Marketo

Hi! We sent out our first few marketo emails. Previously we were using mailchimp. For both platforms, we have the sent via [platform] and have not utilized DNS setup to have the emails come from our domain. We did not have any reports of subscribers unable to open links in our mailchimp emails, but have had a report regarding our marketo email.    The person who was unable to click the links in our marketo email:  - is able to click the links in our previous mailchimp emails - is able to open the links when I send them without the marketo tracking link - the error:   Thoughts on how to fix this? Or workarounds? Perhaps making a plaintext version more easily accessible? I don't want to remove the marketo tracking, but I also (obviously) want everyone to be able to access our email links. I need to post/track multiple videos behind a single gate (form). As others have shown, this is doable though the application of YouTube API code.  To make this work right, I have to place the same code in two places:  On WordPress Landing Page that hosts the form -- Successful completion of form unhides the content including the videos On the corresponding MKTO Known Visitor page -- Returning visitors should see content (including videos) without having to complete form again Here's the problem I've run into. When I put the Youtube API code on both the WP landing page and the MKTO Known Visitor page, the Video does not show up for returning visitors (via KV code).   I can only get the videos to show up for known visitors, by removing the YouTube API code from the WP landing page. Hello We want to have the list of all contacts that are attached to an account with a specific type of opportunity in SFDC?  The filter "Has opportunity" does not work since concerns only the contact roles (people involved in the opp). Is the new filter "covered by opportunity" better for our need?Have you already used it? thanks Marina

Hi -   I need to create an Account Score - in other words, an aggregate score at the account level made up of the person scores for the contacts and leads within each account. I have seen this posted on here numerous times with recommendations to make a formula field in SFDC that will do this, but have yet to see anyone post how to actually build that formula.  Has anyone successfully created this in SFDC, and if so, can you please share the formula you used?

You can now quickly find user profiles without having to scroll through threads. Searching by users is very easy - simply type the username or full name of the person you’re looking for in the search bar.   The search results will now show a combination of Community posts and User Profiles ranked by relevancy. Within the profile search result is a variety of user information which can help you identify if this is the right person for whom you’re looking, including: Profile Photo, Profile Description, Last Login Date, Location, Job Title, and Number of Comments, Likes, and Accepted Solutions. Fields that are incomplete will be left blank in the search result.     If you would only like to see user profiles relevant to your search result, we have added a “User” filter to let you do just that. Hey all,  I'm currently working with our Sales Ops person internally regarding lead assignment from Marketo to Salesforce and I've seemed to hit a snag.   We've been using the program<>campaign sync between the two systems, so all leads at the time of creation are added to Salesforce (which we've just been adding to a queue via our LARs since they are not sales ready), but the issue I'm running across is now re-assigning them from the queue in Salesforce to an actual sales rep once they hit the lead score that marks them as marketing qualified. It seems as though Salesforce won't allow you to run a lead through lead assignment rules twice.   Just wondering what people are doing to re-assign them from a queue to a sales rep.   I guess it's also worth gauging everyone's thoughts on the program<>campaign sync in the first place? Hi,  I know the title of the post sounds almost like a dissertation (and maybe it should be 🙂 ).    To give a bit of context, the company I work for is multinational, we work with more than 20 markets. Our content is dynamic and we use a main "Country" segmentation to control this.  Several times I have come across filters in our emails that only include a subset of countries for that specific email, or also in business logic campaigns (unqualify automatically if this and that is true). What this results in, of course, is in outdated logic and a lot of different lists of countries in filters that need to be maintained, to the point where it is almost impossible to remember which country should get what or what rules should apply to what country, or more than that, simply remember which smart campaigns need updating after every request to change the business logic.    There should be a way to handle this in a more scalable / clean way. Our security team would like to access the audit trails on a daily basis using automation (bot) through API since marketo currently doesn't have a subscription option on audits. Is this even a possibility? Has any one had a similar situation, if so, how did you provide the audit trails without manually going in and dowloading them? Please advise!

