Based on a particular template, we'd like to show or hide particular fields from the user on the Project Settings Screen to make it easier for them to populate just the fields they need to fill out. Since we have created the template with certain settings defaulted, the user doesn't need to address those fields, so why have them scroll past them all. Project Settings could be a layout template?
Description - The current form capabilities do not allow users to color, highlight, strikethrough, etc. to text within a Comments Field. It also does not allow users to copy and past images into the field. Why is this feature important to you - We are replicating the existing briefing process that is currently being done via Word and/or PDF which allows for this. This limitation is causing issues when we are now trying to systemize this process. How would you like the feature to work - Add Rich Text Capabilities to the Comment Fields within Workfront Current Behavior - Using Bold, Italics, <>, and the Update section to identify who made updates/changes within a Comments section. This is the #1 compliant of our solution and can potentially delay our enterprise rollout of our solution to the organization until this if resolved.
Description -Why is this feature important to you - We need to implement Web SDK Analytics for over 1000 sites How would you like the feature to work - We want that we can create one global launch property with certain set of rules and then call these rules in another launch property for dedicated websites. So that if we make changes in the global launch property, it automatically gets reflected in other launch properties as wellCurrent Behaviour - Currently, we need to copy rules from one launch property to other and if there is some change in the global template property , we need to make changes for all the properties again
Templates and process management could be streamlined by allowing for system individual roles to be assigned to a task, similar to how you can apply these to a task approval. As an organization, we are looking at ways to make creation of templates and general process design more efficient, such as assigning a task to a "requestor". Ability to apply a Project Owner, Project Sponsor, Portfolio Owner, Program Owner, etc. to an assignee field. Attached a mocked-up example.
Description - Workfront allows you to attach files in the Updates section of an object (Allow users to add images in updates setting must be turned on), the attachment shows in the update feed. However, the document is not saved in the source object Documents tab. Why is this feature important to you - Our practice is to move all documents to G Drive as part of our project managements. We are unable to move any documents added through the updates feed because they don't show up in the Documents area. In addition, we do not have access to additional document features like comments, versioning, details, and proofing. How would you like the feature to work - Would like to see the attachment added to the source object Documents tab. This would allow all documents to be managed centrally on the object or parent object. Current Behaviour - Currently, when you attach a file in the Updates section the image appears in the Updates section. However, the document is not saved in the source Object documents tab. Instead it is saved in the user's main Documents section.
Description:Update the functionality so that when multiple teams are assigned to a task, every team receives a notification when the task is ready to begin. The current functionality only notifies the first team that is assigned to the task. Looking at this screenshot, the Digital Imaging Team was notified when the predecessors of the task were complete, but the Photography Team was not notified. Why is this feature important to you:It is important that every Team (every person on the team) is notified when they have work that is ready for them. The project can have delays when users aren't aware of a task that is ready to begin. How would you like the feature to work:I would like the ALL teams assigned to a task to receive the "A Dependent Task You're Assigned to is Now Ready to Start" notification. Current Behavior:Currently, only the first team assigned to the task receives the "A Dependent Task You're Assigned to is Now Ready to Start" notification. Other teams are not notified.
It would assist our Resource Managers if the Workload Balancer could appear in the left panel of the portfolio view as it does in project view. With the current available filters in the Workload Balancer we can’t reduce the people results down to what we want to see, so seeing only the tasks and assignments among team members within a specific portfolio would help with our ways of working.
Description - Add an option to have text in a proof read aloud wherever text is selectable and not build into an image. Why is this feature important to you - There is no option to have text within a proof read aloud like you can in a PDF. This is vital when proofreading something as it helps to hear any issues instead of relying on visually catching them. How would you like the feature to work - Have an icon to select to have text read aloud, ideally with some better functionality than even a PDF to have it work similar to Word where it starts reading from where your cursor is located with a start/pause button, and simple settings to adjust speed and voices. Current Behaviour - Not possible, and no browser extensions or Windows narrator seem capable of doing it because of how a proof is integrated in the browser where you can't select text. Having the option to highlight text outside of a comment would be helpful in general since we currently have to download the PDF to select the text and transfer it to Word to run a simple spell check.
Description - In current scenario whenever an asset (segment/calculated) metric is updated/modified, the prior definition cannot be accessed. The version control feature in (segment/calculatedMetric) would allow users to keep track of how this asset evolved over a period of time and also roll-back to last aligned / approved state whenever required. Why is this feature important to you - We have multiple assets that are maintained and are used for downstream reporting / use-cases (For example: Tableau dashboards / Bigquery tables etc). In case of data mismatch between AA and Tableau the primary reason always have been underlying AA asset was modified. The biggest challenge is to retrieve prior definition which was aligned for downstream system reporting. How would you like the feature to work -- Specific Tags that can be applied to (segment/calculatedMetric) assets, and these tags ensure any changes made to assets need to be approved by owner/system-admin/product-admin. With last approved state/definition available to roll-back in case required. Current Behaviour -Once a (segment/calculatedMetric) is updated, only the meta-data (Last modified By) is updated, the prior definition JSON payload are not accessible. So It is difficult to determine what has changed /or roll-back.
