Description - Update the Workload Balancer Bulk Assignments tool so that it functions the same way that the Scheduler Assignments tools does so that when a role is selected the drop down list populates with all (and ONLY) the users associated with the role. The current 'Smart Assignments' tool does not work as well. Why is this feature important to you - It seems small, but the original function to display the users associated to the roles is key to why the roles are assigned in Workflow templates in the first place. Only displaying recent assignments does not help owners see when the list of workers associated with roles changes (like when new users are added or when users change roles). It also no longer provides the crucial support to new owners who will not have assigned anyone at first or know the team well enough to just know what users associate to what role. So, this change takes away a big part of what made that tool so valuable. How would you like the feature to work - When a role is selected the drop down list populates with all (and ONLY) the users associated with the role. If 'Smart Assignments is desired, it should simply order the recent assignments at the top of the list although I personally think alphabetical is still the best option. Current Behaviour - In the Project level Workload balancer tool for Bulk Assigning tasks, the Assign User action is no longer populating the User list to assign based on the Task Role assignment selected the way that the Scheduler Assignments tool worked.NOTE: Tech Support confirmed this is not a "bug" so this idea submission is required for an update to be made: After reviewing our documentation here, the user list is not specifically designed to pre-populate with users who fit the role assignment. Instead, it follows the criteria for smart assignments, as listed below:See full article: Smart Assignments Overview In other words, if no users are populating when attempting to bulk assign a specific task role, it likely means that the logged-in user has not assigned anyone with that role in the past 30 days. One way you can test this is to manually assign a user with that specific role to any task, and then go back to the bulk-assign tool. You should now see that the user pre-populates in the list as expected.
Workfront calendar's need a way to sort events. Our campaign names get seperated from their tactics even though they begin their names the same.
We recently were trying to sync additional fields to Revenue Explorer and kept receiving an error. After opening up a support ticket, we were told that "this is now expected behavior to improve functionality and behavior results within the UI. Standard fields can no longer be synced as Dimensions and we ask that you should create custom fields to store this data, as this is now the intended design". So basically the only way to sync these fields is to create a new proxy field for every field we want to sync. How does that make any sense at all?! Please bring this functionality back.
Description - When a user is assigned as a project owner, their sharing of the project is capped by their license type. If they have a "Contribute" permission on a project they own, and their license is upgraded to allow "Manage" rights, as the project owner, their sharing permission should automatically be elevated. This is for 2 reasons: They own the project so they should be a manager of the project no different than if they created it, and the current behavior is that no one, even those with "Manage" rights, can change the project owner's sharing rights. Only the admins can change the owner's sharing permission. This is a design flaw in my opinion. Why is this feature important to you - Users who are project owners cannot be set with Manage permission except by an admin, but more importantly, their sharing permission should automatically be elevated if they get upgraded to a Plan license and they own the project. How would you like the feature to work - If a project owner had a "Contribute" max sharing, and they get a Plan license, the project that they own when opening should automatically elevate their sharing permission to "Manage". If the project owner's permission will not get elevated automatically, then other users with "Manage" permission on the project should be able to change the project owner's sharing permission to "Manage". Current Behaviour - The sharing permission does not change, so the project owner cannot manage the project, even if they get a Plan license. Other users who have "Manage" rights also cannot change the owner's sharing permission. Only Admins can make this change, which means someone who was assigned as a project owner but had a Work license, must file a support ticket to fix their permission.
Description - On Custom Forms it would be great to have Sub-Sections. Why is this feature important to you - Need to group data and or hide multiple fields within a section How would you like the feature to work -They would have the overall behavior of the main section but then could have additional subsection attributes such as Display Logic. Thus if the Parent Section is skipped then this whole sub-section is skipped but otherwise its logic is layered on top of the Parent Section. Same goes with Access Rights Current Behaviour - not possible
Description - If you include a Typeahead field, the user selects a value. Should allow a Calculated Custom Field to read the fields in the Object that is selected in the Typeahead Why is this feature important to you - I want to be able to display that information easily on the object I am on and it be directly related to the object I link to in the typeahead How would you like the feature to work - Add the Ability to search for a Typeahead field within the object Current Behaviour - Cannot read the Typeahead field in the Calculated Custom Field
Description - I would love for the Illustrator extension to enable creatives to timesheet as the Indesign and Photoshop extension does. Why is this feature important to you - This is the main tool our creatives use so would be amazing.
Description - If you're on an unactivated stage in routing and someone @'s you in the proof, you should be able to reply directly to that comment, but right now, you can't. Why is this feature important to you - We have a few designers with specific skills that are on a File Build Check stage but if a client asks a question regarding the project to one of those designers, they're unable to respond in the proof because they're stage isn't active or their role and have to go through additional steps to correspond, mostly outside of the proof/Workfront. It seems unnecessary. How would you like the feature to work - Just make it that if you're @'d in a comment on the proof you can respond directly to that comment even if your stage is not activated. Current Behaviour - If you want to respond to that comment you're @'d in, you either have to have someone change your role and move you to a previous stage or you have to carry the conversation over to the project, or find a way to correspond outside o Workfront.
Description - When you open a user's profile page in Workfront, you would see their title on top. This title is not necessarily associated with the work they perfom within Workfront. Meaning I could be a senior manager but my job in Workfront is to strategize campaign so my role is Strategic Marketer. It would make more sense to have the job roloe show up instead of my title Why is this feature important to you - This way the admins do not need to keep updating the user titles are they switch roles. How would you like the feature to work - Another way could be to just hide the title from the profile page so user's cannot see it. Current Behaviour - Currently we see the title on top of the user name and it is a manual task where the admin team will need to go into each profile and match the title to their current title in the org. Since we do not get notified about this unless the user themselves come and tell us or else the admin team will need to put a weekly/monthly process in ploace to make such changes proactively.
We use Adobe Launch at our company. We have quite a number of dataelements. However in terms of maintenance we are in need of a referencing system in Launch. Where are data elements being used (in conditions, extensions, action, …) ? There is no such feature in Launch. The equivalent does exist in AEM for assets, hence the ask whether Launch could provide the same tool.
Transfer a request to someone outside of Workfront for handling Why is this feature important to you - not everyone uses Workfront therefore, when I have a request that should have gone elsewhere, I sometimes have to spend time adding all the details to an email message to transfer to a non-Workfront team. How would you like the feature to work - from the request landing page, click the 3 dots and choose Transfer to open a popup window to compose an email to include a custom message plus PDF of custom form information and existing update feed along with documents attached. Current Behaviour - all request data and comments has to be manually gathered and copy/pasted to an email, attachments downloaded and attached to said email to send to a team outside of Workfront.
Journal entry reports are great for tracking specific detail on objects. For some reason, and WF support has confirmed this, there is no journal entry report for tracking updates on templates. We have a ton of templates and I need to track who is making certain edits to them (i.e. planned hours, new tasks, durations, etc.). WF, please give the option to use a journal entry report for templates! Every other object is supported.
The current MKTO integration with LinkedIn matched audiences only leverages the email address. We would like to see company name and other data points on a person record leveraged here to increase match rates and effectiveness of the tool. Presently, we receive a better match rate through direct list upload as the MKTO integration is lacking functionality.
