Why does it don't work correctly? Does Formcalc cant handle 2 Statements? I have a PDF document made in Adobe Acrobat. There are text fields within the document where users can type a paragraph. Unfortunately the text fields are of fixed size, so when a user types in more text than the text field can accommodate, a scroll bar occurs instead of displaying all of the text. If I recreate the document in LiveCycle ES2, is there any way to make the text field dynamic so that when a user exceeds the text field size, the field increases in size and pushes all of the subsequent text downward to accommodate the expanding text field? And so that when we print said document, all of the inputted text shows?Any help would be tremendous. Thanks!

Good Morning,I have the following form designed in Adobe LiveCyle. Each of the score Sections In brown are set up as global references to fill in the matching score in tthe total Score section. I then have a Form Calc set up for total score to calculate the scores...   Total_Score.rawValue=Utilization.rawValue+Reward.rawValue+Risk.rawValue+Realization.rawValueMy problem comes when I try to set up an if/elseif statement for the grade. Here is what I currently have:I'll be honest with you that I have NO IDEA what I am doing. what i've done i've learned from Adobe videos. Could some one help me in making this work?

Good Afternoon,I am making a form where we report how much leave is being used. The leave will be reported in 15 minute increments. (Ex: fifteen minutes = .15; one-half hour = .30; 45 minutes = .45) I need to be able to add these up and have them keep this format of 15 minute increments. Also, I need the display to be a decimal instead of a colon, if possible. (Ex. 3.45 instead of 3:45).any advice is appreciated!!!Gene-O

Hi there!I'm working on a dynamic form (.pdf) and i need to somehow lock all fields (really lock all fields). I already managed to change all fields .access property to either readOnly/Protected. The problem is that if someone opens a form in Acrobat it is still possible to use menu item "clear form" and booom all the data is gone. I also know it would probably be possible to unlock all fields again using js console in Acrobat (while this is rather rare case and i don't care). I want to prevent the menu item "Clear form". Is there any way I can stop this feature and offer clearing form only in certain form state (and only using a button within a form which i will hide/disable in the final state using script?)My second questions is related to flattening - is it possible to flatten the form with javascript if a client use Reader and not Acrobat?Any other solution that could prevent changes to document would be helpful.Many thanks for your help,Regards,Bartosz

I created a form and In Acrobat Pro I save it like Reader Extended PDF --> Enable Additional Features. When I open form in Acrobat Reader in File menu that it has options SAVE and SAVE AS. What need to do to disable SAVE and SAVE AS option or hide these options in Acrobat Reader and don't allow users to save the form. The users should be allow only print the form. How it to do?

Hi all,I have a problem with the following pattern:num{ZZZ,ZZ9.99 S}When I'm using this pattern there should be a blank at the end of the number if it'spositive. But after the PDF generation there is no blank.I have positive and negative numbers below each other. If there isa negative after a positive the numbers are no longer in flush. => See attached Screenshot.Does anybody know how to fix that problem?P.S.:I use a decimal field => right-justified and the Live Cycle Designer 8.01

I want to add multiple master pages to my form (one in portrait, one in landscape).  I thought this would be easy.  I am pretty new to Livecycle but I thought using the pagination settings would be the way to do it.  Unfortunately the settings on the pagination pallet are always greyed out.  I've looked around on other discussions here and the answer seems to be to set the subforms to flowed.  I've done that to all the subforms on my first page (event the tables that didn't need it) and the pagination settings for the master pages are still greyed out.  Is there something I am missing here?

I have a number of fields that are for the entry of dollar amounts.  I'd like to be able to limit the number of digits, and permit users to enter the value with our without the dollar sign, and with or without commas.  I've tried a number of different edit and display pattern combinations but have yet to find one that permits what I imagine is a commonly desired behavior.  What am I missing?Thanks!

I have a Table which is being passed to my context in the ADOBE Form.  I need to be able to count the # of records in this table.  I don’t have to display the actual table in this case on the form, I just need the record count.  And, I need to do this using JavaScript and I don’t know anything about Java (although if FormCalc works I can use this as well).     My Tablename is Customer and on my form it is in the Hierarcy data.main.customerbody.customerline.  If I have to have this table data on the form then I can just put it on the form and make it invisiible.  I really only need to count the # of records though and return this # to a Text Field on the form.Does someone know how to do this and can you give me an example in either Java for FormCalc?  The more specfic you can be with the scripting example the better for this newbie.  thx!

Hello everyone,     Here is my little concern, i have a table, a pretty normal one. What i am trying to do is this :     I'd like to be able to hide a complete column based on data. How do you make a text field read only after it is saved and distibuted?LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2This JavaScript code on the exit event:textField1.access = "readOnly";This works after the user loses focus on the field, however after it is saved and distributed, that field is no longer "read-only".I need to have staff insert information into a text field and then distribute it out to customers, and those fields have to be protected.How do you do this?

I'm using Workbench ES2 (9.0) to build a process and am trying to use xpath to read a CDATA node from an XML variable. Can anyone tell me the best possible way to convert PDF files to XDP? I have 500 PDF forms that needs to be converted to XDP. Not sure if this really works out well but would like to give it a try otherwise we need to re-design the forms from scratch.I am aware that there is a PDFUtility that I can use but does that requrie any specific module to be bought?

I have created a form with 12 Columns and 23 fixed rows. In Row 1 of the table is a value, the remaining 22 rows allow the user to enter a number, what I would like to do is in the footer row be able to add up the numbers in the 22 columns and then multiple that by the value in Row 1 to give a total.Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,Hope someone can help me out I'll explain my scenario with a simplified example to keep things to-the-point: I have a Table with 1 Column and 2 Rows. The cell in Row1 is Text (NOT a Text Field) which contains a Floating Field. I have a button on my form that populates the Floating Field with a string. If the string value that is inserted into the Floating Field is very long, the text overflows outside the borders of the cell.It seems that the table row height does not adjust dynamically to changes to the length of the text within the cell.Any ideas?Thanks,

I have this script on the change event of a text field:if ((this.rawValue != "null") || (this.rawValue != "")){ checkBoxThree.presence = "visible";}else{ checkboxThree.presence = "hidden";}It is correctly displaying the checkBoxThree subform when data is entered in the text field. However, if the user goes back and deletes the text, I would like the subform to become hidden and it isn't. How should I change the script to accomplish this?Thanks,MDawn

Need Help!!!Creating forms in Adobe acrobat Pro I could format a number cell to calculate additions/subtractions of currency. If the result was negative I could get the cell to show the negative result in red text and show parentheses around them. How can I do that in LiveCycle?If i have to use formcalc - what would i type in?

HiI'm creating a PDF in LiveCycle, which has a decimal field with the display pattern 'num{zzz,zzz,zz9.99}'.  The idea is for users to enter a numerical value with a maximum of two decimal points (i.e. 1,234.01)Now I'm testing this form out to see whether it'll handle any incorrect user entries - especially the scenario where a user enters some string (letters) in this field by error. When I'm testing this scenario on Acrobat Pro, any text entries will be cleared out as soon the user tabs out of the field (which is exactly what I want it to do as it only should accept numerical values). However when testing this out in Adobe Reader (with Reader Extendability switched on), any text entries are replaced with a "0.00" when the user tabs out of the field.  Unfortunately this is not what I want .  Replacing an incorrect entry with a 0.00 is actually a misrepresentation, because 0.00 is a valid entry that the users should be allowed to enter if they want to (hope that last sen
