Description - In Reporting tool when clicking on "Show Filters", the system displays Group ID numbers assigned to each Group (eg. Filtered By: Group ID in 6329ecc1002d900350211fbb4b19f821). Enhance system to display the actual Group Names instead of Group ID# in the "Show Filters" click? Why is this feature important to you - Displaying random Group ID #s assigned is confusing and of no value to end users How would you like the feature to work - Show actual Group Name vs Group ID in "Show Filters" click Current Behaviour - the system displays Group ID numbers assigned to each Group (eg. Filtered By: Group ID in 6329ecc1002d900350211fbb4b19f821).
I work in EMEA covering number of time zones from London to India. When creating dynamic email content based on language segmentation and or Sub-regions is it possible to stagger the send times based on recipients time zone? For example the email goes to all at 10am local time based on their time zone?London GMT 10am | Berlin +1 | Dubai +3 hours | India +5
I have seen a few questions on the discussion forum and have been wondering about it myself. When you set up a wait step with a duration you can set the "must end on" for a specific moment. Using this duration often has the purpose to make sure an email is sent within business hours. Setting the must end on to the beginning of business hours (e.g. Mon-Fri at 7AM) means every email in that flow will be sent at 7AM, but that is not always what you want. It would be great if you could specify to "wait one hour and the wait step must end between Mon-Fri 7AM-5PM".
Description -The Home Work List Planned Completion Date field should be able to include the time.Similar to how you can select this in a task under advanced opitions, field format. Why is this feature important to you -This is important because assignees use the Work List as a hot sheet and to priortize when tasks are due.Having the time a task is Planned Completion Date is important for planning. How would you like the feature to work -Similar to how it works with a task in the schedule. Shows the Planned Completion Date with the Time.Current Behaviour -Only shows the Planned Completion Date.
Description -Why is this feature important to you - This would be a big time saving feature when multiple lines of text need to be removed from a proof - such as in contract reviews. this would also improve turnaround time How would you like the feature to work -Have a full proof edit option when a reviewer could mark multiple lines of text for deletion (redline). Be able to use the search feature in a proof to locate and mark for deletion the search for word(s) or final all and indicate a replacement in a single comment fieldCurrent Behaviour - Each time the delete text (strikethough) feature is used - a new comment must be created. This is extremely time-consuming, causing some reviewers to not use proof - but download and redline the document instead. The defeats the intent of using proof
Does any other organization using WorkFront have users working in different time zones? Do you use the Time off Feature to block users' calendars for days they are not working? We ran into an issue recently where, if we add an "All Day" day off event to a user's profile from the east coast of US, and that user then views his time off on the west coast, the days it displays as time off "All Day" events are different than what is seen on the east coast. See attached screenshots. Basically if we set 4/27 as an "All Day" day off from the east coast, it shows as a 2-day "All Day" day off from 4/26-4/27. The opposite is true also: If we set 4/27 as a day off from the west coast, and view it from a PC on the east coast, it shows 2-day "all day" off from 4/27-4/28. This causes all sorts of issues on our planning side as we have resources in many different timezones.I contacted workfront tech support as a consistent view of our team's availability is critical for planning our project deliveries. I was told by the support team that this is a new feature and needs to be requested in the Ideas Exchange. East coast view when we set the time offSame calendar as viewed from a PC on the west coast.
Description - Options on what happens with the decision for those approvers that do not make one before the stage is locked. Why is this feature important to you -We have multiple approvers on our proofs that should be making a decision on the proof within their stage by a certain deadline. However, if the deadline is not met we need the proof to continue on through its remaining stages. The issue is the proof will continue to show on these users work list with no way to clear it because their stage is now locked and limiting their options to only view it that time. So the item remains in their work list until they are removed from the proof, make a decision (proof would need to be unlocked to do so or someone with the proper permissions would need to do it for them) or the proof is archived. None of these option provide a great user experience for the Approver nor for the Proof owner or Admin having to make the edits to clear the items. How would you like the feature to work -My idea would be to have options around what locking a stage in a proof does for the remaining decision makers. Options could be:1. Operates as it does today.2. (Preferred) Continues to show the users interaction within the proof with SOCD but marks the decision as "No response" if one is not made before the stage is locked and removes the item from the Work List. This gives the option to go back and unlock the proof if needed and allow for a decision.3. Operate similar to how "Only one decision required" option does. Once the proof is locked mark all non respondents decisions as "Not Relevant" so it will remove the item from the Work List. The issue here is if the proof is unlocked for any reason their decision will have been set to "Not Relevant" so it would show as a decision made and not show back up on a work list.Current Behaviour -Currently when a stage is locked, whether it is done manually or automatically via deadline, those approver users remaining that did not make a decision before the stage was locked continues to have the item show in the work list. With the proof locked and in another stage the user is no longer able to action on the proof, therefore they are not able to clear the item from their work list.