I have a landing page w/ a custom Marketo form. It has the usual fields - name, company, email address... I also have a pull down field with 5 options - visitor to the landing page can select one or more options (using the control key) My question is how do I keep track of who is interested in each option? I know how to do this when related to an event, but not simply an idea. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone,   Wondering if this will work as expected. I am trying to put in a "failsafe" to sync over leads from Marketo to Salesforce just in case they aren't already in Salesforce. Will using the "Sync Person to SFDC" flow step with a choice work? Basically what I want to happen is if the SFDC Type is empty, then sync it over using auto-assign rules. If the SFDC is NOT empty, then just skip the Sync Person to SFDC flow step as a whole. I see the default choice is setting "Assign to" >>Do Nothing, does that mean it will sync but not assign the lead? Or just skip the "Sync Person to SFDC" flow step and "Do Nothing" for the flow step as a whole?

Hello,What is the difference between an email program (looks like a mailbox) and a default program (looks like a book-binder)? I'm reading other discussion threads on this but the responses are not very consistent. It seems like the default program is designed for multiple email deployments with trigger functionality while email programs are mainly designed for one-time email blasts and their reporting capabilities are more visible. Hello,   I'm attempting to change a <select> option based on the page URL. I have different hidden fields set to display based on the option chosen.   So for example... if url is /yyy/ it will change the select field option to the "yyy" one.   <select id="form-select"> <option value="yyy">yyy option </option> <option value="zzz">zzz option </option> </select>       My issue is that while the select option properly changes using (document).ready + MktoForms2.whenReady, the hidden field associated with that select option does not display. It only works properly when I manually select it using my mouse.    @sanfordwhiteman sorry to tag you, do you have a proper solution to this approach? Hi all, I've been pouring over the product documentation and how-to videos, and I'm either attempting to use a nurture stream incorrectly or I just have incorrect logic. At this point, I'm wondering if I just need to run advanced Drip campaigns or complement my Nurture Streams with smart campaigns, but that seems redundant to what the nurture stream does.  Here is our logic:   Essentially based on a click in Stream 1, they get a series of 3 emails  in stream 2. If they click on any email they are pushed to Stream 3, a click in Stream 3 moves them to stream 4, and then there is a final click/no click condition for the last email.  However, when I run test streams, I never get anything past the first email - its like the test won't move me into the next stream and send emails. This also brings up another question of mine: With multiple emails in a single stream, what dictates when they are sent? Is it once every time the stream cadence comes up? (these are all set to

I have defined a variable within the email template and want to use that variable in velocity script. Hi!    I'm looking to see if there's a way to see if our emails go into people’s inboxes vs. people’s junk folders. There are some individuals within my company who have been getting their emails sent to their spam folder vs their main inbox. This is what sparked this conversation. If there isn't a report or a way to view this, are there anyways to help improve our deliverability to ensure emails are being sent to the right inbox?   Does Marketo provide guidelines on how we can gauge that? I've seen some older discussions but haven't ran across an answer or solution yet.    Thanks!

Hi,  i am looking for possible ways to automate data imports into marketo from an SFTP location. the client has a couple of external systems which sends us files every 24 hours.  These files need to be automatically processed and added to the marketo DB ? Does marketo now have a way to support the same.

Good afternoon all. I'm playing around with a template currently and getting and odd outcome.  In preview it is fine, but when I send a sample I get this outcome. The bottom half is how it should look.  If I remove all the modules, and just leave the read online code I get a duplicate of read online one above the other.  Has anyone seen this type of behaviour before? We are directing traffic to a landing page that has a whitepaper. We would like for known visitors to click on the asset and have the blind form submit in the background to track, they will then access the whitepaper without filling the form (just on a click). For unknown visitors, we will like the form to show up so that we can capture their information. Is this possible on a non-Marketo landing page?
