I want to crop or rotate an image of my component. I only find examples where this happens via inplace editing. But I have components with more than one image, where only one image is rendered on the page, the other one is only shown, if I click on the first image (in a lightbox). How can I crop and rotate the second image?The same thing with richtext. Is it only possible to edit and format texts via inplace editing? I did not find a Granite UI component to use instead of classic UI richtext in a dialog. Thanks,Anne

I  have two publish servers.While installing a package in one publish server ,I got an error  "ERROR* [10.1.0.213 [1440501813043] POST /crx/packmgr/service/script.html/etc/packages/demo/test-1.0-SNAPSHOT.zip HTTP/1. 1] com.day.jcr.vault.fs.io.Importer There were errors during package install. Please check the logs for details." But the package installed successfully in other publish server.Please help

Hi all,We are pretty new to AEM and have an issue that we need help on if possible. We're currently managing a site developed by another vendor and have created our first new page in our author instance, and have now replicated it across to the publish instance using the replication service. This all worked fine and the logs say this has been successful, however when I browse to the URL we are getting a 404 error.I am wondering if anyone can offer guidance on where to look for potential issues. I have thought the following:- How can I verify the content is there on the publish site? As this is all locked down as normal.- Could this be an issue with the dispatcher? Maybe someone has configured only some specific URLs to be available using the /filter? (I say this as our site is a SPA and so only the main URL is accessed once with other calls being AJAX requests for content)- We don't have access to the live server environment, however I believe that the client (who hosts multiple sites

While attempting to post comments to an individual blog post, I've noticed that a there is a request to load the following file: /etc/clientcontext/default/content/jcr:content/stores.init.js?path=[path of current page]. However, this file results in a 500 error. What is this file and why is it being loaded on the page? Also, how can I troubleshoot 500 errors for content under /etc/clientcontext?

hi,i need to have 2 elements on the same line and i have set the layout parameter of the container panel to "column".The inner elements stay on the same line now but the labels are disappear.Set the labelWidth parameter don't resolve my problem.Thanks

I'm looking for some definitive guidelines on the max number of files that are allowed in the DAM.What I've read so far seems to indicate that there may not be a maximum number overall, but there is a limit per folder.Is that the case?This question is specific to AEM 5.6.1I read somewhere that the max is 300 to 400 files per folder.  That seems pretty low to me.Anyone have insight on this?

I am trying to configure AEM with Adobe DTM for tag management. I gave the API token and could successfully connect to DTM and fetch the company name and web properties. We are hosting the DTM libraries in AEM itself. Hence I selected "self-hosting" option. I have given the DTM bundle URL as well as the shared secret key to decrypt the downloaded library file. After entering all the values for configuration , when I press OK , an error pops up on the screen saying "Could not save configuration on the DTM server" . This is known issue while connecting a brand new DTM account with AEM 6.0. Hence I cross-checked to see whether the library download option has been enabled in DTM or not. It is enabled. I have a page in author /content/temp/page.htmlIn publish the path is /content/page.htmlIs it possible to activate /content/temp/page.html from author to /content/page.html in publish ?

I am looking for a way to preview unpublished pages on an author and view them in wcmmode = disabled so someone without AEM access can view a page in progress before it's published. One of the approaches I have heard of is to put a dispatcher in front of the author instance and set headers to pass wcmmode=disabled and set a remote_user to some ID that has read only access to content.Has anyone done that? I have tried all sorts of things to pass these parameters as request headers/parameter from dispatcher to author instance but nothing works. Can someone point me in the right direction and either validate or shoot down this approach?thanks

I'm looking at putting some event handling on a dialog and going through the instructions here: https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/using/creating-touchui-events.html1) The instructions result in an event that fires on ALL dialogs. Is there an example for setting up an event on a specific dialog?2) Those instructions reference a "dialog-ready" event. Is there a list of defined events?

I've an application with a link transformer that worked perfectly in AEM 5.6.1. After putting the code on a AEM 6.1 instance, the link transformer works only partly. On opening the page for the first time, it is transformed, it is a login page and there is validation. so a servervalidation.jsp is called and that produced an error(username or password not correct). The page is reloaded including the messages, but not the link transformer is not called resulting in a incorrect page.An addition, it looks like it fails because it is a POST methodAnybody any ideas ?

Hello,I was running DataStore Garbage Collector on one of my author servers. After a while, author server started to respond very slow. So I stopped garbage collector in between using stopDataStoreGarbageCollection(). After that, none of my pages are coming up on author server. Every page is throwing "ClassNotFoundException".I went thru this https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/DataStoreGarbageCollection.html It is mentioned here to not to execute stopDataStoreGarbageCollection() in between unless a hotfix (it is mentioned in above document) is installed. This hotfix was a solution for an issue - "Stopping GC can remove of datastore files".I am wondering if this happened with me. If this is the case, how can I fix the issue now?Thanks in advance for any help.

We have the environment Linux with AEM6 SP1. There is an external integration that brings some content (product pages and associated images) from a 3rd party service. This service is called from author via a scheduler to create relevant JCR nodes. The odd behaviour that we observe that which each such load (it runs weekly), the repository does a full reindexing of content and that makes author instance unavailable for some a good time period.Question:[1] Is there a way to identify what actually triggers this full reindexing and possible solution to resolve this? The data that comes through the service is not very heavy comparison to what we already have in the repo and thus doing entire reindexing seems unwarranted.I am also trying to follow the hep article https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/performance-tuning-tips.html -- > especially "Fins Slow Queries" using qla.jar but not so encouraging result yet.
