Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Hello Experts, I have written a sling resourcetype servlet which is pointing to - @SlingServletResourceTypes(resourceTypes = "MyProject/components/page", methods = HttpConstants.METHOD_POST, selectors = "pdfService", extensions = "html"). To make url simple and meaning full - i have created a mapping in /etc/map/http with internalRedirect with sling mapping something like this:/etc/MyProject/jcr:content with localhost.4503/aemforms/print and final URL with resoureType servlet is - http://localhost:4503/aemforms/print.pdfService.html. So far this works fine but when I try to access via dispatcher with URL - http://<dispatcherhost>/aemforms/print.pdfService.html. it does not work. And dispatcher.log at debug level do not have any info or error.  Pls note If I hit dispatcher without internalRedirect URL like - http://<dispatcherhost>/etc/MyProject/jcr:content.pdfService.html then it works. In dispatcher - /filter rules I have f

I have installed the turnkey AEM 6.5 JEE server on a Windows 10 Pro workstation to try some development.Is it possible to access this server via HTTP from another workstation?I would like to run Workspace and Workbench from another system. It is installed, up and running - accessible on the localHost machine by either 'localHost' or IP address.I currently have the Windows Firewall shut off while testing this, and the Windows box does serve a HTML file located in the inetpub\wwwroot folder to browsers on other machines successfully. Any help or insights are appreciated. Mark

Hi,we followed the instructions onhttps://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/forms/letters-correspondences/data-dictionary.html?lang=en#localize-data-dictionaryregarding how add localised values for data dictionary elements. We fully made it through the whole process nearly successfully. We added locale for French and English and we were able to test this: We downloaded again localisation data and it contains the additional languages in the proper format.But when it comes to the point: Change the browsers locale, we are failing. We removed every language except french, and played around with the different variances of fr_FR, fr only. None of them works, neither for French, nor for any combination of en_EN, en_US, en_GB and so on. So what is that trick to make use of the translated data dictionary?

I have custom components that i need to add to my Adaptive form fragments. My fragments still have the default cq:template '/libs/fd/af/templateForFragment/defaultFragmentTemplate'. However my Adaptive forms do have their own cq:template and i was able to add a policy that allows the use of these components on the Adaptive forms. But i can't seem to figure out how to make such a policy for the default fragment template, does anyone have a solution / suggestion?

I am trying to concatenate two form fields values into one. In the rule editor, I tried to Concat a string with a field value. It didn't throw errors, but it just won't work. guideBridge.resolveNode("from-hidden").value = Concat("ABC", this.value);I don't find Concat under Functions from the side panel. Is that why it's not working? How do I make it work?

We are using the guidedateinput component in a lot of our forms and we are looking for best practices to provide the basic date validation (ie Is it a valid date) It is looking like out of the box there is no validation in that it allows the 31st February to be entered. We do not want or expect the form editor to create a rule for every date field they use, so is there a way to attach the validation at the component level so that it validates before passing onto the rules editor to allow further checks (eg the date is this year)  

We have on-premise AEM 6.5 running on JBoss EAP which currently uses NAS for storing files. For a newer AEM installation being planned, the customer wants to use Dell EMC 's S3 storage service. Can AEM use the Amazon S3 connector to save data in this storage service?

Good day!!   Just a quick question, ive posted a couple weeks ago issues with my clients running Adobe and Foxit and that it was causing some issues.   I was thinking, would if be possible to add javascript code to the PDF as it opens and tell the PDF to force/open using "Acrobat Reader DC"??  and if they don't have it, i can break the script or just have it open with their default PDF viewer, but i could then write a little message letting them know that performance might be affected.   I don't know if that's doable, but it could help by pass the issue of having multiple PDF software's installed on a machine and forcing them to just use the right one... Hi again,   One more big issue that as come up as late, i get the following error message on a form i created and once they press ok, the form bugs out.   "This document enabled extended features in Adobe Acrobat reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available... contact the author...."   My process is, i create forms in LiveCycle designer, pass then thru the server to get signatures and extended added to them and post them live for my clients.   We have a growing number of folks that use Foxit Pro, and i know it doesn't play nice with Adobe. Is this problem related solely to that, or.... something else and is it fixable at all?    Any ideas at all here??   Thx so much again,   Patrick      

Good day everyone,   I've got a small question about expandable text field. Right now they work great, i set to "Multiple lines" and then set the box to auto expand. up to here all good.   And in order to see this happen, you type in a ton of txt inside the txtbox and when you click out, it expands to the right size. super!!! The client was wondering if the auto-expand functionality could be done as they type in the text? So they type n type, and once the text reaches the box limit, it would simply expand by another row and would keep doing that until their done and leave the box.   Is that doable at all??   Thx again   PAtrick  

I have been able to create a form data model by uploading a schema via create Adaptive form -> Template selection -> Form model tab -> Select from Schema.  In Forms CS, the UI is different and we can only select Data Models we created from Data Integration section when we create a new adaptive form. In the data integration area, how to create a new data model from an XSD (XML Schema) file. Thanks in advance

Hi, Is there a way to redirect to thank you page after an Agent submit the Interactive Communication print channel document to AEM workflow in AEM 6.5.15? How to customize to disable the submit button after submit the document to avoid multiple submissions? Appreciate all your help! Thank you!

We have successfully integrate AEM Forms and ServiceNow by restful service with a swag file. Every field can be written into SN, expect for attachment. Does anyone familiar with this and will to shed a light?

Hi again, I've got a client asking me to disable the system message they get every time they try to print a form of mine where there's mandatory fields on them. I thought that i had like and "if" statement in there checking for mandatory fields, but it turns out it doesn't and it looks like its related to the print function. Here is the code inside my print button:xfa.host.print(1, "0", (xfa.host.numPages -1).toString(), 0, 0, 0, 0, 0); Can i fix this so they can print without receiving that system message??Thx, yet again for all your help 🙂 PAtrick    

I know the "submitStart" event of GuideBridge object, but it cannot block the submit. Anyone know the method to do this? I want to retrieve some data form backend before submit and after the data successfully retrieved, then submit.

Hi All ,When i try to open my aem forms for editing , it keeps on loading as a result i am not able to edit any of the forms in the system. There is a js error in the console like screenshot below. Also there are no errors in the log file as well. I have attached the logs pertaining to the particular form i am trying to edit.
