Hi Community,We are running into an issue where we are seeing duplicate lead records being created. Specifically, this is what we are seeing on our end:1. A lead is created in Marketo (via form fillout, list import, etc.)2. The lead is then added to a various programs in Marketo, e.g. nurture programs. 3. These programs are set up to sync directly with a Salesforce campaign. 4. A couple of days after the were created and first entered Marketo, we see a dupe record created. 5. Upon inspecting the Activity Log of the dupe record, we see that it was created in Salesforce.See attached screenshots.Any ideas on why this is happening? Is it actually related at all to SFDC campaigns or is there something else we are missing?Thanks,Hoi

1. Is there a way around to manage Munchkin code w.r.t to  EU Cookie Law and 2. how can we customize the Munchkin code in such a way so that it can trace visit web page and other click activity but not the the IP address

Happy Halloween Community friends!   I am trying to set up WebEx Webinars in our Marketo instance ahead of an impending event and am struggling REAL hard to do so. I see there is WebEx Webinars and WebEx in the LaunchPoint options - I'm using the former as that is the tool we are using.   However, when I get to the integration details screen and click on Log Into WebEx Webinars, I am taken to the WebEx page where I enter the person's information who has admin rights and get this error: This person is set up as a full admin on WebEx WEBINARs, and that log in page looks like: The Marketo documentation to Add WebEx as a LaunchPoint Service also shows that WebEx log in page so I'm assuming it's something I'm doing wrong - does this person need to be an admin in regular WebEx AND Webinars? FYI, logging in using these credentials for the WebEx LaunchPoint service gives me an error because it won't accept any of the sites that I add in (the settings are slightly different).  

Hi All, The Marketo instance I inherited is experiencing syncing issues from Microsoft Dynamics with our email campaigns. The campaign is syncing properly but the audience is not. Our previous workflow was to input the audience GUID and then that audience would auto-populate immediately. It is no longer populating at all. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is because our sync options are reflecting this: Enable Microsoft Dynamics Campaign Sync: falseI'm only about 8 weeks into my Marketo training and I still feel too new to be able to troubleshoot this alone. Support hasn't been as responsive as I would hope. Any info would be appreciated!

Hello! I have been doing more deep dives into reports. It appears we have a lot of bot activity being included in reports and smart lists (even if I use the Bot Activity < False and use is not bot activity proximity pattern). A few questions here: 1. To me, this looks like bot/spam filter activity, since it was never opened before it was clicked. Is this accurate to assume? I also often see all this activity and then at the top hours later see "opened email," which I assume is a true open.  2. If so, what is the best way to pull a list of people who have clicked on links AFTER they have opened the email to see true link clicks? I am open to all and any suggestions! Just looking to get some accurate reports without having to open each person and individually review their activities.  Thanks!

In past campaigns, we used pipes to separate the data points and then velocity scripting to piece it out and utilize it in emails. Hello, We've encountered something unusual where we're unable to retrieve the correct number of matches for the segment we've generated. We've reviewed the filters we've applied, and they were functioning properly until recently, accurately fetching the numbers.Is there currently an issue affecting this? Hi everyone,    I wanted to edit a channel for a trade show, although under "system mapping" I'm missing the fields "Invited" und "Engaged". The are not exciting in the drop down. I couldn't figure out, how to add those values as a choice in the drop down. Does anyone know?       

Hoping for some guidance in this scenario 😁 I inherited my instance so be easy on me 😂 One of the programs I'm trying to create is an Automated Renewal Reminder program that sends a reminder email 5,4,3,2 months prior to "+1 year" of the renewal date on record. (SF & Marketo are synced) The renewal date is stored in a field in the "Account" object in Salesforce.  The persons email address lives in the "Lead" object. Since the renewal date itself resides on the "Account" object in Salesforce (which is the company data), there is no direct correlation between an "Account" and a "Lead" that I can find and it's not quite clear how I should approach this. Example:If SFDC Type = Lead ANDIf Renewal Date = 1/1/2024 (from the Account record object)-----add 1 year (making it 1/1/2025) then subtract 5 months ANDSend email "X" to "Lead email address" .....and so on for the other months also.  Wondering if @sanfordwhiteman o

Does Marketo have a native integration for Instagram Lead Gen forms similar to Facebook and LinkedIn?

I'm trying to report on our monthly send volume, using the email performance report. However, I'm not sure how to select all emails with the new email selector UI. I assumed I could click on "default" at the top, but that didn't work. The goal is to all emails selected, including those from new programs created each month, where I only have to update the timeframe each time. I'm sure this is a rookie mistake, but I'm unable to find anything online.

Hi all,This may be a silly question but I'm just getting into learning Marketo, so please don't judge too strict.We are using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and team has passed me the list of GUIDs for leads and contacts (that are used in CRM as record identifier) that can be deleted from Marketo. I was sure that this GUIDs are used for linking records in both systems. But latter I discovered that there are a lot of records in Marketo that have both contact and lead GUIDs empty. As well as there are records that both have contact and lead GUIDs.I spent hours to search what is the role of GUIDs in Marketo-CRM connection, but I found nothing.I made an experiment and created person in Marketo, there was successful sync to CRM, I cleaned GUID manually in Marketo, and updated company field - the synchronization worked without GUID...So could anyone please explain me role of GUIDs for contact and lead, and are they involved in synchronization process? Or there is(are) another filed(s) that are used

Hello fellow community!   I have been looking at a lot of resources lately around forms 2.0 as we have a few use cases where we'll want to assign certain hidden field values at time of submission such as the referrer, current URL, and conversion date. I haven't been able to find a resource to explain how to add the code in a Marketo LP. Hello Community,I was hoping to see if anyone has some ideas on how we can make this work on our Marketo Forms.We have for example: Product Interest Picklist (checkboxes) with several values and are trying to find ways that if our team is marketing just one of those products on the page, can we have that specific value pre-populated on the form making it visible for when people visit the LP. This is a global form being used by multiple LPs so its not a 1:1 form to landing page. If we need to change from checkboxes to dropdown that is also an option. Or is there a way to pass hidden values for product interest during time of form submission? Whether by hidden value, tokens, or URL parameters? As this is a global form and we want to ensure that the information of the product interest is passed correctly based on the topic of the LP (since someone could potentially select another product interest value). Any help on this is appreciated.
