Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Hi Developers/Engineers,   I have a question regarding uploading a PDF document and identifying it to see if it is a Static or Dynamic PDF file. I saw a similar old question below, but is there a different way of handling this use case?  Solved: Identify if the form is of type Static PDF Form or... - Adobe Experience League Community - 156266 How can this be done in JAVA or JS. The code already exists to upload the PDF form to the file system, but how can the PDF form properties be read to identify if it is static or Dynamic. When PDF form is opened in the Designer 6.5's File | Form Properties | Server, the 'Default PDF Render Format' shows if the PDF is Dynamic XML Form or Static Form. Is there a way to read this Form property programmatically? Thanks for the help. Leena      

I am developing a XFA form that includes signatures and I get the following error message. Does anyone have any idea what is going on? My other signature fields in the same form work as expected.   UPDATE: actually, it seems to be linked to the following script in the pre-sign event. var sPopUpTitle = "SAVING BEFORE SIGNING"; var sPopUpQuestion = "Do you want to save an unsigned copy of the record? /n/nAfter the form is signed, it is no longer editable; the Submitter signature cannot be cleared. Am I correct?

In LiveCycle, we were able to use xPath to add custom text within the "instruction" of a User assignment - like this {$ /process_data/@id $} - Here is an example in LiveCycle   In AEM, is there a method to inject variable information in the Description field of a task?   The use case is simple . . . a user might have 100 tasks from the same workflow but, they need to prioritize their work by look at meta-data such as part number or something else.  Currently in AEM, they would be required to open each task to look at the meta data.  How would we accomplish this in AEM Task assignments?   Thanks,

Hi Adobe Engineers,   We have a use case where XDP template is used to render the form as HTML. This form contains the HTML submit button. The user accesses this form from an URL, fills the data and clicks the HTML submit button. The outputService.generatePDFOutput()  method is used to generate a flat PDF and it is sent to the client browser.  The HTTP submit button is not visible in the flat PDF since its field property is set to 'visible (screen only)' . But if this same form is saved as interactive PDF using formsService.renderPDFForm() method then the HTTP submit button is present in the output interactive PDF. What needs to be done differently to generate interactive forms without the presence of HTTP submit button? Thanks is advance for the response. Leena

Hello everyone, I'm trying to follow the guide here: "https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-learn/forms/creating-your-first-adaptive-form/create-adaptive-form-template.html?lang=en" but every time I try to create a new configuration from the browser, the button for creation does not light up:   I log in with the administrator instance. Is there any configuration I need to enable first? thank you all for any help

Hey everyone,   I was wondering if it is possible to display an image from an XML variable into a component of an adaptive form. I am getting ERRORFailed to get refresh token error, while connecting to adobe sign from Adobe Sign integration page. I was taken to the adobe sign login page followed by permission page in a new tab. Hi community,   I'm experiencing some trouble concerning page breaks: I created an invoice form that has a dynamic table and data bindings that fill up the cells. So far so good.     The problem: There are some articles that have a very long description, which forces a page break so the table stays empty on page one. This is the area using the design view. The two floating fields have the following settings: Parent Cell (Text): next Parent (Line): and so on...   Table: page breaks allowed subform wrapping table: page breaks allowed bdyPage: page breaks allowed   I'm not able to find my mistake. Hi,    I am trying to create a Form Data Model using a data source that is connect to my Oracle Database. I'm not sure if a configured a field wrong but I am getting the error "error fetching datasource" so I am assuming it is something dealing with the JDBC connection URI. Does anyone know what I am supposed to put for the JDBC connection URI? Below is a screenshot of the "error fetching datasource" message.     Thank You

