When linking a lead to a company, externalCompanyId is used. This means when adding a contact from CRM (via the web API), I can specify our CRM's unique identifier rather than having to find the Marketo's generated Company Id first.   Our team has created a custom Object, but cannot link to Company based on externalCompanyId, only Id. This means for each custom object, I will have to get the Id for the Company first before creating/updating the custom object, rather than specifying the externalCompanyId and allowing Marketo to handle the lookup, as is the case with leads.   Marketo's UI doesn't allow me to link based on externalCompanyId, so I though it may be possible via the API. However, the API also throws an error when trying to link with this field, although Marketo is describing it in the docs as an arbitrary string field.   Does anyone have a suggestion on how to tackle this issue? Your help would be much appreciated.

How can I set the default font as 'Din pro' for my email templates ? Is there any custom HTML code for it or we can set it by Marketo settings?

How can I set up a tagging campaign using SMS with a custom short link so that people clicking the link are taken to a Marketo page, uniquely identified, and cookied with their activity tag.Similar to an email tagging campaign, but for SMS.The main issue I think I need help overcoming is how to create custom short links that include the user's unique identifier to include in all the SMS messages.

I'm curious why my event center token is sending people to a blank webex page requesting an event id if they join too far before the webinar begins.  In webex, I have checked 'attendees can join 10 minutes before the scheduled start time" which seems to resolve the issue within those 10 minutes (the link takes them to the meeting page), which is fine, then.  However, if I join "too early" and I enter the event number I get this lovely screen full of my event information with an alert that says the meeting hasn't started yet and to please come back... I want my attendees to see that screen anytime (outside of the 10-minute window) they click my {{member.webinar url:default=}} token.Anyone else experiencing this?  Hopefully there's a secret button that I skim over every single time...Thanks!

We send one of our SMS messages using a trigger. While the message is supposed to send immediately after the triggered behavior, we can sometimes experience data delays that result in the user receiving the message in the middle of the night.  Is there any way to setup a trigger with time restrictions so that it could hypothetically only send from 9am - 7pm. Ideally users that would have received it during 7pm - 9am would just get the message at 9am.  Thank you!

Hi - I am reaching out to the Marketo Community because my team has been experiencing an issue with email tracking and page load errors for weeks.   When the radio button to "Track Link" is selected for links in any email, clicking on the live OR test email link causes this message to appear in Google Chrome, regardless of the page the link directs to -- I've redacted my company name and URLs in the image below to preserve some privacy:         I simply want to know if anyone else is experiencing this issue or if it's happening because of firewalls/proxy settings of the email recipient? This is happening to our team internally, so I am assuming it's happening to external folks who get our marketing emails.   To give you an idea of the scale of the issue, Marketo is telling me 80+ people clicked on a link in my email but Google Analytics is telling me 24 people hit the page. This is a major disparity, so I need to understand why this is happening. And, if

How would I go about setting up this logic in MKTO? I feel like i'm making it more complex than it needs to be.      I want to set up a trigger alert that looks at all records who had their lead status changed to "Working" 14 days ago and are still marked as "Working", and send a friendly alert to the sales person asking if that record is indeed being worked or not.   I created a "lead status date" field, so I have the value for the date that lead status is changed to "working". How can I use this date value to set up a trigger that sends out an alert 14 (or how many ever) days later if that value has not changed?

Hi, So we recently changed the Salesforce password of the MarketoSync Id, updated the new password and security token on Marketo. But I'm still getting this sync error. The id is not locked out either. Please help.

Hello - our team/company is curious if anyone has feedback from use cases from your companies who have gone through a major mass deletion of data/purge project with Marketo in the past (removing millions of records for database compliance/cleanliness).  For example, does anyone have advice/information to look out for when we execute this type of bulk data deletions?  Has anyone gone through this exercise, and is there any feedback you have? I'm new to Marketo and apologize if this has been asked - how do we set up a form on a landing page that will send an email to someone automatically when they click the Submit button?

Our marketing team recently started to use Slack. We completed the integration between Marketo and Slack but we can't pull Marketo Reports into Slack. Is this possible? If so, can anyone guide me on how we can set this up?   Thank you,  Jason

We can include font faces in header part, but email clients seems to ignore the header. Can anyone give clear solution for this issue.

