Requesting functionality of being able to copy Portfolios and Program folders within them. Maybe a template for Portfolios?
Currently we cannot set expiry values for individual API keys generated on Workfront, please include a feature to allow this.
When a Project's status is changed to Cancelled, everything seems to point to the fact that the project is done with. As per the system setup, this status equates with "Dead". However, the "Actual Completion Date" is not filled for that project. It is also left blank for the originating issue, when the project was converted from an issue. This causes confusion in reports when cancelled projects are analyzed, because there is no record of an actual completion date. Please fix this.
The ability to show or hide header items (Percentage Complete, Project condition, Project Owner,Custom Field data, etc) based on:User prefLayout templateGroup or teamNWE added back Project Condition where originally is was removed and only accessed through Project Details. This was a great sample of hiding a header item.
When exporting to a Project XML the task planned hours are exported but not the task's actual hours. I'd like to see this functionality added.
Wouldn't it be great to have a clone feature for marketo custom objects - using which we can re-create a similar CO quite easily and quickly. 1. When you forgot adding a link field - you cannot edit a CO to add a link field once it is approved - Quick cloning and adding required link field would be great to have. 2. If you are making a similar CO for some other use case as you might not want to share a single CO space for 2 different use cases - It would be great to have a clone feature in such scenarios 3. CO allows 50 fields - in-case you have alot of fields it is quite cumbersome and error-prone when you want to create a new CO with same/similar fields to already an existing CO. It is not a must have feature but it would definitely be a good add-ons and indeed a blessing for the folks who are working regularly on Custom Object.
When you are assigning a task and begin to type a name, the list below shows the names as "Joh...Doe" for example. You then have to hover your mouse over each name to make sure you are selecting the correct one. (Same exact issue with typeahead fields as well - https://one.workfront.com/s/idea/0870z000000XhbAAAS/detail)
When I go to the New Requests page there are lots of choices available. I could go down many paths searching for the right place to put my request. I would love a way to tag the Request Queue Topic, when I find it, as a Favorite, so when I need to make a similar request again I can go right to it. I mean right to the place where I fill in the form and click Submit. Just put a star icon somewhere that I can click on and see this in a section with my other favorites, like projects and reports.
Ability to create a custom form field in a single line of text format where when a user is entering content into this field, WF can automatically identify upon saving if the value entered in that field is unique. This would be helpful for scenarios where a team is working in a shared application external to WF and uses WF as a data-entry "source of truth." Since a team is using the shared external application, having a unique identifier type field provide an error/response if the item is not unique, this would ensure duplicate items aren't added into WF.
I want to add job skills to each user so I can more granularly assign resources (beyond just job role(s)).
Is there a way to include a sort function in the notifications window? Lots of users in our environment leave notifications unread but when they are ready to access them, it's not easy to find.
It's impossible for us to keep on top of CMS changes, and when using the VEC this can have wildly unexpected results when a change occurs to the page and the content authors can't test the page against all experiences being applied to the page.In the activity list/browser, we should have an easy way of identifying all active activities where the VEC is in use and there has been a change to the page/selectors and re-validation or adjustment is required. Alerts would also be highly useful.
In the new WF Experience you have a very handy summary box on the right of the tasks. It's a useful box that some of my users like to use BUT it closes itself when moving from project to project. Can we have a 'Pin sidebar' option on the top of that sidebar and have that user's browser remember if it is open or closed please?Right now it is a good feature that we rarely use just because it keeps closing itself. ThanksChris
We have started a bit of work to move from DTM to Launch, and came across an issue when setting up the Adobe Analytics extension. When we are setting up the library and we select “manage library for me, we don’t see any of the reporting suites as an option to select.Eventually worked out that the you can type the reporting suite's name, but would be great if it was populated as it is on DTM (The select report suite icon is already there, but its blank when you clock on it) Thanks
I have a hard time believing there isn't already an idea post for this, but I did look. It would be wonderful if the Adobe Analytics extension could use the API to pull down variable/event names- something like this:This would help so much with making sure data element are aligning with the correct variables (and that variables are enabled, etc).
If you have a lot of rules, it would be great that you could enter either tags or put them in a certain folder in order to categorize them.
I often reference data elements in custom code through _satellite.getVar. I'll be in the middle of writing custom code and realize I need a value from a data element. Since I have a lot of data elements, I'll have to leave the rule entirely, find the DE I'm looking for, and copy the name. I would like to pipe data elements directly into custom code with a selector similar to the way variables are set. Selecting a data element would insert it into custom code through the %dataelement% syntax or satellite.getVar syntax
Currently I need to have my PM have access to edit financial information. This means that they end up being able to see what an hour costs. While a user's specific hourly rate can be hidden, the cost information cannot be. This means for an hours report, it is very easy to determine what someone's hourly rate is, in turn, it makes it very easy for someone to determine how much someone makes.
Scenario plans lend themselves very well to making high level leadership decisions about which projects to do when. However, to get the point across a good visual is important. It would be extremely helpful to be able to print or export to PDF. Currently the only option is to screenshot the page
In many long term projects, resources are allocated very differently in different phases. We use milestones for those phases. If the milestones came in with the project import or if we could add those milestones and be able to allocate resources separately to each milestones it would make the scenario planner exponentially more useful. We would then be able to have a fairly accurate picture to be able to predict resource allocation needs.
With the addition of time off calendars, we have begun using them to collaborate on availability. A challenge we face is that only planners and admins are allowed to add events to the calendar. It would be a huge help to allow workers to also add these custom events to calendars.
In many areas of workfront the fields are type ahead fields. This is not intuitive and assumes that you have a level of setup understanding to begin typing. A good example of this is in the layout template field when creating a new user. It would be super helpful if this was a drop down//
Each notification setting in Proof Viewer needs to be changed individually, and there's no option to set the notification from daily summary (which is the default) to any other settings when adding a group of reviewers to review and approver. This should be part of the upload process so an admin can make a global adjustment to the newly added users instead of 400 individual changes.
Make the Work List more interactive by making tasks removeable (or able to hide) when complete. Making sure it's easier to tell when a task is complete - especially for people who's only job is to review and approve. If the Work List is supposed to help people manage their projects, than it should have more interactive and personalizing type features.
Does anyone know of a why to change the width of the left navigation bar on many of the pages in the New Workfront Experience? For example, on the Dashboards page for all of my Layout Templates, every Dashboard name is truncated to 15 characters. (see attached image). Same for the Projects page, and others. It would be nice if we could dynamically resize these, or configure a different width for these pane so our users wouldn't have to hoover over each item or access them to see the full name