In the new Adobe app SDK - mobile lifecycle events (such as install/crash/upgrade) are only available in Adobe Analytics - and are not exportable via Data Feeds - refer attached image for example metrics I am referring to We expect that we can export lifecycle events in a similar manner as - so that we can import this data into our own data lake and BI platform for our own analysis In the previous (n w legacy mobile app sdk) this data was available in the Adobe Analytics Data Feed I see this as a feature regression and request that this feature be enabled/developed for the current app SDK Thanks Justin Kelly
Description -Why is this feature important to you - Analytics help leadership understand the positive impact workfront has on our organization. How would you like the feature to work - I would like to build reports or dashboards with information pulled from enhanced analytics, so leaders can see the analytics information in an already curated timeframe, portfolio, and to be able to add filters to show relevant information. Current Behaviour - it is not possible to pull this data into reports or dashboards currently.
Description - Currently there is no way (as far as I know) to view the rule setup (the UI definition) of a segment which is created with an PQL expression (and without an ansibleDataModel) through the API. Why is this feature important to you - We are currently automating the creation process of multiple batch / edge segments, across different sandboxes. Since we are not able to reverse engineer the ansibleDataModel, we are creating the segment with a PQL expression. This gives us a segment which we are not able to look at in the same way as manually UI-created segments How would you like the feature to work - Maybe generate the ansibleDataModel based on the PQL-expression automatically (if the ansibleDatamodel is missing in the request). Also it would be nice if we could set a UI_read_only-flag on the segment, so we can assure that it is not changed by the users in the UI. Current Behaviour - Segments created through API with a PQL-expression (where ansibleDataModel is missing in the request) get the following error, when clicking "edit audience": Audience can't be loaded This audience has been edited outside of the Platform Segment Builder and is no longer editable within the Segment Builder interface.
Description - Add functionality to update VRS owner through API. When the identity of an Analytics asset owner is removed from the system (and someone new is added) the need for updating the old owner on Analytics assets is araising. Currently it is possible to change owner through the API on all other Analytics assets, but not VRS,Why is this feature important to you - In our case, when changing identity service, the old user's assets were soft deleted and we needed to transfer all assets registered on "unknown user" to the new identity of the owner. How would you like the feature to work - Owner update is reflected, in the same way as on the other Analytics assetsCurrent Behaviour - When sending in a new owner in an update request on a VRS, this is not reflected, even though the response is 200.
Description - Currently it is not possible to handle tags through the APIWhy is this feature important to you - The administration of tags on segments/audiences is important for us since we are trying to create the same tags in CJA. This is not possible at the moment, since we cannot make a lookup on the tagId, to get the name(value) of the tag. How would you like the feature to work - I would like CRUD operations on segment/audience tags available through the APICurrent Behaviour - Adding tags and listing tags can currently only be made through the UI.
Description - Workfront support finally got to the bottom of why our instance consistently runs into projects scheduling over time off and not resolving itself overnight: "The work per day updates (which correlate to the Workload Balancer) are intentionally excluded due to the amount of data that the recalculation handles." The only workaround is to manually push timeline recalculations. Why is this feature important to you - This calculation limitation is debilitating when an instance handles hundreds of active projects at a time. For reasons outside of my control, I was unable to update system schedules with our holidays until December and January—well after we had preloaded 2024 work. Our capacity planning data is now skewed because we have hundreds of projects that haven't recalculated automatically to accommodate holidays. We expect automation for something like this and instead are asked to spend precious time pushing a button. How would you like the feature to work - Automatically recalculate timelines. Warn admins if automatic recalculation isn't possible and provide guidance on how to resolve the error.Current Behaviour - Despite configurations, Workfront has stopped doing overnight timeline recalculation without warning. Users must manually recalculate—and even that doesn't always adjust schedules around time off.
How difficult would it be to have the Serialized Event ID increased from 20 characters to 32 characters or more?Current 128-bit GUIDs are typically 32 characters (alphanumeric) in length, and requiring the truncation and/or trimming of characters and dashes reduces the ability to effectively ensure uniqueness as well as trust in the reliability of the process. The use of these types of IDs is a business requirement in our organization because of other dependent systems behind our processes.I'm betting I'm not the only person who is being frustrated by this particular constraint. Hoping this is something Adobe can quickly take action to support. Thanks in advance!
A nice feature would be to allow for users to expand a breadcrumb trail and keep it expanded when navigating around... keep it sticky! This would mean users would not have to keep pressing the more option to view to see the same thing!
Description - It would be great if we can have multiple goal metrics (ex- success rate of 10 buttons individually instead of one single goal metrics which counts success if anyone clicked any of 10buttons) Why is this feature important to you - In the current scenario, we can only set one goal metrics per activity, however in many use-cases we would require adding multiple goal metrics per activity. How would you like the feature to work - Would like to have the option to add multiple goal metrics per activity and to allow playing with these metrics in the A4T report to get the insights from the reports. Current Behaviour - Currently we are allowed to set only one goal metric per activity.
Description - When using Week of Year as a dimension, I'd like the weeks to default to sorting in chronological order (the same behavior as week) Why is this feature important to you - I can't build out a dashboard for clients and break out by week number, which they'd prefer, if the table is sorted by metric value. How would you like the feature to work - when breaking out by time/date dimensions, such as week of year, the dimension items should be sorted in chronological order (not by metric order) Current Behaviour - the table is sorted by the value of the first metric, leading to week numbers being jumbled up.
The creator/owner of a segment should be able to share edit access to others (not just read-only access). We have teams of analysts that share responsibility for reporting. When one of them creates a segment, their teammates can't get access to subsequently edit that segment. Example: Some time after a segment is created, an issue is identified, or a request is made to update the segment definition. Within the team responsible for maintaining the reporting, currently *ONLY* the original author of the segment can make updates to it. If they're unavailable due to workload or they're out of the office, the request can't be transferred to another team member. The owner should be able to share edit access across their team so that a peer can pick up the work.