  This is another request for help with MSSQL driver bundle.  Microsoft's 6.2 driver is officially out of support for MSSQL 2019.  It's the only driver that seems to work without modification - it's already bundled in OSGI.     We've installed the latest driver and 7.4 without success.  We've tried to create our own bundle without success.  The general problem is below:   As much as I like the old proverb -    “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”    I'd just like to eat today.  Can anybody share a current MSSQL driver that works without error in AEM?  My customer cannot go to production with an unsupported driver.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this.  I am new to AEM and have been working through some tutorials.  I generated a java project using the adobe archititype and when I try to build I keep getting errors when downloading the uber-jar-6.5.8-apis.jar.  I cannot use the public repository due to proxy issues.  The jar does exist in our Maven repository.   I tried to run the mvn clean install in offline mode and I still get the error Any thoughts on how to resolve this would be appreciated.  I did search the knowledge base but nothing really matched.   [ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project learn.core: Could not resolve dependencies for project com.adobe.aem.guides:learn.core:jar:0.0.1-SNAPSHOT: The following artifacts could not be resolved: com.adobe.aem:uber-jar:jar:apis:6.5.8, org.apache.commons:commons-imaging:jar:1.0-R1534292: Could not transfer artifact com.adobe.aem:uber-jar:jar:apis:6.5.8 from/to devops-ally-repo-group (https

  We have configured a watched folder in AEM forms and it's ingesting the file successfully.  However, in the advanced configuration, we have some customer properties being configured however, the workflow is not setting them.  Are we doing something wrong?   Basically, we have a string called "inputType" and we set it to the string "file".   In the workflow, we create a string variable called "inputType" and it's value is undefined when it gets kicked off.   Here is a reference to the documentation.  We have verified that it is set using CRXDE too. https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/forms/publish-process-aem-forms/watched-folder-in-aem-forms.html?lang=en  

Hi,I am using the "AEM Form" component (/libs/fd/af/components/aemform) on a page and configuring it to select a form path. See AEM 6.2 Forms Help | Embed adaptive form or document in AEM sites page for details. Form is rendered in iFrame, unless I select the checkbox on component dialog to display in full width.(As I have  a requirement to display multiple forms on the page, they are rendered in iFrames. Multiple forms cannot be rendered full width on same page. The article linked above talks about it)On author instance, I have the iFrame rendering on the page fine. Hello, I have a basic flowed structure that has a number if checkboxes each contained within a parent subform. My goal is to have a button at the end to check for all unchecked values and hide their parent subform. Sadly, I am unable to get it to work and I would really like some help with this.   

We have a process being kicked off by a watched folder.  Unfortunately, we are not guarunteed that the filename will be "data.xml" (or whatever else).  However, because we are referring to it in the workflow, it doesn't make it very portable.     I see that it's setting this in the metadata: com.adobe.aemfd.watchfolder.sourceFileOrDir : C:\ReviewRackProcess_WatchedFolder\stage\Wxc2679dcb579a18455c19d803\data.xml I guess I need to dynamically read the filename and retrieve the XML in to a variable - probably a custom step.   Anyway, if anybody has already solved this, let me know.   Thanks,

It seems like I remember a component that would display the Document Of Record real-time within the PDF.  Maybe the last section, it will generate the DOR with the data from within the Adaptive Form?     Thanks,

I am using AEM 6.1 to display text fields with a check box. Here are my steps and the encountered problem:   Open PDF form Select Checkbox (text fields display or are now visible) Enter data in text fields Save PDF form Close PDF form Open PDF form PROBLEM: The checkbox is still selected but the text fields are invisible or hidden. WORK AROUND: Deselect the check box then reselect the check box (text fields become visible again)   QUESTION: How do I make the text fields remain visible after closing the form with the check box selected?

We have a table with a lot of columns - +20.  We would like them to be fixed width and have the Table scroll horizontally instead of squeezing everything on the screen.  Is there an easy way to do this?   Thanks,

Hello,   By default, the add/remove buttons on a dynamic table are positioned to the right of the table. Is there a way to set the buttons to be on the left side? I have attached a screenshot for reference. Thank you

Hi Team,The issue is related to the end-user form submission.Issue: Like today once submit the registration form in end user will not be able to edit the form after submission. But the next day end-user edit or modified the form( save for later)  and submitted it on the same day. This means the end user submitted twice.5-Jul-22 submitted but the next day end user will be able to access the form and 6-Jul-22 again submitted.The issue has been reported by some teams.Modification option : The business user only can be sent modifications to the end user. after that end user changes the modification and re-submit. We are replicating the issue sometimes, But are unable to replicate it every time.Please see the below issue screenshot:
