Workfront Fusion

I just wanted to say that I noticed the new Search modules available in Fusion today. Or rather, when I was working on a scenario, I noticed that my Search modules had "(Legacy)" next to them.This, of course, piqued my interest. So for fun*, I put a new Search module in a scenario, made it search for Documents, and exported it. 14k. OMG. Earlier today, I copied a legacy Search module, one that I use for Documents. Did the same thing. 202k. What a difference. Usually I come on here when I'm trying to think about something or when I want to complain about getting surveys in Workfront or something else. But this....this is such an amazing gift to get on a Thursday. So...just wanted to say thanks! -j *My current idea of "fun" needs some TLC. 

I just stumbled upon this - Could anyone tell me what Fusion's *concepts* mean?

I have a scenario built that will periodically check for On Hold Projects which and retrieve all updates (notes) made to that project since it was put on hold. If the Project sponsor has not provided an update since it was put on hold after a given timeframe, reminders will be sent out and/or the project will be changed to Dead if no response received.    The issue i'm facing is that when Fusion searches for projects and retrieves a collection of updates, no more than 20 updates are included. This poses a problem if the project sponsor responded "21 updates ago"    Does anyone know if/how you can increase the limit of collections that can be retrieved?  

Does anyone have a quick fix in which to add vacations, without having users enter it into your HR system, then Outlook for Out of Office, and then Workfront for Workload Balancer? All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi Fusion Community, We have field called 'Service Area' in our Salesforce Org.  It is a (single select) picklist field, but is changing to a multi select picklist field.  This field currently syncs data bi-directionally (SFDC --> WF and WF --> SFDC) to a related Service Area field on a program custom form in Workfront. It's looking like I need to change my Workfront field from a dropdown field to a text field to house what's coming from Salesforce if more than one value is being passed (e.g. Strategy, Implementation, Assessment).  However, making the Workfront Service Area field a text field leaves us open to data quality issues if someone updates these values in Worfkront, and inputs an incorrect value, and the system then needs to sync data back to Salesforce. Is there anything in Fusion I can do whereby I can keep both Service Area fields in each system as multi select picklists and still pass data bi-directionally (e.g. parse incoming data into

Hello, as it is not possible to setup the Automatic Reminders to apply only a certain groups or teams, I was thinking about another approach to achieve that. We need this feature, but not for all users / teams / groups.Does anybody know, if there is a possibility to send a Workfront email triggered by Fusion / an API call on a "direct way"?I am aware of the fact, that I could create a note or an announcement via the API / Fusion. But to make sure, that the user will also be notified by email, the necessary notification settings need to be active. I would like to avoid using another email server to send a reminder.In the API explorer, there is an endpoint called EMAILC under api-unsupported, which among other things has an action called sendEmailNotification, but I did not get this to work yet. Hi everyone,  Right now we are building a scenario to assign a specific user based on issue status selection. For example, if the issue status is set to be 'For Translation Review' we will put the issue assignment to John.  We are using the 'Update Record' module to set the assignment to specific users. However, what we are noticing is that the Assigned to ID function above will replace the assignment instead of adding more users to it. For example if there was another person assigned to the issue previously, Fusion will replace the old users with the new user ID put in the Assigned To ID in the module.  Is there a way for us to not un-assign the previous user assigned to the issue but to add more users to the assignment? Any help is greatly appreciated. Considering the current limitation of manual token refresh, what steps can be taken to mitigate the associated risks and improve the efficiency of the authentication process? Currently, we have to do a manual refresh of the token used for authentication. There is no direct way to automatically update the token within the system. Therefore, each time the token needs to be refreshed, it must be manually updated in the Headers field.This is for the field type, External Lookup, and currently our token refreshes about every 20 minutes due to security but also results in errors.   Is there a way to avoid this and have this somehow set up using Adobe Fusion? 

Hello all.  Does anyone know the syntax of the fulltext search in the Fusion execution history?  I can search for an object ID by putting double quotes around it but nothing else seems to work.  For example, searching for hyphenated words or multiple words doesn't return anything or just unconnected records.  Any help would be very useful.  Thanks v much

Has any seen a change in their OAuth modules and the client token not being passed correctly? We have several scenarios that use an OAuth module to connect with the Go To Webinar service. In these scenarios, we added the client token generated by GTW as part of the authorisation process. However, at some point on Thurs 28th 2024 there was a problem with the client token and the scenarios stopped working. After some manipulation, we were able to reauthorise the connection and pull out the newly generated client token (this information is usually all hidden in the Fusion module.) When we tried with the new client token we found that this information was not being passed up to GTW correctly. Instead we had too manually add this info into the Header as the following:Name: AuthorizationValue: Bearer xxxxxxxx (client token) While this worked intially, it quickly stopped working again with 404 errors.We found that the token expired after 1 hour (3600 seconds) and had

