Adobe Experience Manager Assets

 I filter for specific files and I wish to batch edit one field.  If the selected assets are located in different folders, the schema displayed is the OOTB basic schema.  All files selected use the same custom schema.  Is they a solution to be able to batch edit across folders maintaining the custom schema we use for all assets? Thank you.Jim P

Hello, We are planning to transition to Adobe Assets on Adobe Cloud and would like to clarify a couple of points:1.Is Content Hub included as part of Adobe Assets, or does it require a separate license?2.Can assets be shared externally with users outside our firewall? Currently, we use Brandfolder, which allows external users to download assets. Is a similar external sharing experience possible with Content Hub or Adobe Assets?3.Are there any recommended workarounds or solutions within Adobe Assets to enable external asset sharing possibly with UI where assets are organized and can be downloaded? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Has anyone attempted to add 1,000+ Tags to a single Namespace within the Tagging Taxonomy? I have been told by Support that while there is not a technical limit, with more data we may see slower load times or less responsive UI components because of the extra data being processed. Looking to see if anyone has successfully loaded a large set of Tags in AEM and not had any issues. Note: We are working in AEM as a Cloud Service.

We have a relatively large DAM, and we want to unpublish assets as soon as they expire. Is there any OOTB functionality for this? Or if not, what would be the best approach? My first guess is creating a workflow, but not sure what the trigger would be.Appreciate any help, thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm trying to download a large asset (around 40GB) from Adobe Experience Cloud. However, after downloading approximately 1GB, the process fails with a "connection lost" error — even though my internet connection remains stable and uninterrupted. I’ve tested this on both Safari and Chrome, and the issue persists in both browsers.I also tried using download managers (such as IDM and Free Download Manager), but they either fail to capture the link properly or still encounter the same interruption.Is there a recommended method for downloading large files from Adobe Experience Cloud?Would using a desktop application like Adobe Bridge help in this situation?Alternatively, is it possible to split the asset into smaller parts for easier download?I'd really appreciate any insights or suggestions from those who’ve experienced a similar issue.Thanks in advance!

Our company is using AEM and it works great for Photoshop and InDesign, and great for storing assets for Illustrator, but if the illustrator file has links in it, I haven't figured out an easy way to link those assets. Before AEM, we had a server where all assets lived and links would not break if someone else opened your doc to edit it because we were all connected to that server. But with AEM, the links do not stay linked once you put the doc and the associated links on the DAM (we file linked assets in different "folders" than the actual illustrator/InDesign project docs). The only way I know to relink is this process, which is very convoluted and time consuming: Open the illustrator file that the co-worker createdWrite down the names of all the files that come up missing (because they all will if they have not been previously linked)Connect with the DAM desktop app (server)Go find asset #1 in the online DamGo back to your illustrator fileClick on asset #1Navigate to the folder

Content fragments located in assets folder (/content/dam/) doesn't sort when Created is selected. Is it possible to sort all the content fragments in AEM Cloud? I tried to test it via on-premise, sorting works as expected

Is there a way to choose the specific renditions youd like ot download in AEM Assets. You can do it in Brand Portal (See attached screenshot) but I haven't been able to find a way to do it in Assets. You can only choose to download ALL renditions (See other attached screenshot). I'd like our users to be able to choose the specific renditions they'd like to download. Taking this question further, is there a way to select specific renditions when linking to assets via Asset Link? That would be extremely helpful as well.

Hi,I am looking for a minor customization of content automation add on creative operations, where I can leverage AEM workflow to read a CSV file(mapping of image and text to apply on top of PSD layers) and pass the values from the file to Asset Processing Profiles as parameters through API and apply the profile to an asset folder to create asset renditions from a PSD file.  Reference : https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-learn/assets/content-automation/creative-operations Can any one help me with any pointers? Thanks!

I want to edit an image directly within the AEM editor by selecting a portion of the image and adding elements like borders and polygons. I prefer not to use a different application for these edits and would like to know how to apply them directly in AEM. And save once borders are added. We have been using the admin view for a few years now in our organization and we're looking at migrating over to using the assets view for the bulk of our users.  I'm trying to configure the assets view with our search filters and metadata however i'm not seeing any of our custom metadata fields we've created in code in the metadata forms in assets view.  Is there a special way i need to make my custom metadata available in assets view?

Hi! I need to take over the administration of an AEM instance and I'm trying to understand how the permissions and groups have been configured.There are a lot of groups on AEM and I would like to know which group belongs to. It's easy to find the members of a group, but how can I find the upper level (the "parent" of a group)? Thanks!

I have an use case of finding references of assets (images, pdfs, videos) in bulk across site. Each folder contains 2500+ assets.

Our master data is in english, but when user switches the language preference to lets say Chinese or Japanese, user should be able to view the metadata in preferred language. What could be the best way to translate Asset Metadata Schema dropdown values? We see this happening for Language field and IPTC Scene code in the schema.

Hi everyone,we're migrating to AssetsCS and Dynamic Media with OpenAPI. Currently, when updating assets (e.g., due to product changes), we first modify the asset files, update the content, and then publish everything together.From my understanding, with the new Dynamic Media with OpenAPI, updates are reflected in real-time in the delivery URLs. This creates a timing challenge, especially when handling potentially hundreds of updated assets and pages.Is there any OOTB Adobe functionality or workaround to address this issue?Thanks a lot!
