I was surprised to see that there's no token for program name,I saw tokens for campaign name and similar, but no "program name".There are cases where I want to present something in activity log and I want to use the program name i.e. user clicked a link on the email *program name*.There are many other samples.I hope you'll be able to create such a thing ASAP..Thanks,Ronen2174 Yanir Calisar
It would be super to have a link on the Community home page directly to My Cases. It takes three clicks every time. Less time = less aggravation. Please and thank you.
We have the Approve and Close option for the Landing pages and we all know how useful it is and helps us avoid multiple clicks. I think it would be nice to have the same option for emails of all sorts as well.If you find this interesting please vote so that Marketo developers team take notice of this and we all can make our lives a bit easier. Thanks,Srujan Vishwanath
The new guided landing page templates are great as it enable significant improvement in template dynamics through variables and also reduce errors with the use of elements.Would you please add the same functionality to email (text, snippet and image elements would be needed, as well as variables) ?It would be also cool to add the same kind of functionality that I collected for the landing page enhancement idea ( ) :Add toggle variables that can really remove sections from the template, not just hide themAdd drop lists to text variables done with the editor 2.0Add drop lists to color variables. We could even use a color palette for color variables, being set by the admin. see Have token picklist for variables, so that when one want to use a token in a variable, he/she can pick and existing token, instead of having to type it or paste it from somewhere else. See Enable minimum scripting to leverage boolean or text variable. for instance, I would have a text variable with 3 possible value
It would be useful to update the email editor by adding a preheader text for a mailer content. We have tried for once in the HTML editor using the HTML scripts, but when we saw the test in gmail, the Preheader text shown in the mail as the first line.We need to use the Preheader text for our mailer to reveal the short content to describe the mailer reason other than the Subject.
In First Touch analysis Marketo divides opportunities across multiple contacts associated with the opportunity. This prevents us from understanding which Program actually drove the first touch for a new opportunity. This type of attribution division should be reserved for Multi-Touch analysis only and First Touch attribution should go to the first engagement with a representative from a company (a contact).
Hi Team,It would be very useful if there is a live chat feature in the support site. Every time when we faced any issue which need a immediate response we can contact the person in live chat.
Hey Guys,I think it will be great if we can set reminder for marketo calendar basic entries. Thanks,Sanjana Mohan
Tokenizing is great, but creating plain-text versions of your tokens becomes a nightmare if you have a variable number of paragraphs in the rich-text version. It would be great to have a type of token that was plain text, but could support characters like line breaks for those situations where you need more than one line of plain text, but don't know how many lines you need. This is a different approach to a similar need here:
Many times we have programs that include multiple segments. It would be great to be able to assign multiple tags values to track this.
I think it would be a great idea if Marketo would alert users if they tried to add a webhook to a batch campaign or change a campaign to batch with a webhook in it. I use webhooks pretty infrequently and so I don't always remember that they don't work with batch campaigns and have, on several occasions, wasted time trying to debug my webhook when it simply wasn't firing because it was in a batch campaign.I think that something that alerts user of the fact that their webhooks will not work needs to be added, that is unless webhooks will be made compatible with batch campaigns. Then, of course, this wouldn't be necessary.
Every month my team and I complete the long, painstaking task of manually entering the past month's period costs into our individual programs. As users, we would like to click on a button called, "Enter Period Costs" and be directed to a feature that would allow us to submit all our monthly period costs for our programs in one place at the same time. That feature would allow us to pull programs by a "Product Tag" filter (or any tag filters for that matter) and we would select the month we would be entering the costs for. Once the filter is in place we as users would see a list of all programs under that product tag with blank form fields next to each one (unless period costs had been previously populated then those numbers would show). Once we filled out any or all period costs we could then hit a submission button and all costs entered would be updated in their respective programs at once. Please note that some programs may be NA for the month so there would need to be an option to ign
Just like Forms and Smart Campaigns and Smart Lists have a "Used By" tab, we need a "Used By" view for Landing Pages. We need a way to identify all of the smart lists that are referencing a landing page. This would especially helpful for migration to new Guided LP templates, where we want to replace an existing page. For example, if we have Demo LP (Free Form) and want to replace all instances of it with Demo LP (Guided), there's no way to see all of the smart lists where Demo LP (Free Form) is being used.So we're going through and manually looking, which is certainly error-prone.
