Workfront Fusion

Howdy folks! 🤠   The Scale Team (me, Leslie and Nichole) are hosting a Customer Panel event on the Benefits & Best Practices with Fusion on September 13th the week of September 25th. I'm new to creating scenarios and was wondering if I were to create a dropdown field called "Portfolio" on a custom form for requests, is there a way to link that field directly to the Portfolio list in the system through Fusion? I'm trying to avoid having to update the custom field every time we create a new Portfolio.  

Hey hey... I am trying to build a scenario where an owner is sent an email alerting them that the task dates have changed due to a time off entry. We can see the system alert when the time is already entered, but if a task is already planned and an entry is made, sometimes the date shift goes unnoticed. Scenario setup:I am watching updated tasks to see if the new state dates match the old state dates. If they do not, it passes. From there I am grabbing more task data, owner and assignee data. I then have a filter to see if the assignee's time off entries are within the range of the task start and end dates. This only seems to kind of work. I still get some tasks that pull through even though the dates have not been modified or the same tasks flow through multiple times. I may be overcomplicating this one. Anybody have a good solution to alert the project owner when a task date was changed by someone other than owner?? It seems like there should be an out of box notification for th

Is there an easy way to remove a custom form from a Project?There doesn't seem to be a MISC action to do this.  The only way I can find to do this is to do a PUT on the PROJ object and basically pass in the existing objectCategories collection (minus) the object ID of the custom form that I want to remove.  There's got to be a better way, right?

Hello, I have a Fusion scenario that is initialised with a webhook from a webpage.The webhook makes a GET API request and brings back various information (in this case information about emails created within Oracle Eloqua.)I have a final module "Transform to JSON" as a final step that outputs JSON data.What I want to know is if there is a way to feed this data back into a webage?If I were to write JS code for this I would want to make the innerHTML of a specified div this JSON output.  Can't see a way to do this in Fusion though.Any help is appreciated.Thanks JSON data output at the end of my scenario I want the output to be dumped onto the page in the div shown (or into the console or basically accessible from anywhere on the page) 

So, like many of you, I find myself as a second/third career Workfront admin. I worked in magazine publishing until I was let go due to magazine publishing dying. My introduction to Workfront was a "happy accident"--one which has been literally life-changing. Learning Fusion has been rewarding and a lot of fun. There's still quite a bit I feel I need to learn (Hi training folks, Fusion Bootcamp Part 2 pls). But a least I can think through a problem and come up with a solution. My job primarily revolves around Fusion and developing automated augmentations for workflows within Workfront. We're also starting to want to do more integrative work. And this is where I find a hole in my knowledge. When it comes API stuff though (and how it relates to Fusion)...I need help.  I'd love some suggestions--particularly from other second-career Fusion admins--for courses/websites/etc. which may be helpful with this stuff. Hi Everyone! We are working on a scenario that will show us issues that were submitted with a custom form field that has a length greater or less than 8 and/or contain letters. We have the first part done, but we can't find a way to find ones that contain letters. We thought of implementing a regular expression to find them but we can't find a module that allows that.Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated

Is the "Other Groups" in a user profile the same as "User Groups" obtained in the search module below? The image below shows my account info like name, home group ID, and user groups. Initially, I assumed these were group IDs, but upon cross-checking the IDs in the setup >> groups section, I couldn't find any of them. They are invalid group IDs. Am I missing something?

Does fusion have single sign on option?

I have a scenario that deactivated and now it has 110 records in the queue. It seems to be only processing new records that come in. How do I get it to run the records in the queue?

I need to upload documents into an AEM linked folder.I have uploaded them with Fusion, but can't see the files (but the document number count tells me they are there).I think that I need to use the Misc. module for the 'Project' object and select the action of 'linkExternalObject', but not sure what to put in those arguments.Any samples would be greatly appreciated!

I am trying to add newly created groups to the 'Other Groups' field in the user profiles for 350+ users. I have not been able to find the correct API call or Workfront module to do this. Hello, I am trying to convert a string to a date using the parseDate() function. As it is possible that the incoming string is not a parseable date, I would like to prevent into getting an error. Is there any easy possibility to validate a string as being a valid date before parsing? Thanks in advance.RegardsLars

Hi all! I have been tasked to migrate data from a platform that does not integrate with Workfront. I have imported my data into a JSON file however, I'm having issues with parsing the data in Fusion. Has anyone seen this, know of a solution, or work-around, or provide any guidance? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Team, I am uploading documents back in Workfront from a third party system through fusion. My goal is to mark the project complete after all the documents are uploaded. The problem I face is once the first document is uploaded, it gets to the next 'update record' module (that changes the status to complete) and not letting other documents to upload. To avoid this, I am taking an error handler route -i.e change the status to planning - upload document and again marking it complete. Its working well, but I feel something is off here. Please help if any other fix is available.      

I'll do my best to describe what the workflow would look like.  Scenerio 1 - A request will be submitted via WF and be converted to a task. From there I would like to create embedded requests within that newly created task if specific fields are NOT blank and map just the fields associated with those specific fields. So I might have up to 5 embedded requests mapping approx. 8 fields to each and leaving approx. 9 blank fields to be populated later. Scenario 2 - would be the same but coming via a web hook. Currently this is set up to come in as a request in WF. I expect it would be the same flow as Scenario 1 just coming in via the web hook. In both Scenarios the information for all of the embedded requests would be exported to cross reference and add content for those 9 blank fields via an outside source (Excel) and then be imported back into WF via Fusion to populate fields on the embedded request form that had not been previously mapped. I hope this explains e

Hi Everyone, I am feeding languages info from Workfront custom form to an external application through JSON module. Source Module: Highlighted languages array.I've created a set variable to fetch the Translate to: And using the above variable in JSON module. If I have three languages, I've to give like below The about output works fine (and my third party application is accepting this as input), but I will NOT know how many languages will come as output in my previous module, so I want this language count to be auto set as per the number of outputs from my source module.  So In JSON module, If I give the object like below, Then I am getting the below output which my third party application is NOT accepting as input. The input my third party application accept is,Please help on how I can capture the dynamic languages count and its values to get the desired output.  

Hi Fusion Community,Soooo, I accidentally mass deleted a bunch of reports from production.Since there's no way to simply recover them from the Recycle Bin, I would have to go into my sandbox, find out the details of said reports, and manually re-create them. I do have Fusion, and wondering if there's a way to copy a slew of reports from sandbox over to production so I don't have to manually re-create them?  Any ideas?Thanks,Nick

I attempted to add an additional field mapping to an existing functioning scenario. Hi Community, I need assistance, if you have overcome the error "Failed to load data! Does anyone know if it is possible to schedule scenarios themselves to be active/inactive? For example, my team has several scenarios that we just need to run once per week on a Monday morning and only one run in total of the scenario.I know that it is possible to set the scenario as active and schedule it for Monday morning, but we have multiple scenarios of this type and end up paying a lot of money to have these always-active scenarios that are only used for a single minute per week. Just wondering if anyone has found any solutions for this, other than purchasing loads of scenarios for a minor amount of use per week, or else manually switching them on and off when they are needed (which kind of defeats the whole purpose!) Thanks 

Hi Fusion Community,I was given a list of report ID's that need to be deleted - 658 of them to be precise.  I went to delete these using a Delete module, but the report object is not an option to choose from.   Since someone poured over this list to manually determine which ones can be deleted, there's no simple filtering I can do on the front end of a WF report list in order to do the bulk delete there.Does anyone have any ideas with regard to Fusion?Thanks,Nick
