It's nice that you can download and replace an HTML email, but it would also be nice to be able to download the text version of the email and be able to replace the text content version.
I just found out that the requirement for the standard Marketo fields: Acquisition Program and Acquisition Program Date are dependent on the contact filling out a form that is in the program, and a landing page that is in the program. All of our forms are in the design studio since we use the same form for many landing pages, which is best practice.I suggest that Marketo make the requirement for the acquisition program fields to be only dependant on the landing page that is a local asset in a program and any form fill.
Would it be possible to add html as a type of My Token? It would be great to utilize and access an html block for the updating of landing page lengths across multiple landing pages within one program due to content updates that are also being populated via My Tokens. For example, for a client's webinar series we offer 10+ landing pages (same content- different branding and tracking) due to separate partner sponsorships. It would be great to only have to update one html block to extend the length of all 10+ landing pages if a new webinar is added to the series, etc.
Hello,Unfortunately we had several issues when users mixed between 3AM and 3PM, so emails were sent at the wrong time :(I asked Marketo support to be able to change to 24H platform, and was shocked to be answered that Marketo DOES NOT support that.I think it's very important, mostly in AMEA, which is barely using AM/PM so often.
I want to be able to contact my leads via telephone and follow up with an e-mail, change their lead score ect. based on their response in the call. Is there an easy/ automated way to do this? For example, if they stay on the phone for a certain number of minutes, what is the easiest way to increase their score to reflect this?
I have emails that have a few links sometimes and it would be nice in the email reporting to see which links were clicked. Like if there was a way to tag a link as "link a" "link b" etc. I am not sure if this exists already
Only supports English, German and French languages, I request that you focus on improving your range of languages to support others, especially to deal with other European states and BRIC countries.
I feel the change in acquisition program and date data values is given and should take place in the background in any program. I have been manually placing these in the flow. I cannot think of a situation where I would not want to do this. Should I wish to remove this feature I think it makes sense to address that in the flow. Just a thought. Thanks!
I would love to have a dashboard inside Marketo that showed when all upcoming programs, email campaigns, events, automated drips, etc. were scheduled to run.As a digital marketer that is managing multiple global campaigns and processes at the same time, this would make life much better. It may not be as good as finding a golden ticket in a wonka bar but it would be a good start.
I'm using a WebHook to post lead info to an external RESTful API upon successful form submission. This works perfectly...almost. Because RESTful APIs are URL-based, the information is assumed be come through as URL-encoded. Certain characters have different meaning when URL-encoded. For example "+" means a blank space. Some users filling out my form have legitamate "+" in their emali address (e.g. "name+last@email.com"), which are getting interperted as blank spaces by the 3rd party app (e.g. "name last@email.com"). I would like a way to process the lead data before it makes it to the Webhook. Basically, I'd like to pass the webhook template a version of lead.Email Address that has been passed through javascript's encodeURIComponent function. I hope this is clear, and that there's an answer to this. thanks, Mark
It'd be great to be able to have the personal webinar access url token populate in ics files/be able to create ics files within lead management.
Similiar to "remove from flow", there should be a flow step that says "pause from flow" which temporarily suspends a lead from the campaign, then waits for a particular action to trigger "resume flow" from the point at which the "pause fom flow" occurred. This would be useful for many things, but one example might be when a lead is prematurely removed from a nurture campaign, and you want to put that lead back in the nurture campaign but not start them from the beginning. I can think of a couple work arounds for this, but they would be ridiculously time consuming and complex. If there is another way to do this I don't know it.
While I hate to mention the competition, there is one that is doing this and we found it beneficial. It's the notion of a data card or data set that can be related to the individual for keeping track of multiple items without creating multiple fields. An example would be contract information - an individual may have multiple contracts each with unique identifier, expiration, etc. It would be nice to be able to associate this set of information to the user but not have to create fields for Contract 1, Expire Date 1, etc. that is visible at the root for all leads.Another instance is promotions where they are responding and selecting a fulfillment item, would be nice to have this associated to the individual similar to contracts instead of endless fields on all leads. It simply scales in a different direction.
I know many of us may change companies, it would be nice if there was some way to be able to have the points/badges/discussion subscriptions follow us or be transfered from our previous company to a new company. It is a bummer to switch jobs and start back at 0 on the community.