Since there is a limit of 100 Engagement Programs per instance and no more than 15 streams per program ~ Marketo should generate an automatic notification to users prior to us reaching our limit. This notification should be sent with plenty of time to allow for the deletion/shutting off of programs or contacting Marketo to increase Engagement Program limits. It is very user unfriendly to notify us by freezing our ability to build Engagement Programs on the day we reach the limit. Our experience took 2 days to rectify this problem, which meant 3 days without building for our APAC team and with tight deadlines, this was not a good experience.Appreciate your efforts to automate this important notification. Thank you
Since you can't change the template used by an existing landing page, it would be great to have a landing page action that would allow you to replace all instances of a selected landing page with a new landing page. For example, "landing page A" uses free form template, and you want to this landing page to now be responsive. So you create "landing page B" with the same content, but it uses Guided template. Now you want to be able to tell Marketo wherever "landing page A" is mentioned in smart lists, replace that with "landing page b". And have "landing page b" take over URL used by "landing page a".This would prevent any smart lists and resulting smart campaigns from breaking when migrating to a new responsive landing page.
Not sure if this idea has been created, but I need to be able to change the name displayed on calendar from the original program name. It seems pretty straightforward that users need to have the liberty to determine what would be displayed on the calendar.
Continuing where it left off...I'm new to Marketo and my current role but I'm a fan of the new feature that you've built out around the Sales Insight Email Performance. This a great summary of the information that the Sales Team is sending out with MSI.What I would really like to see however is a breakdown of the individuals that the messages have been sent to along with the details related to opens, clicks and unsubscribes. It seems that currently there is a lack of reporting that the Sales Team has access to around the information that they are sending out. Sure they can see the activity at the individual profile level but I personally would rather have a list that highlights email wins and failures. If this were something that I could report on out of Marketo I could distribute it to the Team.If this were integrated into sortable and/or reportable fields inside Salesforce they could create lists or reports themselves and it would be even better.Thank you
We tag every link with utm variables to get us more detailed source information for all our digital efforts. Some of our tags are unique to the asset (aka the invite to the webinar vs the follow up to the webinar), and others are unique to the campaign/program. It's tedious to add these in manually, and it's confusing for the average user who really doesn't spend time thinking about this sort of thing. It'd be very handy if Marketo had the ability to auto-tag every link in an email asset with the appropriate variables.Maybe Marketo pursues their own link-tagging system that either automatically tags links from admin-level settings, or provides some prompts during email setup to specify tagging details. Or perhaps it's a Google Analytics integration similar to how Campaign Monitor works. Note that you can sort of hack your way to this solution today with my.tokens, but the problem is you still have to remember to add in the querystring decoration for them to populate (e.g. utm_source={{
Add the ability to pre-load members into a campaign to shorten wait times before large campaigns can run. Have a way to refresh that list of members in case any changes are made to the smart list or the lead database.
There are times when we don't want to allow a user to submit a form if certain field values exist (for example a minimum age requirement is not met). Please include visibility rules for the Submit button!
Why doesn't the Analytics section allow for us to see each individual email of an A/B test? I need to see the statistics of my three different emails from one test just like every other analytical email report.
Sales Insights currently only has one set of flames and stars and there is no way to create different sets for different products. It would be awesome if there is a way to set up different sets of flames and starts for different products.
Would'nt it be great to be able to edit the calendar token based on the time zone of the event in the program. For instance, I'm (and also my Marketo time) is in the IST time zone and to set up a calendar token for a program happening in London taken a lot of effort in double checking and ensuring that the correct time is mentioned. It would be awesome if we could have a time zone option to choose while setting up calendar token. Thanks.
It would be great if there was a way to disable editing for certain content regions in Sales Insight emails. The unsubscribe language is one example. There could be major legal implications if this language gets changed. Also, we have some really "creative" sales reps. They love playing the roles of copywriter and designer. We need a way to lock this down. Anything on the horizon?
