I would have to say the transition from the admin console to manage group permissions in Adobe Analytics has taken a significant step DOWN. The UI on Adobe Analytics, while clunky in its performance, at least gave us the ability to quickly interact with and understand the context for what choices were related to certain functionalities. There is nothing intuitive in the choices provided in the newer interface, and worse, any new user to administrating user access will have no clue what certain choices relate to in the product.Which is easier to understand, Screen A or Screen B?Screen A:Screen B:PLEASE update the interface in Screen B, which is the current configuration of the Admin Console to help us manage our associates' access more efficiently. Please provide groupings for better understandingPlease provide mouse over descriptions to aid understandingDo not reset the user to the top of the list every time they add an itemDo not reset the user to the top of the list every
Adobe Analytics User A is leaving their position. User A has created some segments and workspaces. Some of these workspaces are scheduled to be delivered to multiple people on the first of each month. Today we are able to transfer User A's workspaces and segments to User B, but not the Scheduled Projects (aka the scheduled delivery of the pdf/csv of the workspace). If a new person wants to also receive one of User A's projects on the first of the month, User B can schedule the delivery of the project. If a current recipient wants to be removed from the list, or if the report delivery date needs to change, User B cannot do so. Only the Adobe Analytics Admin can make these changes. It would be great if we could transfer Scheduled Projects from one user to another, just like workspaces, segments and reports.
It's a shame Adobe is deprecating adhoc, as an analyst, this is my favorite tool. It's clear Adobe did not survey any analysts when making this decision, and simply looked at the number of end users who had access to analytics (a majority of the employees had access, while all reports were generated by ~3 people, so of course it looks like barely anyone is using the tool). Workspace does not have the same abilities, speed, reporting capabilites, or visualizations that adhoc has. One of the reports with the biggest difference from adhoc to workspace is the flow reports. In Adhoc, end users can click on the different line items if they wish to break down the next user flow, while the flow grows, the visualization is made smaller and can be easily moved around. Workspace is missing those capabilities, it takes over the entire screen, long titles are cut off with ellipsis so it's impossible to see what they are, users can not click through or move the image around, and exporting it is not
I would like a option to choose a Report Suite or Virtual Report Suite directly from the Workspace "start page".The report suites should be placed in the left side menu, where project links are located now (My Favorite Project + Frequently Viewed Project)When i then select a report suite from the list the project listed should reflect those made/assigned* for that specific report suite.(* assigned: This is a part of the idea Assign a Workspace Project to multiple Report Suites ) As it is now, i need to first choose a project, and then i can shift report suite after. And in many cases you start working on the wrong report suite.A user/analyst would normally know WHERE (specific Website or App), he want to see data for, and then chose WHAT after that. And you would normally have multiple WHAT (project) question to one WHERE (Report Suite):But in Workspace the logic is turned around, where a user first need to chose WHAT, and then have to chose WHERE after that.I'm new to Adobe and Workspa
With everything changing over to Admin Console for user management within Adobe Analytics, it would be extremely helpful for us to have the ability to include some additional information against our users:A notes section, which would provide a centralized location and an easy documentation process for recording any important notes about a user's role as well as the justification for the role any specific user is given.A way to designate 1 or more individuals as overall lead Administrators for any certain tool, especially Adobe Analytics, because we have a number of different groups who use the tool. As a result, it make it a lot easier for us to identify a very small subset of individuals who can make decisions about the entire tool.Last, if we could also have the ability to give a user the ability to Administrate a single report suite instead of gaining Admin access to the entire tool, that would be EXTREMELY helpful and provide for a better security model. Thanks in advance!
In Ad-hoc, when applying a segment in a fallout, that segment is evaluated at every step of the fallout funnel, while in Workspace, it does not when applying the segment to the panel or fallout. To get Workspace fallout to mimic Ad-hoc's fallout rules, you would have to apply the segment in-line for every step of the fallout, which can be a pain. To resolve this, I would like to see an option in the fallout settings in workspace that would allow the segment to be evaluated at every step. See below.
I know there is a Refresh Project option, but a Refresh Panel would be a useful addition. Sometimes when I change something in a panel, it produces an error for that panel, i.e. it doesn't update. When I hit Refresh Project, it pulls in the data, but it also updates panels that I do not want updated since I haven't made any changes.
