Hi, I was going through this article https://sling.apache.org/documentation/bundles/models.html#field-injection to understand models in aem.How does the injection of values really work?  The documentation says that : In this case, a property named propertyName will be looked up from the Resource (after first adapting it to a ValueMap) and it is injected. Fields can use any visibility modifier: So does the resource first adapted to ValueMap and then injected?if anyone has any detailed explanation or understanding of what happens behind the scene, could you please explain?

I need to create a container component that can accept other components. Can anyone point me to some documentation about this? My searches haven't been lucky so far.I tried setting cq:isContainer flag but that didn't do anything. Obviously there's more to it than just that.Using 6.3 and editable templates.Thanks,

Hi Team,We are using AEM as cloud service In a experience fragment (XF1) with 2 different component in layout container.now from this another Live copy variation (XF2) has been created as one of the component needs to inheritance  now in XF2 variation 1st component inheritance has been cancelled but enabled for 2nd component and same content is required there  still rolling out as page rollout still pushing to cancelled inheritance also . we are using OOB standard rollout config. while investigation further seems inheritance hasn't been cancelled for multi-field of the component i.e at component node is showing as cq:LiveSyncCancelled hence property like id or other property is not getting overridden but multi-field property of the sample component cq:LiveSyncCancelled not getting applied how we can apply the cq:LiveSyncCancelled to this multifield ?  

I have deleted a page in AEM but I needed to restore the page. When I restored the page, the URL appeared with a -0 at the end. When I try to make a new page with the same URL, another number is added for example: Original URL before deletion: triage-toolRestored page: triage-tool0New page: triage-tool1 I can't seem to find the page anywhere within Sites, how do I remove this phantom number so I can have the original URL? I know there is a way as I was able to fix it before, but can no longer remember the steps. 

Hi, I am not able to login to my AEM Publisher instance in browser as it was showing the below error,So, I checked the error log and found the below response, GET /libs/granite/core/content/login.html HTTP/1.1] org.apache.sling.engine.impl.SlingRequestProcessorImpl service: Resource /libs/granite/core/content/login.html not found Because of this issue I am not able to access /system/console and it's features. Please advise how to proceed and rectify this.

Hello,I want to embed a video using the scene7 video player in my webpage, which starts automatically when the page is loaded. Hi Team while installing AEM 6.5.16.0 in mac system we are facing a different issue where we are able to get the login screen while starting the AEM but after that we are getting below error. Hi, The thing is, actually I have removed a section(photo library as per the image below) from one of the tabs from the header.And then I published the respective tab, and the respective page and also cleared the cache for those links too.But still I could see that section(photo library) in the tab. And if I click on the respective page, then the page is unresponsive.So the actual outcome shouldn't have that section in that tab. So, please help me out in providing solution to this issue. Thanks,Shreyas.

We have created environment variable named "ENV_TYPE" in cloud manager. When we are trying to use this variable in dispatcher code. I have created a custom component for asset share commons. In the code base, asset share commons is present via embedding. So it gets installed with deployment.How can I add my custom component to the asset share commons apps path so that after deployment, my component also get installed?

Hi, I am using image list component and fixed search and giving the path of my subpages to list those pages as a card on the home page like wknd project home page articles are showing there so when we click on those card then it will redirect  on those page but when giving the path of the wknd then it working fine but for my case it is not working when giving the path of my  parent page, it is empty

Hello,I have requirement on archiving the assets, where i need to send a mail to the folder owners before one month of actual expiry date. So we are planning to take the folder owners mail id from the ACS AEM commons generic list.I am looking for the help how we can access the generic list directly on backend without adding the ACS AEM commons on the component dialog as a datasource. Hey folks,I'm attempting to upload a 316MB package to CQ use CRXDE - the import reaches 100% and then fails with the message "Error while creating tmp file." I had no issues with smaller packages, the only difference with this one is the size. Is there an upper limit on packages for upload? Do I need to clear out some tmp files or up some memory params? Hi All,Since TagPicker is deprecated from AEM 6.3. I want to migrate to TagField touch ui. rootpath property is a string so can give one specific namespace path (eg:/content/cq:tags/forum). I have a requirement to list multiple namespaces(rootpath) in tagfield touch ui dialog.rootpath = "/content/cq:tags" - list all namespaces in cq:tags folderrootpath = "/content/cq:tags/forum" - (single namespaces) list the children of forum namespaceRequirement: Tagfield dailog columnview should populate the tags from "/content/cq:tags/forum", "/content/cq:tags/namespace1", "/content/cq:tags/namespace2", "/content/cq:tags/namespace3"Need to list more than one namespaces and list set of namespaces in each tagfield dialog. How to achieve this?

Hello, I would like to explore the Redirection options available for one of our scenario. We have Two different AEM instances for different purposes (NOT meaning a stand-by instance here).When there is a page request to 'PAGE A' located in AEM Instance-1, we want a different page, say 'PAGE B' on AEM Instance-2 to be served.  I am aware of options like Page Redirect configurations on Page Properties, Dispatcher Url rewriting etc, Kindly suggest the most Optimal & Flexible option to achieve this redirection.Also kindly clarify if "Page Redirection" field under the Advanced Page Properties has the capacity to redirect to other page within the Same instance only ? 

I can't get Google Tag Manager to work using the "Generic Analytics Snippet" under the AEM "Cloud Services Configurations" I can enter the typical Google Analytics code snippet, and get it to work on AEM pages, but when I replace the GA Tag snippet, with the GTM code snippet, it doesn't show up the pages? Why doesn't this work out of the box? It seems that they allow the GA code, but don't allow the GTM code. It seems you have to write custom code, or use the integration that's available on the web from CityTech.

I'm trying to swap the default service account for AEM Quickstart on Linux RHEL (AEM 6.5.16). I'm concerned about using the ec2-user account in production and want to set up a dedicated service account with appropriate permissions. Has anyone done this before? What configuration changes did you make? TL;DR Instead of running Quickstart.jar as ec2-user, I want to run it as a different user with minimal permissions required.
