Hello People,   I am New to Marketo and we are been switching our Hubspot to Marketo. I am looking forward for the ways to migrate  data/records of my CRM Salesforce to Marketo. We have CSV for Leads, Contacts, Accounts in Salesforce as well as I can export from it. How can I migrate that records to Marketo. I want leads,contacts, accounts to be their in Marketo in a isolated manner. Rightnow I can only see import people option. How marketo seperates leads, contacts, accounts!

Hi all,   We have finally (finally!) set up Marketo landing pages with a useable subdomain, and I have built an unsubscribe form which sits on an unsubscribe landing page.   In my initial tests, the email address was pulling through when I clicked a link from a live email, but in recent tests it is not.   Questions: - what's the deal? - Does email prefill not work even if a lead clicks the link in an email and it goes to a MKTO landing page and MKTO form? - Can lead.email address token be used in a field in a form? (I'm also searching community forum for that answer) - Do I still need to add ?mkt_unsubscribe=1&mkt_tok=##MKT_TOK## to the end of the link?   Thanks, Lucas

Hi everyone, Is there a way to populate the Referrer URL to a custom field so we could report on that? We are trying to figure out how people land on our forms. We have UTMs for the most part but the links could be shared without UTM populated or they could organic traffic.   Thanks!  

Hi, I'm new to Marketo so I'm still trying to figure things out.   I've imported the OP-Preference Center v3 program from the Marketo Program Library to help me get started but I'm having some issues.   I've updated the unsubscribe HTML in Admin so that it directs recipients to the preference center when 'unsubscribe' is clicked in an email.  When the link is clicked, it successfully takes you to the preference center. However when the form is submitted, a new lead is created in Marketo rather than updating the existing lead. Is this expected behaviour?

Hi Community,   I've seen threads throughout the forums about identifying the First Activity for a lead but they all seemed to be either very specific to a particular program/campaign or for those who know the date/date frame they wish to search for.   While we can run filters on Latest Activity (Date only), there's no option to do so for First Activity - I'd like to identify that someone HAS a First Activity (and potentially narrow it down to things like website visit etc.). I created a custom field and automatically went for Date but realized that means I have to know when the activity happened. Any suggestions on the best way to find simply that there was a First Activity?   Appreciate any insight or suggestions! Michelle 🙂 

Hello, We have set up a custom object (account) containing multiple fields (account type, open date, balance, etc.). I need to pull the data of specific account types listed in the custom fields, however, each person record can have multiple accounts, all different types.    For example: Custom Object: Account     Custom Field: Account type = 1     Custom Field: Open Date = 5/1/2021   Custom Object: Account     Custom Field: Account type = 2     Custom Field: Open Date = 5/1/2000   Custom Object: Account     Custom Field: Account type = 3     Custom Field: Open Date = 5/1/1998   How do I pull the open date for Account type 3 only, using a token in an email?

Hello,   I am curious if there's a way to test more then one segment for emails that use dynamic content?   For example, building an email that goes to those who do not have one of the following:   - Signed up for Online Banking - Downloaded the Mobile App - Registered for paperless statements   Now, I know typically you would use one section of dynamic content, but recipients could have any combination of the three - so I have three dynamic content blocks with each one tied to one of the three. In theory it should work - but with previews I can only select one segmentation. So for example, I can only see the "Sign up for Online Banking" content and not that + the "paperless statements" section.   Is there a way to test/preview that? Or do I need to setup an actual send to myself?

Hi there, After running some email preview testing, I noticed one of our older email templates does not render that well in older desktop Outlook versions.  I have since built some new email templates using Zurb for emails that look good on all email clients.  We have several nurture programs running that are using the older template.  My question is can I update the entire template but keep the same editable regions ID's names and keep all the current email copy intact or would I run the risk of email corruption?  Anyone try this successfully?  Thanks!   -John

Hello!   I'm auditing a database at the moment, and I found this issue, I'm trying to report blank and null records on a boolean field using a smart list, but the only option that I found is to filter by TRUE or FALSE. I read that Marketo sees BLANKS and NULLS as FALSE, however I'd like to show the client something like:   Field Boolean 1: TRUE = % FALSE = % BLANKS = % NULLS = %   Bdw, it could be NULLs as well since a sync that they did recently from their system filled blank fields with the string NULL. So it's important to report that as well.   Is this possible in Marketo?   Thanks!