Take for example a simple segment where Visitor viewed 2+ Page Views When the segment is applied to table the condition is based on the time frame on the calendar and not the row (with date dimention/metric). Would like to see an option or be able to restric the sement timeframe to the row as this would allow us to see trend for the specified segment without having to create reports for individual time frames. eg. Show trend of Visitors who viewed more than 2 Page Views by month over last 13 months.
As a company with a large number of users and thousands of custom segments; we are experiencing performance issues Segment Manager and connecting to Report Builder due to the large volume of segments that have to load for these applications to initiate. Idea:Provide a column in the Segment Manager allowing us to sort our segments by date of last use. Last use would provide the date that this segment was last utilized in the Reporting API by all analytics products (Reports & Analysis UI, Report Builder, Data Warehouse, AdHoc or the API). With this feature, we could safely delete segments that are not actively in use regardless of when the segment was created or edited. I have for example a segment that was in a report that was delivered via Report Builder to my inbox this morning shows a “Date Modified” in the Segment Manager of “Aug, 18 2015”. That date is accurate as in that was the last time I created or saved the segment; but in this case I would like to see "Last Use Date"
It would help to be able to download the lookup files, to have a quick look at the data.In certain cases, the Datafeeds are not required at all, and for just the lookups, need to go through the hassle of procuring an FTP server, setting it up and then having the single file which was required.-Hyder
Background: - There is no option to manipulate values stored in list variables in Processing rules Requirement :There is a need to enable list variables to be manipulated by Processing rules (eg clear or set values)
Background: 1. List variables are like eVas persistent by nature2. There is only 3 of list variables avalable per report suite3. There are growing numebr of use cases for list variables and they need to be reused more & more often Issue:When list varialbels are re-used the old values are being passed into new reports Requirement /:There is a need to enable RESET values option for list variables that would allow to delete all previous values stored in the cookies associated with the variables. This functinality is currently available for all eVars. Can it please be gtransffered to the list variables as well
Working with complex segments and calculated metrics that contain many nested containers and may take a few screens, it's quite often when I move or add something into a wrong place. Sometimes the recovery may take longer than making everything from scratch. The Undo feature (Cmd+Z, Ctrl+Z) would be extremely helpful if supported in the Metric Builder and Segment Builder UI.
Currently, anyone looking to build marketing links in the Mobile Marketing Link Builder must have admin access to Mobile Services. In practice, that means that either someone on the analytics team has to build the links (which can lead to bottlenecks), or the marketers must have admin access to Mobile Services, which brings some risk as there's additional access. Can we add a level of access to build mobile marketing links without requiring Mobile Services access?
I know I can use the flow tool, but I want to pull in Next Page as a variable in a workspace dashboard.
I would love to have a global Instances metric (as the global Visit metric) or Event Instances metrics available in Calculated Metrics Builder. Here is the business case I would like to share: For our customer, we would like to calculate average values for some events. For example, we set the NUMERIC event “Deposit Amount (EUR)”, but no additional eVar (since there are only 100 eVars available) and no additional counter event. Please see below an example on how “Deposit Amount (EUR)” is calculated for July 12:User 1: Deposit Amount = 100 EURUser 2: Deposit Amount = 200 EURUser 3: Deposit Amount = 300 EURFor July 12, the event “Deposit Amount (EUR)” would show 600. Consequently, I would require the Event Instances (in this case 3 Instances) for the metric Deposit Amount (EUR) in order to be able to calculate the average. I would like to use the following calculation:Deposit Amount = Deposit Amount (EUR) / Deposit Amount (EUR) InstancesUnfortunately, the “Deposit Amount (EUR) Instances”
There should be a feature that let's you add notes and events to charts and graphs, so you can remember specific events during quarterly or annual reviews.