Description - When using the Workload balancer it would be nice if when using the bulk assignments options it would dynamically change the filter on the assigned work section to the users matching the role selected on the role assignments options. Why is this feature important to you - It would save time having to switch filters based on different roles/teams.How would you like the feature to work - Selecting a specific role assignment would then only show workers associated with that role by default. If someone needed to do the task not associated with the role is needed, there could be an option to turn it off to see all or to use traditional filtersCurrent Behaviour - Selecting the role does nothing to filter and show users with that role association.
Quick idea here! I think it would be helpful to be able to see the fields that are in use in a form as well as what is set for "Follow Up With" in the Overview of the form (without having to create a draft). I mocked up what I was thinking these could look like using MS paint (so bear with me)! They could either fall under the Summary section or an entirely new section/tab could be created for them. Image 1: Stay on page optionImage 2: External URL optionImage 3: Landing page option To start, just have the field names would be great. A nice addition would be the ability to see if a field is required and what the field type is (image 4).
Description - Planner currently shows you absolutely everything and the kitchen sink unless you filter it out, so even though I'm viewing this quarter, I see projects that have no scope within the quarter—some as old as two years. Why is this feature important to you - It's extra clicking to apply a time-based filter. Plus, if I want to scroll through time, I then have to adjust my time-based filter to follow me. The need to apply a time-based filter is unituitive. How would you like the feature to work - Let's make Planner smarter so that it lists only projects that have scope within the timeframe you're viewing. This would align it to the intelligence applied to Workload Balancer.Current Behaviour - I have to apply a time-based filter.
It would be great if administrators could regenerate failed proofs especially after Workfront Proof goes down like it did for us the other day, having to delete multiple versions across multiple proofs is quite inconvenient for our staff and time consuming in an extremely busy environment. This could work either by selection a Regenerate Proof link from the Version dropdown in Workfront, an API call or from within Workfront Proof itself. There is no way currently to regenerate a failed proof after the system goes down.
Description - If the Proof deadline is 5 days and the task deadline is 1 day, it is supposed to calculate both the proof duration and the task duration and make the task deadline 6 days. Why is this feature important to you - This will help us align both the proof deadline and the task deadline on the same page. How would you like the feature to work - Calculate both the proof duration and the task duration and make the task deadline equal to the total days.Current Behaviour - Proofing Deadlines Not Aligning to Task Deadlines
When using the /rest/asset/v1/files.json endpoint, being able to use MIME type as a querying parameter would be useful, especially when dealing with Design Studio instances where foldering has not been properly used. Being able to pull all PDFs with application/pdf or PNGs with image/png would be helpful for paring down results to just certain types of files. The MIME type today is already returned when using this endpoint.
The ability to add custom forms to a Team. In our use case, we have client-based teams, and we like to attach a custom form where we can reference other objects to the team, or even just add custom fields, calculated fields, or even basic Workfront fields.
Description - Enhance the Issue Stakeholder section are within the overview tab. Add the option to add user's names similar to assignments however the purpose is to grant view access automatically. In addition, this could be addressed by adding secondary and tertiary contacts that are automatically granted view access to the issue object. Why is this feature important to you - The field can then be pulled into reporting to allow for more than one stakeholder (entered by or primary contact are limited to two separate names at most). How would you like the feature to work - similar to assignments however the purpose is to grant view access automatically. Current Behavior - No field exists.
This will allow to better setup user interface through the Layout Template and will ensure that the users have all they need to start working right away. Currently I'm forced to Log In As each user and set the view/filter/grouping for them which is a lot of manual work.
