Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Is there a way to validate a 'date' field so it displays a date as: Tuesday, July 5th 2016 instead of 7/5/2016? Even if the 'day name' is abbreviated (Tue instead of Tuesday) is fine. I can't seem to find out how to format this way. Also, most of the date formats also have a time value associated with them. I don't want/need the time in this field.

I am creating a form that requires City, State and Zip.  I need to make sure that users do not put City, State and Zip into the City field; which someone so nicely pointed out to me as a problem with the form.  Anyway, what I am looking for is a way to force the user to only be able to enter alpha characters into the City text field.  I had glanced at the "Validation Patterns" OOTB functionality but I could not find anything listed that would complete the requirement.Thank you,

I want users to accept my 'Terms & Conditions' statement on an application form before they are allowed to submit it by the e-mail button.I want to place a required check box which produces an error message and prevents form submission until it is checked.I have read hordes of the postings but none of the solutions seem to do quite what I want.Any advice would be gratefully received

Need to know how the pattern should be for validating email field in AEM Adaptive form. We have used textbox component and tried with differenrt regex patterns. But none works.The OOB Email-alphanumeric pattern type with pattern text{OOOOOOOO'@example.com'} doesn't work properly. Please help.

Hi I m new to AEM forms, Please can you tell me how to create a basic form with two fields and a validate button. Requirnment : Validate button will check whether both fields left blank by using javascript. 

We have a lot of XFA forms with complex Javascript code. We used to use the Javascript Console Window (Ctrl-J) to debug the code. Now, under HTML5, I am unable to view the console window, and I cannot debug the code and find out what are the errors and exceptions.Appreciate your feedback to let us know how to view the console window (Ctrl-J) under HTML5 preview mode, and if this is not possible, then how to troubleshoot Javascript code?Tarek

I found out that under HTML5 forms I can write Javascript code that can access the entire document model and any code that would normally run in a browser, it would run under HTML5 element events.For example see snapshots below below. I have a need where a form needs to be signed by multiple users (dynamic). Is there a way I could create a workflow dynamically with multiple steps in parallel? Sorry I just started looking into AEM about a week ago and is there a way the same signed form be saved and presented at the last saved state, to subsequent users to sign/approve? I would greatly appreciate if you could walk me thru with detailed steps in AEM.Thanks and appreciate your time.

Hello,I have recently installed and configured AEM Forms 6.2 on JEE on a 2012 VM using the Turnkey solution, and have installed Workbench and Forms Designer on a separate 2008 VM. Through Workbench, I have successfully configured the connection to the Forms server and logged in. I have set up a TestForm, and when I open it in Workbench it launches the Forms Designer as expected. After adding a couple of fields to the form, I can preview in PDF and it renders properly. However, when I attempt to preview as HTML the screen is blank. When I view source  all that displays is the blank page:  <html><head></head><body></body></html>. Has anyone experienced this issue? On the Forms Server admin console, I have added IP of the 2008 server Workbench and Designer have been installed on to the Allowed Referrer whitelist and specified port value 0 to allow all ports. Hello guys, i have a little bit of a issue generating a PDF based on my form, i set up th parameters, whene i trigger the submition i have an error :XDP Reference is incorrect or not present can you guys help me with this. thx . 

I am generating a form in ES4 and it is editable in adobe acrobat. When i generate the same form in AEM it is no longer editable. Why Anyone know why? Is there a property on the ofrm that needs to be set? When opening the form in acrobat, it says the form needs to be opened in Livecycle designer to be edited.

We recently began using Adobe LiveCycle and Adobe Experience Manager. We're not using AEM for our web site, however. We're just wanting to use the Forms Portal portion of it to allow us to organize our forms, tag them, etc, then provide a searchable interface.We have several hundred pre-AEM/LiveCycle PDF forms. Rather than manually uploading one PDF file at a time, we would like to do a bulk upload into the repository.If I remember correctly, I saw someone do this using CRXDE Lite, navigating to /content/dam/formsanddocuments, then dragging the documents in. However, when I try that, it just opens up Acrobat Reader to display the PDF.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,I have a form with multiple child panels like -MainPanelName, MaritalStatus and ProvinceChildPanel_one (Only visible if MaritalStatus is true in MainPanel)Spouse Name, Spouse DOB, Spouse Salary I have set a validation expression for ChildPanel fields. My problem is, even if the ChildPanel is not visible- AEM form validates the  childPanel fields and gives me the validation error.Right now to avoid this, for every child panel field I have to set validationDisable=true in initialization expression and make it false when MartialStatus is true (Value commit script).  This is becoming a pain since I have so many fields and so many child panels (Child panels inside child panels as well). Any help ??

Hi I've implemented a custom AEM forms component. The implementation uses guideBridge and jQuery. I've built an own clientlib for jQuery that is loaded by the page (not the component) template. Now I wonder, when during page load in the browser both frameworks are ready to be used?When I use the idiom:window.addEventListener("bridgeInitializeStart", function(evnt) { var gb = evnt.detail.guideBridge; gb.connect(function (){ // intialization of my custom component starts here }) })is it safe to use jQuery (or any other clientlib) within the gb.connect's callback function? Hi, I have an adaptive form which I am pre-filling with some data from the currently logged in user. I also have a bunch of drop downs distributed among some child panels of the form. These should show their default value "Please Select" when the form is initialised. In order to do that, I needed to add this value to the prefill.jsp so that the drop downs are pre-filled. But the drop downs are on child panels which are  dynamically hidden/shown and when I generate a default DoR it 'detects' the value "Please Select" and adds it and the entire child panel to the DoR.Is there a way to exclude them from the DoR when they are on a hidden panel and also have them show the default text?Any help is very appreciated. Hi.When using adaptive forms, will any form submission be "intercepted" by the corresponding publish instance?I thought post to external rest end point action would send data directly to an external REST end point, but after reading Writing custom Submit action for adaptive forms, I'm not sure anymore.Thanks in advance!Best regards,Daniel.

Hi, all.When I follow this guide, I end up with a dictionary created under /content/forms/af/myForm/jcr:content/assets.But, if I have a custom form template under /apps/myApp/fd/af/templates/myFormTemplate, how can I add a base dictionary to it instead of adding a different dictionary to every form created from this template?Is that possible?If it's not, what would be the most elegant solution for the problem of reusing the same dictionary entries between forms of a specific template?Thanks!Regards,Daniel.

Hi,I have an adaptive form in AEM 6.1. When you fill in form fields with the suggested auto-completes from Chrome, the input data is not recognized as value. Which also means, that validation is not triggered and you can't submit if there is a mandatory field. I've added a screenshot.Is this a know bug?Thanks,Alex

Is there a way to trim only the leading and trailing spaces from a field?  I have a Name field, which I later split so I can generate using just the first name, using the rawValue.split method.  This way I can generate an e-mail that says Dear John, instead of Dear John Smith by pulling from that field.  The problem I have encountered there is that sometimes the person typing the name leaves a leading space before the name, so the e-mail gets generated with no name (so it says "Dear ,".  Any help is greatly appreciated.
