Adobe Experience Manager Forms

We have a newly installed AEM 6.4 server. Office 2016 and Adobe DC was installed prior to AEM being installed.When I log into the adminui, I go to the PDF Generator and then to Create PDF.I get this error anytime I browse and select an Office document. Example, docx, doc and xlsxI am able to go to create PDF and create a PDF from a jpg or png at this point. It just seems the Office files are giving me trouble.Any help on where to start looking would be great.I don't know much about AEM other than our team is responsible for updating the templates and importing them.We're now responsible for configuring the new AEM 6.4 servers.Thanks in advanced.

I was looking at the "AccountManagementService" as this function provide two nice features to validate users who can register themselves and it provide a feature to allow user to reset their own password. One point I want to understand is the host validation. The host name of the production server is not the same as the URL the external customer is looking at. So for the generation of the email we call the service accountManagementService.requestPasswordReset with the hostname equal to the external facing hostname. This hostname is embedded in the token as one of the secured parameters AND is used to generate the URL in the email that the user can click. On the return the system validate the token in the "AccountManagementServlet"  with this private code below. The host name here is the internal host name so the token will always be invalid as the internal host name is different from the external host name embedded in the token. Is there something I overlook here?&n

Newbie question here. I am creating a form that has a few questions included in it.  I am placing the question in the Title field.  Some of the titles/questions are not displaying fully, likely due to length.  Is there a way to have the title wrap so that the entire title/question is displayed?

I have a calculated field that totals the difference between two numbers; is there a way to use that generated total and populate a drop down? example: the calculation is 5; is there a way to populate a drop down list that would show 0,1,2,3,4,5?I think some combination of a For loop and an array might do it, however, I am no good at script writing and I would really appreciate an example 😌

We have the following: Site ==> Invoke Servlets ==> Use Services (Through @3214626 annotation) ==> many internal services use a common configuration service ( @Designate(ocd) incorporated in a dedicate implementation service itself) Now we are asked to white label the site. (ie. change the logo, address, footer ...) but keep the functionality the same. The configuration OCD has references to file location of email templates, database connection parameters, templates, ... All these need to be review and probably need to change too, but the actual services itself will be the same. (ie. email service, pickup the email template from disk format and send this to the client. The template for each white label site will be different OR database connection will point to a different schema, but the db will have the same structure.)  In this scenario we will create a separate site using the same body components, and customize the header and footer for each page templa

I have a large repository of forms created with Adobe Live Cycle Designer ES4. For business purposes, we are required to update content on these forms. It is critical for us to be able to make changes to the forms without having to recreate elements of the form or the entire form.If we were to switch to AEM, would the entire forms repository created in Live Cycle have to be recreated in AEM, in order for us to make updates to the forms?

I have done the following:- Developed Adaptive Form with navigation tabs on the left- Used fragments and implemented a lazy loading- In my code, I can detect navigation changes using guideBridge events- The fragment will be loaded lazily, and the guideBridge event "elementLazyLoaded" is triggered when the user clicks on the relevant tab, and the data get loaded successfully only for that fragment. All is working like a charm. Problem: I noticed when the user switches the navigation from one fragment to another, the previous fragment is unloaded and the new fragment is loaded. This happens only of both previous and new fragments are configured to load lazily. This means, if the user switches to fragment "a" and make some changes and doesn't save the data, then switches to fragment "b" and then to fragment "a" then the changes made in fragment "a" will be lost, since the fragment event "elementLazyloaded" will be triggered every time the fragment has the focus. Questions:

I would like to understand what is the best way to create Vanity URL for public facing forms.For eg. consider a form which is rendered using a custom profile like this :http://hostname:4502/content/profile/customProfile?contextRoot=crx:///content/dam/formsanddocuments/myforms&template=form1.xdp how can i mask the URL so that public facing link appears to be like:http://hostname:4502/form1.xdporhttp://hostname:4502/formStore/form1.xdpI want to generalize the approach, so that a single config /mapping can be used for all the form templates which are located in the same folder.

How to get File Attachments from adobe adaptive form to maven project?

I have a form which includes a few checkbox fields.  All of them are showing as red dashes in Safari on MAC rather than the box shape which displays on all other browsers on PC.  Is there some style I need to add to the page to fix this display? If so can someone provide guidance?Thanks 

Hi community, we need to setup AEM Forms 6.5 (OSGI) on a Windows Server 2016 Installation is as follows (https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-65/forms/install-aem-forms/osgi-installation/install-configure-document-services.html)The user has administration permissions 1. AEM 6.5 running with Quickstart (tested already as a service, too): all bundles started2. Installed SP3 and the related Forms for Windows (6.0.122)3. Adjusted sling.properties with bouncy castle... -> everything is up and running fine (no custom bundle, just AEM with SP3 and Forms) If I try to render a simple reference DoR (http://localhost:4502/aem/formdetails.html/content/dam/formsanddocuments/reference-dor-templates/split.xdp), I get the following error:  Internal Server Error Cannot serve request to /content/dam/formsanddocuments/reference-dor-templates/split.xdp/jcr:content in /libs/xfaforms/render/GET.jsp Exception: com.adobe.forms.service.LCFormsService

Hi, I have created a sample table in mysql and tried to create a form data model based on a schema-> table.While trying to do testing for read and insert I get the following error. While reading : Deserialization not allowed for class [Ljava.lang.String; (on Thu Jun 04 16:49:46 IST 2020) While inserting :  {"errorMessage": "java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Deserialization not allowed for class [Ljava.lang.String; (on Thu Jun 04 16:50:05 IST 2020)"} Please help. Thanks,Bibhu.