I'm using a Custom API Call to add issues to Workfront. I'm looking for a simple way to escape unwanted characters. e.g. Double Quotes, tab characters, new line, etc etc. There is the replace function, but nested replaces are getting quite tricky and it doesn't seem to work well in the UI etc.Any advice would help?Rob

Hello My struggle is that I have an array from querying Workfront's "Read a Record" module. As shown in the screenshot, the output contains a tasks array (1-9):  What I wanted to do is: If the task name of an item (in the array) equals "ABC", do this;Otherwise, do that How best to do this kind of filtering condition to an array in Fusion? Please could someone shed some lights on this? Thanks!

Does anyone else use Fusion to export a data file to a cloud location? We have Fusion going from Fusion Create CSV > Replace file on SharePoint location (which then) > PowerBI references replaced file on SharePoint > Refreshes report I'm trying to troubleshoot how/why a scenario will run - but the file will not show as replaced on the cloud location. 

Hello,  I am attempting to use a data store to setup an easy to see log of all executions that have run for a scenario to make error handling easier than using the run history. Does anyone know if there is a way to pull the Run ID as the key in a data store? In my instance I am looking at projects so my data store would likely include Run ID as the key, Project ID, Run Date. This would allow me to tie our Project ID from workfront to the Run IDs in a more searchable format for error handling. Hopefully that makes sense please let me know if that is not enough information.  Thank you!

Hello,I am attempting to utilize a checkbox field on a custom form (on a project) to automate the removal of the unselected options. Each option in the checkbox field matches a parent task being used for the incoming project so a 1-1 relationship does exist there.For example. Checkbox Field Options: 1,2,3,4,5 Template Tasks: 1,2,3,4,5If the incoming project has 1,3 and 5 selected then task 2 and 4 would be removed. I am trying to first get a record of each parent task in the project but don't see an option for listing out a projects tasks. If it is worth nothing, each of the tasks I will be deleting is a parent task. Thanks in advance!-Eric

In my screenshot below I'm just using dummy data to get the request working successfully. The error its giving currently is "The operation failed with an error. [422] allocationDate cannot be null".

I have a situation where a scenario is getting triggered twice whenever the "assignments" field is updated. The first module is "Watch Events" with record type "Assignment". Every time I add 1 or more assignment, the scenario triggers twice for each assignment.I've noticed that the "Exclude events made by this connection" checkbox is not present for the "Assignment" record type. Could someone verify if this is the cause of the issue? or a share potential solution please?

How do I recalculate a project timeline and custom expressions in Fusion on projects?   I want to search for all projects set as a specific status that equals Planning and recalculate their timelines daily to see if they need to be pushed out if there is a cross project predecessor.  I also need to update custom expressions if a certain field is updated on a project automatically in Fusion.  I can't see where to add that on.  Is this correct?  

Running into issues in connecting Workfront Fusion with AEM Assets module. The mapping between the tech account created with the values asked when creating connection in Workfront is not provided in any appropriate article. It would be ideal for Adobe to incorporate the information in the articles where the settings are described

Has anyone incorporated vendor selection into projects in WF? I would love to see a tab for Vendor Selection where you can capture all the vetting you did for the project. I am wondering if scorecards would suffice but seems like it won't offer enough flexibility for the process. I would love to hear any ideas or solutions you all have come up with. 

 I'm doing an API call of Hours data and I'm not sure how to filter a certain date range in the queue string.  Does anyone know how I would filter that? I want Hours logged this year or at least Hour Entry Date greater than Jan 1 2024. 

I am working on configuring module in Fusion -"Watch a record", want to add & use optional filter for filtering only specific records meeting the criteria using API query. Tried adding API query but receiving error - "The operation failed with an error. [422] APIModel V17_0 does not support field property (Task)".Want to check what API Query format is acceptable or should we use for this module, will appreciate any example sharing.    

I am trying to have Fusion auto assign the Project Owner to tasks (we tagged them with role of Project Manager) by using the Project Owner ID for that project. I have set up Search and Update modules for Tasks, but am not seeing a way for Fusion to pull in the Project Owner ID to assign. For example, on another automation I have set up I can pull the Project Owner ID without assigning the actual person. Does anyone know if this is possible? I am stumped. Thanks!
