a Love-Hate relationship with Layouts and their Assignments.Even though Layout assignments can be done to Team/Role/Group, When you assign a team or Group WF doesnt override the existing layouts of the users.It works better when you do it to a individual user always.

Hello all:), I am trying to figure out the Workload Balancer and I am facing some Issues regarding its usability. One Major Step would be to have the Field "planned Hours" in the Task-Summary, in Order to adjust the planned hours quickly, without going into the Task itself (not sure why its not like in the first place: thought that would be obvious as soon as you start allocating Hours with the Balancer). I edited the "Summary Panel" inside the "Layout Template" inside the "Group Settings" already, to display the "planned Hours" but it has no impact on the Task Summary. Looking forward to your Suggestions. leonhard

Hi there, I'm trying to create a single use approval process for a issue without any success though. Approval must be with multiple stages and the next stage can only be approved after current stage has been approved. Any idea(s) on how to achieve this?

Is it possible to set up event subscription in Workfront? For example, when a new project is created, the ServiceNow (SN) team at my company wants to get project details so they can insert this data into the ServiceNow table. We are not using Fusion for this integration. I informed them that Workfront does not have a built-in webhook feature, but I want to double-check here.

Hi CommunityI've created a project report that highlights projects where the condition is 'At Risk' in orange or any that are 'In Trouble' in red. However, this should only be applied to incomplete projects (where Percent Complete < 100). So, the one At Risk should be highlighted orange but the one In Trouble should not be highlighted red, as Percent Complete = 100. None of the other rows should be highlighted, as they're On Target. I've tried various combinations of cases in the text editor, without success. Any help would be appreciated.. thanksTony

Hello together, we have just introduced the Workload Balancer to help our Teamleader to allocate Hours for Tasks/Issues for 4 People.Issues take from Creation to Completion on average 60 - 90 Days with different Amount of Hours Project Tasks have a Duration of 14 Days with 20 Hours each (I have set the 20 Hours in the Project Template).-> That means in The Workload Planner automatically for Project tasks every Day 1.6 hours are allocated, for Issues around 0.08 Hours per Day. How do I in a fast Way adjust Allocations to be realistic? I could go ahead and manually set10 Days on 0 Hours; 4 Days on 8 Hours for Tasks 55 Days on 0 Hours; 5 Days on 8 Hours for Issuesbut that is very tidious Work. Ideally I would like as a standard to have the balancer set the Hours from the last Day Backwards for as many full days as needed. I already have a global Simple Duration set, that didnt help. Is anyone able to share their Knowledge or Experience? Thank you, Leo

I would like to share with the community my discovery after experimenting with multiple solutions. In my opinion, this is the simplest one and I hope it will help others. If you are willing to add in you Dashboard a report that display a listing of hyperlinks directing to internal links such as Calendars. You are at the right place! Step 1:First you need to create a Project, in your project create a task and add the calendar link in the URL field of your task(e.g.Project > Task 1; URL=https//ZZZZ.my.workfront.com/calendars/ID            > Task 2; URL=https//ZZZZ.my.workfront.com/calendars/ID2) Step 2:Go to Reports and create a Task report. In the columns (view), delete all the columns except for the "Task Name" column.Select the "task name" column, then click on "Switch to Text mode" and copy paste the code below. Remember to change the "displayname" to what you want your column title to be:descriptionkey=namedisplayname=Content Calend

Each month I produce a report from data captured from the last calendar month. I thought I had set up the report so that I could reference it at any point in the following month and the data shown would be from the previous calendar month. I have attached a screen shot of the filter I have been using in a hour report, but now thinking that $$TODAY-1m actually means 1 month ago today. How do I make it be the end of the last calendar month without putting in the actual dates of the last calendar month - I need this to be a rolling report = low maintenance! Thanks for any help and hope this makes sense!  

Has anyone found a way to link to related issues (similar to creating a predecessor on tasks between two projects)?

Hello! Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this but my users have been reporting that they can't open items from the approval widget into a new tab. When they click the item, it opens in the same tab instead. Users mentioned that they used to open items into a new tab but can't anymore. Is this functionality normal?

Hi All, I've created the following calculated field that works lovely except for the fact that when the first field in the calculation is empty, the field displays a comma before any of the following fields. Not a big deal but kind of an eyesore.