Hi,I have a form that is using the out of the box accordion layout on a panel with 5 sub-panels underneath.When I load the form the first sub-panel is set to active and is opened automatically. This is useful most of the time, however I would like to know if it is possible to collapse all of the panels programatically (or via a setting)?I have tried using the guidebridge api setFocus to focus on a button at the button of the form when the form initialises, but this did not work (as I think the focus may be handled after the init?).I am also aware that I can setFocus to another panel (rather than the first panel), but this isn't what I am after.Can anyone think of another way to collapse all the panels on the accordion when the form is loaded?Thanks,Jim

Hello everybody, I am a new with project with AEM Form and AEM Site. Hope you can help me with these points: 1. For performance reason, I have AEM Form and AEM Site in different Author instance servers.  How can I handle Editing from one single access point?2 . AEM Form and AEM Site will be installed in Managed Service and we are going to use Pipeline to push code into different environment. is there any solution for this scenario without contacting Adobe Team?  Thanks

AEM instance 6.5 and having forms-addons package too. Analytics is successfully integrated with Adaptive form after following steps from https://docs.adobe.com/content/help/en/experience-manager-65/forms/integrate-aem-forms-with-experience-cloud-solutions/configure-analytics-forms-documents.htmlbut cannot see any analytics call generating while filling up data on form and submitting it (verified in network tab by adding filter b/ss). Also there is no error/warn logs in error.logs. Tried on Author and publish AEM instances. Please suggest, if missing any step?

I have a form with a few fields where my users will enter content.  It is my intent to limit the amount to text entered, but rather than add a character limit, I would like add some word count counter feature with the field.  Something like (150 of 300 words used) so the user knows they are approaching the word limit.  I would prefer a word limit over a character limit as I want to provide guidance rather than forced limitation.Thanks 

We are using AEM Forms 6.5 for document conversion. We got this error when trying to convert a docx-file - 07:46:31,337 ERROR [com.adobe.pdfg.GeneratePDFImpl] (default task-14) ALC-PDG-001-000-ALC-PDG-060-001-Microsoft Word could not set the "ShowRevisionsAndComments" property. This could happen if the submitted document is protected. We tried with a password protected file but that gave us a different error msg. Any ideas? regards Tommy

I have a form which otherwise displays properly but in Firefox it includes a horizontal scrollbar along the side of the form. Is there some coding I need to do so this does not display?Thanks

Hi  I have created a FDM based on REST service.In my Adaptive Form , I created a rule to invoke the FDM service using AuthID input parameter.This should return me a jason response.How do I map this response back to my form, since i am getting null when trying to map in a textField. Also tried to create a variable and mapped into that but receiving null/undefined. When i am directly testing my FDM through Test Service I get a proper response, Kindly help. Thanks ,Leena Jain

Trying in AEM6.5, I have configured analytics and framework from cloud services(refer attached screenshot). Also done OSGI configuration. as per documention https://helpx.adobe.com/aem-forms/6/configure-analytics-adaptive-forms.html#ConfiguringAEMformsAnalyticsConfigurationservice. AEM 6.5.4 -I was looking for a guide/ sample on User password management. Found reference to 6.1 and even 5.x version, some no longer available, is there something more current? 1. configuring the user password policya. Max age allowed for a passwordb. How many charactersc. Password Complexity rulesd. How often you can repeat your passworde. Disable user after x number of failed tries.... 2. Through servlets/models have back-end functions that will be called from our own site pagesa. Forgot my UserIDb. Forgot my passwordc. Validate complexity and the updated passwordd. Reset passworde. Unlock user account....

AEM 6.5.4. When we want to create new templates, the system needs you to select a template-type. We notice that for some folders in /conf/<folder> the template types showing up include the templates for adaptive forms that are taken from "/libs/settings/wcm/template-types". On the other hand for other projects these do not show as available template types.  One observation is that folder that do not show the adaptive templates were all created through maven archetype 23 project, while if we use the AEM menu Configuration and create a new folder for templates then the adaptive templates do show up.  Is this an issue with the way the maven project is created or is this just co-incidental? But more important:Where is the configuration setting to allow or disallow the use the template-types from "/libs/settings/wcm/template-types".
