Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Dear AEM forum,Our organization is trying to evaluate the feasibility of using "AEM Forms" as our development tool for an internal project. Is there any way that I can do to minimize the cost of evaluation? For example, is there any "developer version" of AEM Forms that we can somehow download for a trial?Thanks in advance for your help!Michael

Hey All,I am working on AEM workflow where in I am sending a payload for approval from different groups. The first three approvals are compulsory but after it the workflow should check if one of the field in the forms submitted is greater than a particular amount, if yes than only it proceeds to the next approval otherwise it completes the task. How to create such a condition? How to extract a value from the adaptive form submitted for approval?

Hey all,So in my AEM project I have adaptive forms in publish mode such that the user fill them up and on submitting a workflow is triggered with takes the approval of different groups step by step. What I want is to make such different groups each having different accesses and functionalities. Right now I am using admin for all the approvals. Can someone tell me how to go about it?

Is this a supported connection mode in AEM forms: Java API (EJB) - Uses the LiveCycle strongly-typed API and the connection mode is set to EJB.Seems to be old information? I'm working on a custom component that I will instantiate as an activity of one of our AEM Form processes. I want to test it as thourouloy as possible before I add it to the AEM forms process. My problem is that I get this error while testing. It comes when I try to run the last result.passivate() command. Is the AEM API supposed to connect to a running AEM forms instance when I test this? If so, where is that configured on my local PC? Hey all,On installing the AEM-FORMS-6.3-WIN-4.0.74 package, AEMFD Signatures Bundle is  not getting activated it is in the resolved state. I have already tried including the sling properties given in this link AEM 6.0 Forms Help | Configuring Document Services + I have tried reinstalling the form package too + I even took the AEM instance from my colleague in which the Signature Bundle is activated but still its coming resolved on my laptop . This issue is coming for both the publish and author instance due to which on submitting the Adaptive forms (which is supposed to begin a workflow) I am getting Could not initialize class com.rsa.cryptoj.o.dl error. Please suggest if something else can be tried.

We're looking for migrating thousands of Central Output Server family forms/templates to AEM forms/templates. We are trying AEM designer import function to import Central forms. Its helping us with conversion but its not doing it perfectly right, means not 100% correct. By import, we're achieving near about 80%. We need to manually match it to its perfectness. Its taking long time to do it manually hence we're looking for some automations script. So queries areIs it possible to achieve 100% correct conversion using AEM import? if not what are the reasons? If yes, any suggestions/tricks.Can we write any automation script/program using any language? I mean will it be possible or are there any constraints with AEM & Central?Kindly help.Thanks in advance

Hi, I have AEM Forms set up as a cluster on Windows Server 2012 R2 servers with SQL Server 2012 for repository. We recently tried to upgrade the version of Java to the latest security update JDK 8u131. This caused AEM Forms to stop working and we could not resolve the errors. We ended up having to roll back to jdk1.8.0_112 to get it to work again. Is there a patch for AEM Forms to get support for the latest update of Java?

I am trying to use the Java API to deploy application and components with AEM Forms 6.1 but the code that we used previously doesn't seem to be compatible anymore. Hi all,I was just wondering if it's possible to restrict specific component/page properties from specific user groups? For example, we'd have payment gateway details on either our page properties or down to the component level, but since the payment gateway information is sensitive data, we only want specific users to update/read these properties.Thanks!-Danny

I created a editable template in AEM 6.3 everything is fine but when I am going to layout I am not able to move the components. And If I am creating my template within weRetail it's working fine.Can anyone help me for this?

We have a client that only requires PDFs to be batch generated, so we have no need for the JEE OSGi Capabilities (i.e. Content Repository). I read somewhere (can't find it again) that the installer requires an OSGi service to become available before it can continue with bootstrapping the database during the Configuration Manager steps. We are currently facing installer issues during Config Manager and are trying to figure out why.Is it possible to install the AEM Forms 6.3 JBoss Windows JEE server without the OSGi Capabilities?

I have build an adaptive form, I have the DoR for the form, now I want to associate form template as a DoR template but when clicking on the raido button "associate forms template with the DoR template", my DoR that's on the crx does not appear, instead it brings other DoR template such as Geometrixx finance DoRs. How do I make it appear as one of the options to select from?

I started the AEM author instance by the start.bat ( crx-quickstart > bin > start.bat ), there the server is showing the startup complete but when i am hitting on link localhost:4502 it is showing connection refused ??

Hello, I was trying to understand what would constitute a good minimum criteria set which can help determine when to opt for Forms? - specifically about Forms OSGI and not JEE (which I understand is a BPM which was formerly LC).We often get asked as to why it wouldn't just be prudent to design forms the old fashioned way using just HTML, javascript, etc.If there are only a few forms to design with just the standard set of controls which just passes on info to the backend does it make sense to go ahead and invest in forms?Just looking for pointers using which you can say - yep this is a job for forms! : )Thanks.

Hello, Does LiveCycle or Forms JEE have any analytics support? In the sense that, is it possible to embed analytics tags in the xfa / pdf forms while designing them in the Designer? Or is it not a valid use case?Thanks.

Hello,We are trying to terminate long running workflow steps. When selecting 'Terminate' from the workflow "/libs/cq/workflow/content/console.html" page the request hangs as pending until the current workflow step is completed. Is this normal behavior? Is there a way to terminate a workflow while a long workflow step is running? Thanks,

Hi,I receive this message when I am working in LiveCycle Designer ES3 and I go to the "Preview PDF" section.  I also receive it when I close LiveCycle and open my form in Adobe Reader.  I click "OK" to close the error pop-up box, but it just keeps popping up and I am unable to do anything.I am running Windows XP and I have Adobe Reader X.   Thank you.As an aside, I had to upgrade from ES2 to ES3 and subsequently lost much compatibility in my form creation.  Now I have to re-create my forms from scratch.  Good job, Adobe.  Thank you for fixing something that wasn't broken.

What configuration values need to provide for a Correspondence letter post processing to an AEM Workflow (not LC Workflow). UI gives options of 1. Data File Path 2.Attachment Path 3. Layout Path 4. How do you assign to a variable of type list<XML>? The only information I find on lists is how to access the data. Some examples would be nice. :-)

we have few Livecycle workbench processes which uses fileutils service to read XDP file from a LAN location.But now we are trying to get rid of that LAN location and upload the xdp's to the workbench application.So is there a way I can read those XDP's from the workbench application folders dynamically based on the form number given as input.Which activities can I use to pick up the correct XDPs and what kind of variables can be used for those activities. Please help with this.
