I would like WF to have the ability to automatically display the total on hold time a project has been on (in days). This will help us to track and monitor how long a project has been on hold and determine if it should be cancelled or not. Thanks, Nick
Under 'person actions' - it would be super helpful to be able to call a webhook directly. Current state, I have to create a campaign to call the webhook, and then request that campaign, when testing a webhook.
It would be super helpful to have the ability to create a Dashboard that features External Workfront One Pages. For example, create a Collaborator/Requestor Layout that contains a Dashboard which displays the Collaborator Training Page from Workfront One. This is currently not possible because, as Support shared with me, the "Workfront One site currently attaches an X-Frame-Options header that prevents the page from being embedded in an iFrame for security reasons". It would be ideal if this restriction could be removed.
Some users do not want their work list to be sorted by anything so would prefer a 'None' option to be added to the Sort By list
We are really struggling with having to filter to only see the list of tasks we need to approve. We much preferred the separate tab for Approvals in the My Work area and it takes extra clicks to view just approval requests. We also need it to be clearer which is an approval request and which are approvals i've submitted.
I would like to see a feature where the user and admin can set which days email notifications are being sent. For example, the user can choose to not receive notifications on the weekends. Instead those notifications can be saved to send on a different day or in a daily digest.
When you use an inactivity filter like has not visited webpage, the only criteria to use when you can type english is "in past 3 months". Need to add in "past before" like for an active time base filter. IE visits web page is any is in the past before 10 minutes. It is easier to bucket leads for the purpose of actinng n what leads to attach first. .
I would like to be able to centrally manage a rule/data element and have the change automatically distributed across multiple properties. We are managing several properties and have found that we have many common rules/data elements. When we change how we want them to work we have to manually edit each individually or do a lot of copying between properties. I would envisage a separate area to manage these common rules/data elements. Within each property, there would be an option to add a centrally managed rule/data elements. If a centrally managed data element was added to a property it would appear read only, apart from the ability to delete it.
The table of events is rather big and difficult to read. I would like the ability to highlight specific parameters, such as pageName, linkName, events and products for Analytics calls for example.Ideally it should be configurable, but a pre-configured highlight of the above-mentionned parameters would be great!
We have an integration with out timekeeping system. We need go be able to track custom fields based on hour entries. This will allow us to manage multiple budgets within the one project.
Is there a plan to allow the Calendar Events function to be used within Workspace Projects.
In the event a small subset of values is unclassified in the reporting interface, it would be extremely efficient to be able to re-define the value(s) on the fly from the reporting interface. The thought would be to simply right-click on a reporting value or set of values and opt to "re-classify" while viewing a report rather than navigate to the classification importer interface, export the tables, then re-import the tables. Perhaps clicking on the text value would display a text field on the same report page wherein one could define or redefine text values freely. Granted, this would likely need to be a function available to admin users to avoid misuse.
Currently, we have a custom integration workflow that consists of automatically creating folders in a SharePoint Document library with Event Subscriptions. However, there is no API functionality that allows us to then create the linked folder in Workfront, so it is a manual and tedious process. The functionality exists in Workfront's internal API, but it is not externally supported. Please make this functionality external and visible to the users.
When viewing multiple projects (or Portfolio View), the gantt chart should be left justified and closer to the Project Names or tasks, not right justified.
I miss being able to archive projects in Workspace which I know I won't be needing in the foreseeable future, but might need again later on. Sometimes projects are complex and time consuming to create, so archiving them for possible later use would be helpful. Also, as projects grow, tags and title are not enough to keep them organized. Folders in my view would be a great solution to this problem. For example: Marketing projects, Performance projects, Development projects. These are arbitrary names which of course I'd be able to set myself, but give them here to illustrate possible uses for folders.
Currently all users in an instance with the appropriate rights receive notifications for any errors, failures, exhausted content, etc.. Every user needs to manage these notifications within their own login. It would be great if a notification can be marked as read / removed from the list if another user has already dealt with it. That way you would remove unnecessary effort in coordinating whether notifications have been handled and keeping the list for your own user profile clean. So would it be possible to make the notifications list shared across users?
Right now you can only report on record counts and numbers for graphs and matrixes. You can do a CNT (Count) and DCNT (distinct count) on strings but these don't appear in graphs or the summary. Please allow users to Count strings and include this in a report. A common use case is to see the numbers of projects that a particular worker has worked on in the past month whether or not they are complete. You could do this in an hour report but you'd need to use dcnt to get the proper number of projects.
Can all the customer messages that go out from a proof be then listed in the updates? It would be great to keep track of those messages in the updates.
When dashboards are added to layout templates, there is currently no way to find this association unless you use the "Login As" feature and visually scan each tab of each layout template and make note of the dashboards. From Workfront: "Currently, we do not have a report that would be able to provide you with what Dashboards are Associated to which Layout Templates. The best way to verify what Dashboards are currently active on a Layout Template would be to login as a user that is assigned to the layout template. " This also cannot be reported upon, as Workfront stated above. We should be able to report on this, and we certainly should be able to see which dashboards have been added to a layout template after they are added. The below layout template has a dashboard already added to this tab, but nothing is visible on the tab when choosing the layout template under the Setup menu:
When an extension Upgrade button appears it's not clear for what enhancements should be anticipated. Let the extension developers to provide information about each version and display it next to the Upgrade button so the extensions users will understand what features and bug fixes the upgrade brings.
Add the "Add Filter Rule" to Workload balancer and Resource pools. The ability to add robust filters in these areas cuts down the need to create additional items such as teams in the tool. THe other resource areas have this ability and it is not consistent across the tool.
Currently a user can modify marketing rules, fully configure report suites, but they cannot expire marketing channel reporting without being a product administrator. Given that the expiration of marketing channels happens at a report suite level, it shouldn't require product level administration. Can this permission be included with normal marketing channel access?
Once a project is complete, we should be able to prevent anyone from deleting final document / proof. It could be a manual trigger to block deletion of a specific/all document or an automatic trigger based on project status (=complete) or if assets have custom forms attached (for integration purposes for example). the idea is to make sure that once projects are final, no-one is deleting documents and associated approval history.
Enable auto filter when Document Approval Report is added to a tab on a Project - so only Document Approvals for that project will appear.
Please include preview text of each update in the daily digests. The daily digest emails about project communications is just the projects that have updates and the number of updates. Users are then required to click through into each project and navigate to the updates to read them. The links in the emails don't even direct to the update sections just the project homepage.Workfront is able to provide text previews in the Global Discussion updates why is this functionality in ALL daily digest emails? Please fix!
