Adobe Experience Manager Forms

I have created a textfield which user entered optional. I am unable to save the entered value in my application. Any preferences or scripts or events needs to be written to save user entered fields

AEM Form 6.5 SP-12 On Prem, Document Manager version, AEM forms designerHi team,How large we can design xdp with all custom table structures?I have designed an XDP which is the size of over 10MB (400+ custom small, large tables using cell level sub-forms and good amount of java script written to handle tables.)The problem we are facing when I tried to compensate any changes (adding a cell (or) cell level data (or) any kind of data manipulations) it is crashing frequently.How can I resolve this authoring issue in designer.Using that xdp and output service by supplying xml want to generate the flat pdf.Please help me with your suggestions to rectify this.  thanks.

Hi everyone, Please confirm if we have followed the steps correctly for custom dita-ot integration. 1)We have extracted AEM DITA-OT package in our local from this path -  /libs/fmdita/dita_resources/DITA-OT.zip2)In the AEM DITA-OT -> bin, we used the below command to add the custom plugins.  dita -install <DITA-OT>.zip  we referred this blog ->https://www.tothenew.com/blog/integrating-and-using-the-custom-dita-ot-plugin/ 3)After adding custom plugins, we uploaded integrated DITA-OT zip file in apps/fmdita/dita_resources folder Kindly confirm if we have done the custom dita-ot integration in the right manner and suggest if we have missed anything.  

Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020.How can I add a button in a PDF file that will copy certain text and paste it back into a Word or other PDF document using Ctrl+V? Is this even possible?I tried it with the AI and shows me different javascrips, but they don't work in a button, or the text isn't inserted into word afterwards with Ctrl+V. Any suggestion for a solution is welcome 🙂 .

We have a a requirement from our client that they want field to have patterns such as email address/ social security etc  However, to do not want the validation to fire when the user tabs out of the field but rather when they click the link/button to go to the next section. Is there a property in the field components that provides this functionality?

I have created User Editable fields with text field object. When i preview in PDF mode, these are aligned properly. But these fields are overlapped with next static content when i preview with HTML mode.  What is the best approach to insert editable fields in between static content?

Hi, Iam trying to add one or more logic to a single field in a metadata schema form editor, i.e a particular field should get displayed only if Logic A and Logic B is satisified. Iam unable to select multiple rules , please suggest how to add multiple logic using "AND, OR operator" in metadata schema . Thanks!Smitha L

Hi,I have a cron job which executes curl command using java (ProcessBuilder class), but I'm getting Exit Code : 23 on running download command curl -u user_name:user_pwd https://<prod_url>/etc/packages/my_packages/myPackage.zip --output myPackage.zip FYI, I am trying to download the existed package(myPackage.zip) from PROD to DEV environment by running this command in DEV environment (We are using AEMaaCS environments). The same command will download the package from prod in my local server, but not in higher environments like DEV or STAGE.Any help would be helpfulThanks 

I would like to convert PDF ile to PDF/A. I gonna use the DocConverterServiceClient. Hi All, We are using AEM 6.5.14 with AEM forms add-on package(6.0.718). We are using plain forms Text Box and Numeric Box Component. We have added ootb validation for "max characters" and "max digits" in the text box and numeric box respectively. We are facing below weird issues in actual Mobile device (IOS +Andriod). In text Box,if i enter some text i am not able to delete it after entering the text.In numeric box it is not respecting the max digit validation i can add more than max digits as well. This is happening only on Actual Mobile devices.The functionality is working on Chrome Mobile Emulator for Devices,Desktop but breaking in all actual actual devices. We are using basic theme with no JS customization. Anybody faced the same issue before.

Hello, I'm trying to use the QR Code object.Currently I'm using a xml file to populate the document, but in the future will be used an API.The value for the QR Code is variable so different inputs will generate different QR Code size.My ideal goal would be to have all the QR Codes with 30mm x 30mm ( actual QR size, excluding the borders).If not possible the 30mm x 30mm is the minimum size for the QR.Any suggestions?

Hi, How to use the dispatch event in AEM forms rule editor?What are the possible event types it takes in as argument?Can some one help me with that? Using AEM forms 6.5.  I am looking to trigger the initialize event in one panel (PanelA) on the click on button in another panel (Panel B), without navigating to that panel A, or changing its visibility. Just need the initialize events scripts to be executed on panel A.  

Hello Experts, I have written a sling servlet (ResourceType) as per Adobe guidelines. And this is servlet is being exposed as a Rest API. Question is how to protect/ authenticate it on Publish instance: On Publish everyone has Read access and resourcetype is pointing to /content/ which has read access for everyone? @SlingServletResourceTypes(resourceTypes = "MyProject/components/page", methods = HttpConstants.METHOD_POST, selectors = "pdfService", extensions = "html") Should I move this resourcetype node to /etc and restrict access on Publish instance, pls guide how to handle resouretype servlet exposed as Rest API on Publish instance. thanks. 

This is only happening to the publisher. In author, it's perfect. Our CSE has installed SP13 and followed with form addon installation. But after that, forms on publishers are not render in full height. It's shrinking in the iFrame. Also, some of the form controls stopped working, such as checkbox is not checkable and captcha is not rendering.  I found a similar post here: https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager-forms/aem-form-not-rendering-in-iframe/m-p/300519#M2489Are we missing any addons? Is there a specific package we should look for? Is there any configuration missing on the publishers? 

In my organization, we have only the desktop AEM Forms solution to manage and maintain 1500+ statewide forms. We us a mix of formats that include both straight and curly (or smart/typographer's) quotes. How can we type/force curly quotes?

For example, I want to allow the submission of forms through AEM Dispatcher, I will configure to filter like this:/0261 { /type "allow" /method "POST" /path "/content/forms/af/[A-Za-z0-9-]*/[A-Za-z0-9-]*/jcr:content/guideContainer*" /extension '(jsp)'}  # allow POSTs to submit AEM Forms under content  It works, but the fragment /[A-Za-z0-9-]*/[A-Za-z0-9-]*/ means it can only have one folder, if I want to allow the submissions of forms in any deep folder, how can I configure?  

Hello, Could any one provide inputs how to customize code rule editor in AEM 6.5 adaptive form. Requirement:- 1>We have form config values mentioned in the FORM using code rule editor2>We don't want authors to change the data entered  , if they try to change any value mentioned in the form rules ,then it must show an error message to authors . Any code samples on this will be helpful. Thanks,Srinivas