Hi teamI'm trying to output a custom object, but only a particular field. So let's say I have a custom object named CustomObject with the fields Name and Description. I can use:${CustomObject}To output all fields. Great. I can also use:${CustomObject.get(0).Name}To output the first record of that custom object, and the Name field. But....I can't for the life of me work out how to output the Name field for every record in that custom object. I've tried things like:${CustomObject.Name}${CustomObject.get.Name}${CustomObject.get().Name}With no luck. What am I missing here? I'm sure this can't be that hard....Thanks!

Hello! We are in the process of working with a partner to set up our Marketo instance. I am reviewing the SOW and no where does it mention operational programs.  I want to ensure we are set up correctly and need to ask him about specific programs to set up. At a minimum, what operational programs should we set up? I've looked for lists or documentation, and I don't see any. Reading some posts and from former Marketo usage, I've come up with the following. Am I missing any? SPAM Traps Country Cleaner Lead Source Cleaner Hard Bounces Soft Bounces Should there be a CRM sync one? We may only want to sync leads that meet a specific score. Duplicate Management? Hi All, So I tried to connect the Facebook Custom Audience with Marketo following this doc. I am already an admin in our company's Facebook Business Manager account, however, when I clicked on Authorize on Marketo side, which leads me to a new tab with FB url, I saw this error below in Facebook. I understand the error, and I found an old post here. I followed the steps it was mentioned in that post but I still get the same error. One thing that interests me is when I checked the URL, there is this "client_id" parameter in the URL that I'm not sure where it leads to since in our Facebook Business Manager account, I do not see that ID anywhere.   Has anyone encountered the same issue? If so, would you happen to know how to fix this issue, what client is in URL, is it the App in the Facebook Business Manager account? I have checked as well on the Facebook developer forum here, but looks like no one seems to have the right solution

I would like to understand the Marketo capability in China. Our legal team confirmed that the law - any personal information captured in China cannot leave from China.  Our AE confirmed that Marketo servers where our data is hosted in San Jose and Ashburn, VA data centers, and thus technically, we cannot use Marketo in China. My question to you is how the other global companies are dealing with this issue? What is the workaround?

Hi All,   We're new to Marketo and we have issues with the "Grab Images from Web" options in the Landing Page and Email. So there are certain website where it gives us this error "Could not access specified URL" when trying to scrape the images from it, I have been looking around but could not find any post about it, has someone run into this issue? If yes, what caused it, and how does Grab Images from Web" exactly work? Is it like a web-scraping?

Grab Images from Web (under Email Editor » Email Actions and the equivalent spot in LP Editor) is a cool tool, but it’s subject to common web security restrictions. So a page that looks fine in its own browser tab — like your own corporate site, the principal place you’d (legally) grab images from — can nevertheless return an error when you try to scrape its images from the Marketo UI:   There are a few possible causes (more than one may apply): the site requires the Referrer of image requests to match its own origin, an age-old way to block hotlinking the site requires a session cookie of some sort, even if it’s not an authenticated session the site uses other mechanisms to detect and reject spidering attempts With Grab Images From Web, Marketo’s back-end server makes an HTTP GET request to the site. We will be increasing our website form testing and I do not want this full volume to sync from Marketo to SFDC. What are best practices for managing these test people and stopping their sync to SFDC?

I was wondering if someone could help me out to solve this issue. I'm trying to find out a way to create new Leads for existing Contact in Dynamics 365 CRM.For example I have a contact "John Doe" in CRM and in Marketo (contact entity). John Doe comes to our website and submits demo request form. The Contact entity gets updated in Marketo and the CRM sync tries to update the CRM Contact entity. I would like create a new lead from this and not update the existing Contact.Logic would something like:Smart list- If data value changes (source last)Flow- sync to CRM-- if Microsoft Type is contact, sync as lead
