Build better products with our product team
As an admin, I'm frequently asked to add users to the system. I generally will search for a "like" user already in the system and check to see what groups/teams/access level the current user is assigned to, and set up my new user in a similar way. I have "New from Selected Person" available to me from the People/People tab, but I don't necessarily want to set up a filter to allow me to see only the subset of users I want to see. It would be wonderful for admin users to have the option to create a new user from an existing user's details tab.
Hello, It is painful and timely for project owners to investigate project tasks at the detailed level in order to remove projects from timesheets. People are so busy they just don't have the time. It just shouldn't be this complicated. Our organization would like the ability from the my timesheet view to remove a project or tasks, which would override the native rules in Workfront. The pinning feature helps keep the project task on the timesheet, but is ineffective to remove it. Regardless of the project task dates, we'd like to be able to remove the project task or entire project from the timesheet. Thanks! Emily
It would be great if timesheets would auto-save whenever you enter time directly on the timesheet.
Tasks that are marked as "canceled" or "100% complete" from the project should clear from "my work". I'd also like to see %complete in my work.
For purposes of coverage, as well as on larger projects and corporate wide initiatives, to have co-(or more) project managers. We would like the ability to add multiple owners, either within the project owner field or as a separate field for additional owners. This could be structured similarly to assignments, where the first assignee is "primary" but others are recorded and have the same rights to the task.
Not tagging a person on a update and going back and relying to that comment a week later makes it look like the person has been tagged on both comments. It allow a person to come back and say"this person was tagged the whole time" The user should know exactly who was tagged on each individual comment. This will hold people accountable foe tagging the appropriate people at the time of the comment. Attached a snapshot from a ticket I opened. Was asked to put this into Idea Exchange but I think that 18.1 release and before worked differently then it does in 18.2
Right now, if a custom form is attached to a task, there is nothing that forces the user to fill out the custom form. The task may be completed, without the custom form from being updated. Even if the custom form has required fields. Only when someone edits the custom form, does it require you to fill in the required fields. We have examples of collecting information when we get to certain points in a project. This data is being collected via a custom form on a task. However, the system doesn't force the assigned to user to fill in the custom form. They can close the task without even looking at the custom form tab. As a workaround we have been attaching an approval process to the task, so the PM can verify the information was populated. However, it would be nice to not have to take this extra step.
Having the functionality to copy a custom field will be hugely beneficial to the users in charge of managing the forms and System Administrators. Currently if I, for example, have a dropdown with 100 choices, and want to have a second dropdown with 99 choices, I will have to manually recreate all those 99 choices.

Description -Add a new non-admin access level specifically for Data Warehouse that allows users to view all existing jobs, especially recurring ones. Why is this feature important to you -Our data engineers and current users need to access all recurring jobs as it is essential to their job function. Our organization has a high turnover rate. However, we don't want to grant admin access to all our data warehouse users. How would you like the feature to work -In the admin console, admins will have a new access option to assign to users: view all jobs in Data Warehouse.Current Behaviour -When the Data Warehouse UI updated a few months ago, our regular users were not able to access the existing jobs, including recurring jobs, as they had been able to do before. After promoting them to admin, they were then able to see all existing jobs.
