Authors: Navin Chaganti and Jenny Medeiros The following is a practical overview of why we transitioned from Amazon Redshift to Snowflake to streamline Adobe Audience Manager within Adobe Experience Platform. Marketers use Adobe Audience Manager to seamlessly collect and merge data from multiple sources, build meaningful audience segments, and deliver customer-focused experiences in real-time. Behind the scenes of this powerful data management platform, trillions of batch and real-time data are processed every single day. Back in 2016, we selected Amazon Redshift to handle this hefty task. But, with the exploding demand for data-driven insight, this solution began to stumble in the race to provide the scale, speed, and flexibility needed to serve our growing customer base. Heavy workloads often bled into the weekends, resizing clusters was a recipe for downtime, and there was virtually no time left for maintenance. To remedy these setbacks, we moved from Amazon Redshift to Snowflake –
Authors: Kalaiyarasan Venkatesan, Jirilmon George, Prabhav Bhatt, Abhaya Thakur, Michael Henry, Scott Segrin, and Jody Arthur In this post, Adobe Experience Platform offers a sneak peek at the Campaign Activation Tool it is developing to provide bidirectional integration between Adobe Experience Platform and Adobe Campaign Classic. Adobe Campaign Classic is one of the most powerful go-to products used by enterprise marketers to deliver a personalized experience to their targeted audience. Adobe is working to extend the robust capabilities that Campaign Classic provides for extensive cross-channel engagement by developing a custom package that allows for bidirectional integration with Adobe Experience Platform. The new Campaign Activation Tool will empower marketers to leverage the 360-degree view of the customer
Authors: Charles Menguy, Vidit Bhatia, and Jenny Medeiros This post describes our innovative audience segmentation service and how it empowers Adobe Experience Platform customers to easily explore and understand their audiences for effective targeting. With the exponential influx of data and the growing customer expectation for tailored experiences, marketers can no longer heap an entire audience into a single bucket. Segmenting these audiences provides some guidance, but traditional segmentation based on age, gender, and income fails to take into account customers moving from device to device and channel to channel. Adobe Audience Manager is a leading data management platform that reimagines audience segmentation. It enables modern marketers to seamlessly collect data from multiple sources, build focused audience segments (or clusters), and follow their customers’ journey to deliver relevant messaging in real-time. It still, however, requires manual input to create each segment, alon
Authors: Sunish Verma, Meenalochini Balasubramanian, and Jody Arthur Enterprises today are amassing a tremendous wealth of customer data yet most continue to struggle with using their data to its fullest potential. This post describes how Adobe Experience Platform was able to help large enterprise customers better leverage its data and its mobile app to send personalized messages to customers in real-time on their mobile devices. With its integration of the platform's Journey Orchestration Service with a third party application in the company's existing tech stack, the moment customers initiate a triggering event within the app, such as watching a video or abandoning and a sports event in progress, they now receive personalized messages in real-time to deepen or reestablish the engagement. This blog details a single implementation or customization on Adobe Experience Platform. Not all aspects are guaranteed as general availability. If you need professional guidance on how to proceed, t
I'm working on a project that I think was originally created in 6.3. I don't think everything was fully updated to work in 6.5. They had some custom authoring forms for managing some assets stored in /etc/assets/[project] using scaffolding and some overlays. For some reason they work in the dev, UAT, and Stage servers but not in my local instance. I have upgraded my local instance to 6.5.9 to match the versions running on dev and uat. The editors do not work in my local for some reason. I can place the URL in the address but a blank page is displayed instead of the list of assets or the asset settings. Are there patches I need to apply?

We'd ideally like to talk to those of you on teams that are using a variety of Adobe products--Marketo, Analytics, Adobe Creative tools, etc. Sessions are 1 hour. If interested, please sign up for the study here: https://calendly.com/wf-product-research/team-work-and-collaboration @Jeremy Flores‚ @Brooke Bell‚ Thanks, Elissa
Calculating Customer Acquisition Cost In this post, we will use the “Cost Tracking” sheet as an example of where we need to use Zapier to loop through a list of items and carry out an action for each item. In a typical marketing team, a sheet like the “Cost Tracking” sheet will be updated at the start of every month to map all the ad campaign costs from their various marketing channels from the previous month to the corresponding program that tracked the leads generated from this campaign. Therefore, the objective of the Zapier automation workflow is to update each of the programs listed in this sheet with their respective costs so that the cost of acquiring a lead can be calculated. Importing Ad Campaign Costs from Google Sheets Now that we have the programs and costs collected nicely in Google Sheets the first task that needs to be done is importing this information into Zapier. As explained in

When using the Core Component "Container" is there a way to restrict the width of the content area, which in turn, will affect the width of the AEM Layout Grid?See attached screens for current vs. desired results:vs.This can currently be achieved by placing one container in another container, but that is not elegant/ideal. The width is being set by putting "max-width:1200px" on the .cmp-container class.Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated!

Coles improves customer experiences online and in-stores with Adobe Experience Manager Sites by Adobe Abstract Over the past decade, digital has dramatically changed how people shop. Online sales have grown rapidly, and consumers continue to follow the social media accounts of their favorite brands to get the latest news and offers. But research has also found that 78 percent of purchases will still be made in stores until 2024. That means that understanding how to bridge the gap between online and offline experiences will continue to be a critical question for retailers. For leading Australian retailer Coles, digital is a critical part of the company’s commitment to both customer service and sustainability. Coles is best known for its supermarket and convenience-store brands — two areas where in-store shopping is the norm. But digital plays a major role in how Coles connects with customers, from keeping them up-to-date on store hours, to sharing the latest promotions, to bridgi
How data is shaping the future of marketing and customer experience by Adobe Abstract Marketers and analysts have spent a great deal of time over the past few years analyzing changes in behavior as customers move from physical to digital commerce channels. There are several developments that require marketers to change the way they practice customer identification, segmentation, and engagement — and the first step is getting to know your data. While it is important to understand these changes to deliver a better customer experience, it is also helpful to take a step back and look at how the change in customer behavior is creating a cascade of changes in the marketing space itself. Specifically, we are seeing several developments that require marketers to change the way they practice customer identification, segmentation, and engagement. CMOs, marketing professionals, and other leaders who understand and plan for these changes will be in the best position to gather the resources

AEM Cloud Service - React SPA Runtime Include Pages (Fragments) by Merging Models by Sreekanth Choudry Nalabotu Abstract Goal AEM Cloud Service 2021.10.5940.20211013T233531Z-210900 This post is on creating AEM React SPA Html fragments and including them in multiple SPA Pages. What is a period cost?Period cost is a Marketo term that refers to the amount spent on a program. This amount is defined by the Marketo user in the Setup tab of a specific program. Information on how to add the period cost can be found on the Marketo Community. Why do we need period costs?Period costs are important for reporting in Marketo for a couple of reasons:The default behavior in Marketo is to only show programs with period costs in Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) reporting. If you do not put a period cost in the program Setup tab, you will be missing valuable information from your reports. Note that you now have the ability to override this default behavior at the Admin > Channel level as well as at the individual program level if desired. However, there are still other reasons you should include period cost in your programs, as explained below. The Program Cost Analysis, Program Opportunity Analysis, and Program Revenue Stage Analysis reports in RCA have cost-related options fo
