Hi - Quick question on communication limits. I've looked through the documentation and haven't been able to find this answer. Do the communication limits go by which email sends first or which is scheduled first? I am assuming it is who scheduled first, but just want to confirm.

Hi! First post here. Looking for some advice on how to best use Programs in the following context. We send a monthly newsletter. Presently we open a new SFDC campaign and create a new email program for each instance due to the 1:1 relationship between SFDC campaigns and programs. My ideal outcome is that multiple monthly iterations of this email newsletter could be associated with the same SFDC campaign. Is there a way to better use or structure programs to achieve this? Note that unlike a drip or nurture where the entire program is locked from the beginning, we create these newsletters ongoing and one at a time.  Thanks in advance for any advice! 

Is there any special syntax for creating a Guided Landing Page Template that can make me edit a background image?I wish I could easily insert/edit the background image on the edit draft of the landing page. Please let me know.

I'm trying to share our email marketing KPIs to the broader organization w/o requiring a Marketo login for each person. However, it seems it is difficult to try and work with Marketo data in this sort of environment. We are currently facing an issue with field name changes in our CRM. When we rename fields in Microsoft Dynamics (MSD), these changes do not reflect in Marketo, affecting our ability to use these fields in smart list filters. We have learned from support that field names are locked during integration and cannot be edited. However, due to our process requirements, we need the ability to change field names in the CRM and have these changes flow smoothly to Marketo.This functionality is crucial for our operations and should be considered a fundamental feature of the tool. We kindly request that this be implemented for our instance as soon as possible to avoid any operational confusion and ensure seamless integration.

Hey guys!I'm trying to get all records from my database where the date is the upcoming month so I can send an alert with anticipation. So, if we are in August, I want to pull all records from September, I'm using a DateTime field, and I see I can use "in time frame" option but there is no next-month value there. I also see "in future" and "in future after", but I think that will bring all subsequent months while I only need September. How are you guys doing this?

Hello,   We hosted a webinar today with 300+ registrants. After the webinar concluded Zoom passed back to Marketo that only 5 people attended and 315 were No Shows. I have confirmed that we had approx. 175 actual attendees. The 5 that I see attended were the host and the 4 panelists. I've also confirmed through our AV team that there were no issues with the webinar. Any suggestions on why this happened? 

There’s a warning in the forms docs that made an admin skittish the other day:   Was looking for a euphemism but came up short, so: this is just wrong. The number of choices you add in this dialog has no effect on form loading speed at all:   While I’m not privy to the edit history, the error is likely due to a misunderstanding. The Thank You choices can — if you have hundreds of them — slow down that particular page in Form Editor. An engineer might’ve mentioned that to a tech writer in passing.   But the choices are simply not loaded alongside the form. They’re not part of the public form descriptor (i.e. response to a /getForm call) and therefore have no effect on how long the form takes to load and render.   You can see that easily in your browser. Here, for example, are two forms that have one Thank You choice and 200 Thank You choices, respectively:   They have the same size and transfer time.   Thank You choices are only consulted upon form subm

I'm trying to track a user's journey from clicking a Marketo email to submitting a Marketo form embedded in a Webflow landing page. The form is simple, with only a checkbox for opt-in and a submit button.How can I ensure that Marketo accurately recognizes and captures this user data throughout the entire process?Specifically, I need to know how to identify the user who clicked the email, in Marketo. I see the URL has my UTMs and the mkt_tok but is creating a new record instead of recognizing who did it.Any insights or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

We noticed some discrepancies between count for Email Opened in Smart list report and Email Performance as Marketo track open activity when GIF pixel tracking getting downloaded. We found with help of smart list report using 'Not Opened' and 'Clicked link in email' filters. Question:As many email clients such as Outlook don't download images by default, if someone open their email without downloading or clicking to download all images, does Marketo will be able to capture Open activity? Is it possible for Marketo to record Open Activity in an email we sent without any images? I'd like to understand how Marketo capture Open Activity with invisible tracking pixel image?

We noticed that there are cases when invalid values are passed to filters but those are not validated. Example:- In case of this call: https://190-yef-239.mktorest.com/rest/v1/opportunities/roles.json?filterValues=test12&filterType=leadId&fields=createdAt an error is thrown by the API stating: "Invalid value for field 'leadId' and value 'test12'.- In case of this call: https://190-yef-239.mktorest.com/rest/v1/namedaccounts.json?filterValues=test123%2C1&filterType=approximateNumOfPeople&fields=approximateNumOfPeople no error is thrown and results are returned from the API. All the returned results contain approximateNumOfPeople=0 so I assume a default value is being picked up.Other than not throwin an error, this is returning invalid results.

In leads activity logs, I've noticed that often times the Email Delivered Activity occurs a few seconds BEFORE the Email Sent Activity. This has been causing issues with our Analytics team in Tableau since they would expect to see Sent before Delivered. Does anyone have an explanation for why this would happen?

When creating Marketo email templates for non-developers to use, we need to rely on them not needing to click the "Edit HTML" button to correct a color or style, and it would be preferred for them to not need to refer to a list of color codes to make sure they get it right if they resort to the color picker. We can include placeholder content in a module that has the correct inline styles and colors for an example link, where we could even use a variable in the module to allow them to select from a specific palette of three or four colors. But if they paste over the placeholder content, those inline colors or any Marketo syntax variables are lost. ex:   <strong>Bold text,</strong> <em>italic text,</em> and <a href="https://internet.c?mt={{program.id}}" style="color: ${module-link-color};"><strong>link text</strong></a>.  after pasting in their own content becomes:  The future's up to you&l

Hello, Can you limit score decay score by each scoring activity? For example, the Visits key web page (product) - gets a score of 3; they did that 3x, so they have a score of 9. After 90 days, if there is no further Visits key web page (product) activity, score is decayed by 9.

Over the past year, Marketo Engage has been rolling out email verification to customers. After our rollout correction earlier this year, the email verification status of the SSO Only users and any users having a shared email conflict were changed back to ‘Unverified’.   Today, Marketo has proactively triggered emails to any and all users who have an unverified email address in an effort to get these users ready for migrations to Adobe Admin Console and Adobe Identity. Users can access Marketo Engage with their Marketo ID regardless of email verification status until their subscriptions migrate. Hello, if any of you could advise on any of the below points that would be great!Since a few weeks, we see examples of leads that are flowing back from SFDC to Marketo - they exist in SF since a few years but are (re)created in Marketo as NEW leads. We are not sure what is the exact cause on why they flow back to Marketo - is it a data point change on a record happening in SF that syncs them back and re-creates them in Marketo? Could there be other reasons? Some of them could have been deleted or hidden from Marketo in the past, but it does not apply to all of them (we checked). After they are (re)created in Marketo, we see on ALL of them a repetitive flow "Add to SFDC Campaign" that is happening several times and adding them as members or successes to programs. I have identified that it is actually a sync happening between Marketo and SF, because when we look at their campaign history in SF, all these campaigns and their statuses match with the flow "Add to SFDC Campaig