Has Marketo introduced any changes in the way the Referrer URL is stamped on the "Fill Out Form" activity?    We use global forms to process registration for resources, webinars, etc. Many of our campaigns are triggered off of "Fills Out Form" with the constraint Referrer contains, which is where we list the specific registration page URL. I have set up registration processor smart campaigns like this for years without incident, but suddenly, I'm seeing many situations in which the Referrer URL is getting stamped as the page the person was on just prior to reaching the actual registration page. I've always known the Referrer URL to be stamped as the page from which the form is submitted. Has Marketo introduced any changes that would affect this?   I've connected with our web developers, who cannot think of any changes they have introduced that would cause this situation. My suspicion is that it is something we have done, but I need to eliminate all other culprits. A

Hi Everyone In Revenue Explorer, specifically under the "Lead Analysis" Report type, I have a measure called "Number of Leads (Converted to Opportunity)":     Does anyone know the definition of this measure? Is it: Leads in SFDC that were directly converted from Lead Object to Opportunity Object? (I'm doubting it) People that hit "Opportunity" Stage in my Revenue Cycle Model? (Also doubting this, because this is probably a standard measure, and not everyone would have an RCM with "Opportunity") Or, something else? Maybe a lead that was added to an Opportunity as a Contact Role? I really wish Marketo had better documentation, specifically definitions on the measures for each report type. I know that when you hover over the item in the tree, it displays a pop up help text that explains the dimension or measure. But, in the case of the above, it just says "Number of Leads (Converted to Opportunity)"... So no help there!   Thanks everyone Dave

Hi,    I have a PURL site with a form that contains 3 textboxes. I'd like to display the individual textboxes based on a user's record. For example, the 3 fields are...   Student Mobile Phone (I only want to display this textbox if the user's student mobile phone field is blank) Parent Mobile Phone (I only want to display this textbox if the user's parent mobile phone field is blank) Parent Email (I only want to display this textbox if the user's parent email field is blank) Is there anyway to do this?  

I sent an email to article feedback on May 18th but never heard back. I'm hoping it was missed due to a routing rule of some kind. I figure if I post here it will get the attention it needs. Hi,   we would like to start implementing web personalization via Marketo into our Drupal Website. I know you can send personalized content from Marketo towards a container with a specific id in Drupal. But are there other possible implementations? e.g. use tags on your drupal backend, and only send tags from Marketo to Drupal, and handle the rest in Drupal? e.g. work with drupal node id's in the Marketo personalised content?   Regards

We have a custom user lookup field in our Salesforce environment.  That field is integrated with our Marketo environment.  In Salesforce, that field shows the user's name, but in Marketo, the user ID is populated.  Is this a normal/expected outcome?  Is there a way to have the user's name populate without having to create a formula field in SFDC?

We want to be able to have the form fills use a jstag.send, GTM, and Lytics script that we have on hand for tracking. My understanding from docs, support, and my own experience is that any tracking script is supposed to live on the page the form is embedded on.   I was asked if there is was any way for me to place this script directly into the Marketo form itself so we can bypass our long Dev team wait to place anything on the page we embed the Marketo form on. Has anyone else found some average user (non-developer) way to do this? I know that I cannot put it in the custom CSS area since that is wrapped in <style> tags.

Hi All,   I have created a landing page with a form for people to fill out their details to request for demo. I used this landing page on LinkedIN as CTA and i was advised that there were people who has filled out the form and I believe they are not on my database.   could you please advise me how can I capture these "Fill out form" information on my Marketo program? seems like" Fill out form" smart list is not showing these new entries come from outside of database?    

Hi Marketo Nation! Is it possible to filter the 'Company' column of the Known Company Activity Report?  I'm trying to create unique reports for each of my SDRs and filter out the companies that they wouldn't cover (specifically, we have an entire group dedicated to Academic sales so B2B sales don't need to receive any of that information).  I can filter the Inferred Company in the list, but the main Company column doesn't get affected by the "Company Name" filter.  You can see in the screenshots that I've tried to take out any academic information from our Latin America SDR but it still shows in the report.     Any ideas?