I was setting up a trigger campaign to add to a list & send an alert every time a particular link was clicked on. I sent myself a test email and I clicked on the link and nothing happened. I contact support and was told that triggered links don't work when in a test email. I set up a campaign to send the email to myself and then the triggered campaign sent the alert and added me to the list. Why can't a test email trigger on a link? when I test registration forms, that trigger campaign works. I think this functionality should be added
When customers click the tweet button in social the URL is ugly....example belowI found CS Time Clock for an employee time clock http://demo.tnalite.com.au/CSTimeClock-Makingemployeetimecollectioneasy.html?mktNetwork=twitter&ltok=_mch-marketodesigner.com-1354562268703-22964 via @petermorrisseyCan we automatically shorten the link? we need to tidy this up even the Marketo pages I referenced looked uglyThanks for speedy solution
Hi,We have tested the iPad app in France (and soon in the US) and this is pretty cool. My UK colleague who owns an Android tablet is asking if this app will be available for Android?Cécile @ Talend
It's possible to create dynamic email content based on field values in Marketo by building tokens and custom fields of type "formula". This works, but over time, you end up having many, many custom fields that you may only have needed for a very few emails. It would be better if Marketo was able to handle if / else statements on the fly :{if fieldname="Industry" fieldoperator="=" fieldvalue="FINS" } ABC Widgets has many products for the financial services industry....{else}ABC Widgets offers robust products for all leading industries...{endif}Another example:{if fieldname="Job Title" fieldoperator="=" fieldvalue="CEO" } As the Chief Executive officer of your organization, you can appreciate....{else}You can appreciate...{endif}Any chance we could get this feature?
It seems like it should be possible to clone a token.Example scenario: I have 11 Programs that are part of the same Campaign Folder. I've realized there's a new token I need in each of the Programs. As it is, I have to Copy+Paste this token across each Program. It would be much easier to simply clone and repeat.
When a Lead or Contact is deleted from Salesforce, Marketo still maintains the SFDC ID and SFDC Type, even though that record has been deleted from Salesforce. I think we need a better way to filter on Leads who currently exist in Salesforce. It's possible that someone could be deleted from Salesforce, "SFDC is Deleted" would be set to true, and then that Lead syncs back to Salesforce.... "SFDC is Deleted" would still be true in this case.A filter for "Currently Exists in SFDC" would be ideal to get around these nuances.
Add search functionality to include the ability to find people by their profile name. Here's a related idea:https://community.marketo.com/MarketoIdeaDetail?id=08750000000IUGtAAO
Currently there isn't an easy way to find the ideas and discussions I start. For the time being, I utilize the "Subscribe" button to keep tabs on what topics I start on here and also save the links to refer to later. It would be awesome to have sections in "My Profile" title "My Discussions" and "My Ideas". It could even just be added as another option on the current picklist that sorts the discussions we've been a part of.
Liz asked me to repost this Idea that I originally submitted on 10/26/12 because it was merged with another Idea, but wasn't implemented with the other Idea.I'd like to be able to quickly find the ideas and discussions that I've submitted to see their status and comments. It would be great if there was a My Ideas and My Discussions option in the menu at the left of the page.
Has anyone passed successfully url variables in non-marketo landing pages with forms?I am trying to figure out how to pass these in a non-marketo landing pages that has a form. Trying to pass these variables as hidden fields in the forms.First the urlhttp://www.yourdomain/?utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=camptest&SFDCCampaignID=701a000ldlc&CampaignMemberStatus=sentHere is the javascript // to set cookies. Uses noConflict just in case var $jQ = jQuery.noConflict(); <!-- A method from getting the url params using pure javascript. Taken from http://jquery-howto.blogspot.com/2009/09/get-url-parameters-values-with-jquery.html--> function getUrlVars() { var vars = [], hash; var hashes = window.location.href.slice(window.location.href.indexOf('?') + 1).split('&'); for(var i = 0; i < hashes.length; i++) { hash = hashes[i].split('='); vars.push(hash[0]); vars[hash[0]] = hash[1]; }
If you have progressive profiling enabled on a form and have checkboxes on that form and have checkboxes that are defaulted to "checked", then these checkboxes will disappear if the page is visited twice (or if the page is refreshed) by the same user, but never submitted.Marketo support claim that this is by design (support case # 129497), but to me this is very much a bug and needs to be fixed. My logic:If a user has never submitted the values, they have never given the signal that the values are correct or accepted by them. If these checkboxes are indicating "opt-in" acceptance, for example, they need to stay visible until a submit action has taken place. The fact that they will be hidden before a submit seems to say that just viewing them once is the equivalent of submitting them. I totally disagree with this logic and I do not see any other fields that behave this way. My conclusion is that there's a bug with the checkbox field's progressive profiling logic. I'd
