I am asked to create a preference page to unsubscribe from a particular newsletter.  I created the form to include the email field and the specified newsletter that they would be removed from. I do not want them unsubscribed from future emails from the system not related to the newsletter. How do I do that? Do I place the embed code in the email to have them directed to be removed? HELP

Hi,I recently created a landing page  when I add the form it aligns left (info.cerulli.com/Web-Series-Landing-Page.html). In order to have the form centered, is this something that I do in the form settings, do I have to go back to the template code or can I change this within the landing page settings?

We have a MKTO PDF link that is being hosted (un gated) on a 3rd party landing page(unbounce). I need to be able to track clicks to this link. I cannot use the "clicks link" trigger since there isn't any tracking on the 3rd party page. Is there a way to add munchkin tracking to the URL or should I just give up and put the asset on a mkto landing page with no form (not preferred)!

Hi Community!We've been finding that unfortunately Marketo forms have pretty crappy email validation on them as default. Using the "Email" field means that a user is only required to enter an email with an "@" symbol - they don't need a period "." I have always used smart campaigns to sync to SFDC campaigns.....BUT, we want to switch to using the primary campaign sync instead. I can't figure out why when I create a brand new Marketo program and use the "create new" option when syncing the program to SFDC (to create a new SFDC campaign)....the resulting SFDC campaign does not end up with matching statuses like it's supposed to (to match the statuses from the MKTO program). I do know that I need to wait until the next SFDC-Marketo sync - the statuses are still not there after many syncs have completed, even the next day. Can anyone think of why this might be happening? I'm hoping it is just user error somewhere in my setup.

Hello, We recently started experiencing repeatedly long sync cycles between Marketo and SFDC (taking between 1 to 8 hours).We've been investigating and found that DiscoverOrg does a nightly update process to any SFDC record with a DiscoverOrg Id. That update process updates the mod stamp in SFDC every night. That mod stamp update causes Marketo to sync the record. So each day Marketo is syncing 150,000 records which is causing each sync cycle to take hours to complete. We are going through and hiding unnecessary fields from the Marketo>SFDC sync to try and speed things up, but the real issue is the frequency of updates to the mod stamp on every record.Has anyone experienced this kind of issue? Have any suggested solutions?

Hi all, We've had the ability for people from GDPR countries to request for their data to be deleted from Marketo/SFDC since GDPR kicked-in.  If they submit a form, automation deletes them from the system.  So far so good. But, some within the organisation feel that we need some way to prove (in a court of law I guess) that we have indeed deleted someone we were supposed to delete. My stance has been that if we keep a record of the details of the people we delete, then in fact we are still keeping their personal info, thus breaking GDRP.  And if we only keep a token such as their Marketo or SFDC id, then that becomes worthless as proof after the record has been deleted. How do you all deal with this issue? Thanks in advance Luben

This post states the best practices we follow in our marketo instance. Best Practices for organising in folders: Never mix the Operational Folders  with Marketing Activities Folders Always keep the seperate folders for Learning and testing and should never be mixed in with Marketing Activities. Name the folders in such a manner so that they gets arranged in chronological order automatically. Use digits for month, date instead of words (Ex. Use 08 instead of August/Aug) Always have a Archive Folder for the assets and programs that are no longer active. Folders help in grouping similar assets/programs, but often using too many folder and partitioning too much causes confusion and clutter in the folder tree. Hey! We are experimenting with Nested programs during our Free Product Trial.  We've created an Intro program, which following 2 days will add users to a stream within an engagement program.  If they spend under a certain amount of time in our free trial, we want them to go into a re-engagement stream, else they go into an engaged stream based upon their persona.  Right now our nested programs sit outside the engagement program, if we keep it this way, what do we set our cadence to?  We also have a separate program that removes a user from the re-engagement stream into the engaged/persona stream, should this be done via a transition rule? I have a feeling we may have over complicated it, so open to ideas to simplify!

Hi thereI am currently building out an email campaign, and my list of qualified leads have duplicate emails in there. This is because for this particular audience we're marketing too, they may need to use the same generic email address (info@business.co.nz). However, we need to be able to send an email to each of the leads, even if the email is duplicated.Any ideas what I can do to set this campaign up to send to duplicate emails? I am creating an html email with a few rows of table cells containing an image and a piece of dynamic content (text).Is there a way to hide one or more cells if the dynamic content is blank to avoid displaying empty cells?

Any Marketo Admin who has worked with me has heard me scold them to "Make sure to log it in the changelog!" many times. A changelog is a shared spreadsheet where you log any changes made in Marketo that have a global impact—operational programs and smart campaigns, Admin, global smart lists, and segmentation. The key to a changelog is not just what was changed, but why. You can get the what by looking at Audit Trail. But Audit Trail won't tell you why the change was made, which can the key to understanding your instance in the future. I have a trigger smart campaign based on the website visit activity for certain Marketo LPs with UTM tag. It looks like this: If you click the icon next to Web Page, it opens up the correct Marketo LP.  Now, I noticed that this smart campaign has not been catching anyone, though I knew there were some people who should have been qualified for. When I created a batch campaign "Visited Web Page" with the exactly same filters as shows above, nobody is qualified either. I updated the "Web Page is" filter with the actual URL, then voila, there are handful of people qualified. I read somewhere that referencing a LP name (not actual URL) is the best practice and even Marketo support reps confirmed it with me. Now this reality seems to be contradicting with what I've been told. Can anyone help me understand what is going on?

Does Marketo provide any advance authentication methods  beyond basic?  I was not able to find any reference to any advance methods and want to make sure I am not missing anything. Thank you.

Hi Community, Has anyone else been experiencing particularly slow syncs between Marketo Programs and SFDC Campaigns?  We have a Marketo Program with ~28k members and it has taken an unusually long time for the members to show up in the corresponding SFDC campaign.  Any one have any insight into what may be happening? Thanks,Hoi

Hi there!I'm trying to send an email alert to 4 email addresses after a lead fills out a form. This should be intuitive, but for some reason only the first and last person in my list of emails is getting the alert emails.Here's what I'm doing:IN the "Send Alert" flow step, I select the email, select "Send To:" as account owner, and then for "To other emails" I enter: "Email1, Email2, Email3"I've also tried "Email1; Email2; Email3", as well as putting quotes around each email, but no formatting has so far successfully delivered to all 4 email addresses!Any help here is much appreciated.Eric

Hi All, I need more clarification on how the opportunity data sync should ideally function.Our opportunities are currently syncing from SFDC to Marketo for the records that have contact roles associated with them, whereas in the MPI program analysis settings, I have used Hybrid Attribution.As per the Hybrid attribution, it should sync Contacts with roles if available. If none available, use all contacts in account. But we haven't observed any records which don't have contact roles available sync all contacts.Where are we going wrong here? Are we not able to interpret properly the definition of Hybrid or what should be the ideal behavior of this attribution?We want all our opportunities to sync to Marketo. Thanks

Is there anyone that currently or has used Sendoso for direct mail programs? Especially if you had it integrated with Marketo. I'm just looking for any general feedback (pros/cons) at this point.