At the moment, the region data for the UK isn't actually region data. Our marketing team keeps asking us for data segmented by regions but we can't provide that at the moment. If I look at a report of regions (with visits as the metric), I get a long list of cities and councils in the UK but no regions. It would be good to have a proper breakdown and ideally a total of three categories: 1)Region 2)Counties 3)Cities.1. Region would be, areas like North East England, South East England, East Midlands etc. This is a fairly standard breakdown you get in the UK (Regions of England - Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ).2. Counties would be areas like Essex, Greater London, Devon etc. This is the equivalent of States in the USA. Again, this is fairly standard UK data (List of counties of the United Kingdom - Wikipedia ).3. City would be areas like London, Manchester, Birmingham etc. It would be important to not include councils in here like is currently the case. For example, the
Currently our optout.html page (https://smetrics.solarwinds.com/optout.html) has mixed content on it (http and https). example: the <img src="http://assets.omniture.com/en/images/skins/default/transformation/002251.global.logo.oms-mark.152x63.png" width="152" height="63" border="0"> is http and not https. In an effort to become GDPR compliant we need to ensure our visitors have the option to opt-out from being tracked by Adobe Analytics. The resulting optout.html page needs to be https as the rest of our site is https. We would like the optout.http page to be 100% https if possible, or for an option to go either way. Thanks,Damon
If a calculated metric is used within another calculated metric, the nested calculated metric does not retain a link to the original. Instead the nested calculated metrics is a copy of the original. This means if the original calculated metric is changed the nested calculated metrics is unaffected.Current behaviour:Caculated metrics 'A' is nested in Calculated 'B'Calculated metric 'B' actually contains a copy Calculated Metric 'A'When the original Calculated Metric 'A' is changed the copy within Calculated metric 'B' is unaffectedTherefore, when calculated metric 'A' needs updating it is necessary to change the original metric and every copy individually (inefficient)Please can you consider making nested calculated metrics retain a link to the original to prevent us having to make changes in multiple places?
OverviewThe 'performanceTiming' plug-in is extremely useful; however, the conditional logic triggering its s.performanceWrite function should be more robust.DetailThe s.performanceWrite function (which calculates the performance timings and writes them to a cookie) is triggered as part of an interval timer; however, the interval timer relies on the performance.timing.loadEventEnd attribute being equal to 0 for the interval timer to be started, and if the plug-in is loaded with a delay of a few seconds, the loadEventEnd attribute may already be greater than 0 - as a result, the s.performanceWrite function is never called.SuggestionOne solution is to include a flag that is set to true as part of the s.performanceWrite function executing; while this flag is false, s_doPlugins will repeatedly attempt to run the s.performanceWrite function.
I created a VRS and hand picked the different elements to put inside. I was quite surprised that the Activity Map doesn't work for those type of VRS. It would be nice that it works as it can be very useful to use VRS as main report suite for basic users. Also when creating a new metrics, it is quite misleading to use the segment as they are marked as "not contained in the ...VRS name."As I know that I hand picked them, they are contained but basic users are misleaded. I would be nice to have this kind of selection fixed so the users can
Hi,I have created a report builder template using a report suite where I have enabled every variable (prop, eVar, list var...) which I wanted to use to audit across our main report suites, verifying that each variables are capturing the data that I expected. Unfortunately, I have now learned that Report Builder will throw an error when a variable was not enabled for that report suite, making the main use of the template unusable.I would like to see Report Builder just skip or return back "variable not enabled" instead of throwing an error. As it is already catching this and showing a pop-up when a variable is not enabled, it shouldn't be any harder to let the request run and return a value indicating the variable is not enabled.ThanksAndrew
Hi,My company has an IP restriction to ensure that the users only access the tool using the company network. The idea of this request is to whitelist administrators independent of the IP that they are using.
Today it is not possible to assign admin rights that only covers an individual report suite, which introduces a couple of challenges for companies that do not have a central administration team. Here are the options that I am aware of:1) Give everyone with 'admin needs' full admin rights. This introduces way too much risk in my opinion.2) Central admin team to retain all tasks that require full admin rights and implement internal intake process for sub-admins. Lots of overhead for little value... Also not practical in many situations where you need full admin rights to even understand what needs to be done (perfect example would that admin access is required to see what mobile parameters are available to map to props/evars in the Mobile Services admin screens.3) Implement new log-in company for each admin user group. Not ideal because it makes it difficult for end users who need to report on multiple report suites to know which 'company' to find their data in.Suggestion:1) At a minimum:
