Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Hello,  was wondering if anyone knew of a way to customize the search functionality within Aem 6.5.8 and above  to have an ability to search for metadata profiles especially when the list is huge within the page so as to be able to filter and choose options such as copy etc is adobe planning to include this feature anytime soon ?  

Hi,  I am currently working in AEM Designer (LiveCycle) and I am creating dynamic documents.The documents are for example, contact sheets that colleagues can complete and then email to clients with all our contact information etc.  When viewing the pdf in Adobe Acrobat, the editable text fields display the blue field highlight to show where to type. This is fine if we are printing the document as it is then no longer visible but when emailing the document it is not ideal as the highlights still show and it isn't aesthetically pleasing in the design.  I have used code before on a standard PDF to remove the highlighting (added to javascript in acrobat), however when I create the document in AEM Designer / Livecycle and it exports a dynamic pdf, I am unable to add the javascript in Acrobat.  Please can someone advise if I can add a script in AEM forms or if there is a predefined action and if so how do I do it as I am lost.  Thanks in advance all.

I'm receiving an error when trying to uninstall. I found another question on this site suggesting registering the ImageFileBrowserIDL.dll so I tried that. Appears there's an issue with this DLL. Error trying to Uninstall Designer  Error trying to register the DLL 

Hello,I'm trying to create an AEM Form which POSTs directly to a Salesforce endpoint (action "Submit to REST endpoint). But I get an exception from guideContainer.af.internalsubmit.jsp which says:com.adobe.aemds.guide.utils.XMLUtils Invalid Xpath Syntax: 00N0Q000000tYMkjavax.xml.xpath.XPathExpressionException: javax.xml.transform.TransformerException: 00N0Q000000tYMk could not be formatted as a number.'00N0Q000000tYMk' is the name of the input, which I want to post and which is necessary for salesforce. How can I prevent this exception? Hi, I have a Designer form where users are selecting the wrong choice from a dropdown.  My content provider requested to have a pop-up show the value selected, "Are you sure?", and Yes/No buttons. Hi All,I am trying to work on the logic to view difference between two dates in HTML5 form, however i believe the Date2Num function is not working. Can someone please let me know if we can use the Date2Num function is JavaScript or if there is any alternate solution to this.Also can you please suggest if we can use the Date2Num function for HTML5 form also. ThanksPranay

I am facing issue with print button functionality for preview HTML in designer, whereas it is working fine in Preview PDF. When Preview HTML and clicked on same Print button not working, is there anything I need to configure specially for Preview HTML or anything I am missing? 

I work for the Department of Child Safety for the State of Arizona. I generate 100s of forms per year and it the inability of form fields to "grow" with available content has become an issue. What software do I need to look at and present to my directors and the I.T. staff that will allow me to do this? Is it possible to still do this within a PDF framework, XFA forms? Livecycle seems to be dead and AEM seems to have replaced it but I am not sure if AEM is web-based only now? There is a heavy print component of this process as collected data needs to be printed in instances such as court appearances etc. So, Where do I start?

Hi Team, I am trying to update a logic on the form, where i have "Hide" button on the Masterpage and  several other buttons on the content area for the page. The condition is when we click the "Hide" button on the Masterpage the rest of the buttons on the content page should be hidden and also the "Hide" button on the Masterpage should be hidden. Currently when we click the button on Masterpage it is hiding all the buttons on the content area, but it is not hiding itself, can this be an issue related with the masterpage or since is focus is moving away from the Master page it is not able to hide itself. Thank You

Hello, We have AEM Forms JEE with Websphere in production. From AEM OSGI (/lc/aem/start.html), we navigated to "Forms and Documents"We click the "Fetch workflow files".This has started the process of synchronizing JEE repository assets into the CRX.  Websphere is crashing after 5 minutes or so as it's processing this request. Is it possible to disable this sychronization? or stop it? Thanks,

I am attempting to review Forms Designer documentation from https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/experience-manager-65/forms/home.html?lang=en I think the links are broken, when I click on any of the links under Forms Designer nothing is happening.  Does anyone happen to know why these links are not working or who to contact?thanks, 

Hi Team,I am facing issue when preview of my xdp file into PDF.Purple color banner is missing in preview in PDF option. I have a requirement that buttons in my form should be place in that purple color banner on preview in PDF and HTML.Please help me how this purple color banner is coming and functionalities in AEM form Designer Purple color banner is present in preview in HTML .  

I am using Math.floor in the Exit action of a field  ((headwaterExistingMain10 is the field name) and this is the formula in Calculate action: if (headFtExistingMain10.rawValue==null)this.rawValue==nullelse this.rawValue = (Math.round(hweFtMain10.rawValue*10)/10)+(Math.round(headFtExistingMain10.rawValue*10)/10) and though the calculations work I'm getting this error message  "illegal value: cannot assign 'True' to xfa[0].form[0].form1[0].page1[0].table1[0].row5[0].headwaterExistingMain10[0].#value[0].#float[0]."  

Hi Everyone, Currently I have an on-premise AEM 6.5 that is running a bundle in Author instance. This bundle provides the middleware API to communicate with the Adobe templates.  As an admin, I like to avoid adding users in the Administrator's group unless it is absolutely necessary. I like to create a new user group that provides sufficient permissions and access level for the users in the group to perform their task successfully.  1. What steps need to be taken to create this user group? 2. Are there any existing groups in Adobe default setup that can be added to the User Group?3. In AEM , say we have two projects within Aem instance where there are two sling event handlers with the same replication action chosen as topic , how would one ensure that both run and don't overlap and can coexist for the two projects ? I could think of filtering by path for the two projects but is it wise ? any concerns we could encounter ? 

Hi,I have a process created in Workbench that signs pdf digitally. In the Sign Signature Field operation, at the appearance properties I choose literal value, select No Graphic, Show distinguished name and Show Date, but they don't get displayed. When I select Show labels, it's ok, but I don't want to display labels.Anybody has an idea? Will be much appreciated.Thanks in advance

I have a workflow which initially checks if the document has been signed or not. However, my functionality doesn't seem to work.We are using self signed digital signatures to sign PDFs. I would like to know what would be the best way to check if a form has been signed  ?Thank you in advance.Aditya

Hello Everyone, Currently I have an XPD template form that is uploaded in AEM 6.5, and a piece of code converts this form and renders it as HTML5 form. In the browser when I access this HTML form, I  can view the source code and its scripts by right clicking the mouse and selecting the 'View page source'. Is there a way to hide the source code and still allow the scripts in the form to work correctly?Is there any script that can be added to the XDP template/form or is there any setting in AEM 6.5 or in the Designer 6.5 that can be used to hide the source code in the HTML form? Is there a concept like minification associated with JS and CSS that can be applied in AEM 6.5? Is there any filter that can be applied in the dispatcher.any or any other configuration file or setting to hide the source code? I understand that the changes done here will affect all the forms and not specific ones.  Thanks,Leena

Hello, I am encountering a strange issue. The generated document of record for my adaptive form has a different font than what is used in the XDP template. The fonts in the generated DOR are Myriad Pro, while all of the font properties in the XDP are using Arial. Has anyone encountered this issue before? I noticed this issue does not occur in my local environment. The generated DOR fonts are all Arial. Could this be due to missing fonts in an environment?
