Hi,I am creating Adaptive Form Templates, using Template Editor.Please suggest how to apply styles.I do see a setting "CSS File". But how to make a specific CSS file available to it?Should we store it in a specific path in JCR and mention its full path?If I cant succeed in applying styles, I have to resort to manual way of creating templates, not using Template Editor.Appreciate your support.Thanks,Rama.

We are looking more closely at form action types and we're finding little to no documentation on these.  For example, we want to quickly create a Campaign newsletter subscription form without coding.  This should be action type = Create Lead.  The action attributes requires a manual id be entered I assume.  This should be populated by a list of lead lists at minimum.  No documentation exists to tell us how to setup the fields in the form.  If there is docs, can someone point us to them.  If not, can we get a config for Create Lists actions on this?

Hi all,In AEM Forms Template Editor, we see some components populated in the Components button on the left pane.How are they populated?Also, when we filter, we could see some "Adaptive Form Components". How and where are these created?If I create a normal AEM component, will it be visible? I don't think so.We have to drag and drop some of our custom components on to the AEM Forms Template Editor.Kindly guide me to a tutorial on this.Thanks,Rama.

Hi all,Why do we need to use Forms Designer Tool for creating AEM Forms?In my project how to know whether to use it or not?My understanding is that if we need to create pixel perfect PDF file in the end from AEM Forms, we use it.Are there any other factors affecting this decision?Is it possible to create PDF files without creating XDP files using Designer?Appreciate your support.Thanks,Rama.

I'm trying to code a button that will check several mandatory fields and individually highlight them in red if they aren't completed. I do not want to use a submit button. I am using Acrobat Pro 9 with LiveCycle. I have created an interactive form and did not include a button to e-mail the form. When the distributed form is opened, there is a purple bar across the top with instructions to click "Submit Form" and  "Highlight Fields" and "Submit Form" buttons. I do not want this form e-mailed back to me. It just needs to be saved by the user and uploaded at a later time. Saving it after the user fills in the fields is not the issue. That is working fine. But the user may be confused by a button saying they should submit the form. Plus it is my e-mail address in the field and I don't want all these forms showing up in my e-mail box. This happens whether I choose to distribute it with "Automatically download..." or "Manually collect..."Does anyone know what can be done to prevent the form from displaying the "Submit Form" button?Also, one user did get get a warning when saving about that not being the optimal way to send the data. We have a requirement to do the below in AEM from a AS400 Spool File(Printer File - containing documents related to all policies issued in a day. ~600 policies comprising ~5000 pages of document) in PDF format. Hi,All my forms have the same Header and Footer and don't want form authors to author these on all forms.I, Just like in AEM,  want to create a template with iParsys (for Header), Parsys (for Body) and iParsys (for Footer).In the JCR /Content/Project-Name folder, at the root level, I will configure Header and Footer once and want all child pages inherit the Header and Footer.Want to create such a Forms template.Kindly show me a tutorial in this direction.Appreciate your help.Thanks,Rama.

Hi , I'm trying to use html5 attributes readonly , disabled on a extended guidetext field component on AEM forms 6.1. In Edit mode attributes are set correctly but in preview mode these attributes are automatically being removed from the mark-up . Any filters that i need to manage to respect these attributes ? In show/hide rule editor we can set a field to disabled but as per our uX requirements we have different use cases to make a field readonly and disabled . Any Pointers ?

Hi  ,  I'm trying to resolve a use case , where i need to apply date range validations and also provide options for date offsets ex : currentDate+20 ..The current OOTB date picker component do not provide such configurations , though native html 5 date has min and max date range attributes to support .   I'm currently considering an approach to extend current dateTime xfa widget  and in render method hook jqueryUI date picker . But with this approach iIm not sure how to actually show error message to end user on validation  . Are there any standard methods like render that can be overidden in the widget to show custom error messages ? If not any other easy approached to handle this use case ? 

USECASE:I had a form and it needs to automatically save its data after a given interval of time and retrieve it when user refresh the page. For that, I use `autosave` functionality of AEM Forms.What I had done till nowAccording to Adobe doc: I had created a formEnable autosave option in form containerSpecify 1 or TRUE in Adaptive Form EventEnable Autosave for anonymous users. For that, changed configuration in  felix  console, edit  Forms Common Configuration Service to All UsersSave these settingsThe form is data and metadata is saved in /content/forms/fp/admin/drafts hierarchy.Two nodes in drafts describes:data : it has data in xml format.metadata : it has metadata associated with the node.Problemwhen I refresh the page, the from is not retrieving the saved value. Do I had missed something?Any suggestions are welcome.Thank you.  

Hi.We've been using adaptive forms on AEM 6.1.As an author, is it possible to turn a field into mandatory only when its visibility and access expressions (on the script tab) evaluate both to true?Or should I always write a validation expression in order to do that, repeating the visibility and access expressions?As a developer, how can I make this easier for our website authors?Thanks!Regards,Daniel.

My co-worker is trying to overlay the OOTB adaptive form components found under the libs folder. The only way he could make it work is by copying the entire component substack. This leads us to believe that overlays only work for foundation components. Please advise if this is the case. Example below for Adaptive form components (Overlay method):

Hi all,Using AEM 6.2 I am trying to translate my adaptive form to french. We have translators to do the actual translation. What I'd like to know is how to add custom clientlib script files to an adaptive form. Do I have to override the page component or can I just set the configuration to add the reference to the library when the page is built?

I am trying to build a custom AEM 6.1 form template with the standard fields our company uses. To that end I want to pre-fill the country, state, and province drop down on the template or even the page component. I saw the article on creating a pre-filled drop down (https://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/aem/6-1/develop/components/developing-forms.html#Preloading%20Form%20Fields%20with%20Multiple%20Values) but what I cannot figure out is how to call or assign the property of the Items Load Path field in CRXDE lite on the template?Someone has to have encountered this and solved it before? Suggestions?

I'm trying to set up a form so that a text field will populate with default text (that could later be edited by the end user) based on a users previous drop-down selection. For example:The end user is putting together a proposal for a client and is able to choose the type of proposal or service from a drop-down list. Once the user makes a selection from the drop-down list a text field is populated with default text describing the service. The only catch is that the end user would need to be able to edit the default text. An example would be if an individual purchased a car but all the specific features and/or accessories could be added into the default text as necessary based on the purchasers desired upgrades. The common or universal features of the car would, however, show up as the default text.Would this scenario be possible through the use of XML? Any tips on how I can accomplish this would be much appreciated.
