    Can we view the web application in mobile phone which deployed in AEM 6. 

Hi,I hope you can help.We are currently in the middle of upgrading from 5.4 to 5.6.1 and its all gone quite smoothly with the testing in the authoring environment. However, when the components are deployed to the publish server there are a lot of exceptions thrown. On referring back to the code all the lines in question seem to be using currentPage in some way.Has anybody had an experience like this? Or know why currentPage appears to be null.RegardsDamian.

I need to create new screen as like site admin/dam page in AEM.I have designed most of the parts except user management. PFA the screen shot. When I click on ‘User Admin’ tab, It should display the existing user management screen.  Nothing new on this. So I am just referring AEM’s useradmin xtype.For this I have created all the necessary node under ‘/apps/wcm/core/content’ and created a widget with xtype useradmin under cq:widgetCollection node. But it is not working. It is working when I switch into siteadmin xtype.I have gone through useradmin.js, It has logic like it only it renders all things into ‘CQ’ ID"renderTo":"CQ"I am not sure whether I am in correct direction.  Could anyone suggest me how to display existing useradmin page under “User Admin” tab.Thanks

Hi,I have this query to get a pagecontent node based on jcr:title property this way:/jcr:root/content/abc/def/ghi/jkl//element(*, cq:PageContent)[@jcr:title = 'config']When I run this query, I'm observing following kinda warnings in logs:org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.index.property.strategy.ContentMirrorStoreStrategy Traversed 7000 nodes using index jcr:primaryType with filter ......I created following property index:declaringNodeTypes    Name[]    cq:PageContentjcr:primaryType    Name    oak:QueryIndexDefinitionpropertyNames    Name[]    jcr:titlereindex    Boolean    FALSEtype    String    properyBut still the query takes a lot of time to execute. Hello all !I'm new to CQ5 and I had a good company training so far. Now I'm enhancing my knowledge trying to do some things by myself.I was going through the security check list on adobe website to create a deploy instalation of CQ5. One of the items was to remove Geometrixx example content.So I went to the package manager on author and had it uninstalled. Everything was fine! Then I tried the same thing on publish and even though package managersays it is uninstalled, when I go to WCM website, I still see geometrixx nodes. If I click on them (lets say to change content) nothing is showed.I talked to some co-workers and they have no idea why it is not removing those nodes on publish side.Maybe you guys have any idea ?version: 5.6.1Thank you in advance,

New developer here, just wondering what the pathname I would use if I were to implement a workflow on a folderor running a custom process step? I'm guessing if were to implement the workflow on the asset it be:WorkflowData workflowData = workItem.getWorkflowData();        if (workflowData.getPayloadType().equals(TYPE_JCR_PATH)) {            String path = workflowData.getPayload().toString(); And to process arguments it be:String pathFromArgument = args.get("PROCESS_ARGS", String.class); Also if i were to process some assets and create a different file format of it, how would I store it?Would I use the Asset API and create a rendition? Is there a pathname to specify when storing it or will it automatically populate in the DAM? Thanks,Ram

The compreport is being used in our application. In my local, I can access it, view the report with all the generated details perfectly. Whereas when it is being accessed from higher environments such as dev and qa, it opens, sidekick is displayed, page layout is displayed, but nothing else happens. There is no sign of a process going on. I checked the permissions for the users and everything is enabled. There is no additional customization done to the component. Please let me know in case of any solutions to this. Thanks in advance!

When I try to reply to comments from socoadmin I see an error "An error occurred while posting reply." On investigating i found this condition in CollabAdmin.js file. Don't know the exact reason for this error or what service is getting triggered when doing it. Can anyone help? 

How would I create a custom dialog box specifically to upload a text file and have it processed in the step?I'm going to be installing this as an OSGi bundle built by maven & eclipse. I seen some examples of it as a XML file but where specifically would Iadd this XML file in my project? Thanks,Ram

Hello All,I have been trying to install the newest version of the dispatcher on IIS 8. I was following along with how to install the dispatcher on a web server located here:http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/dispatcher/disp-install.htmlOnce I finished this, I went ahead and configured the Dispatcher Flush on my Author instance, and tested the connection and it says that it was successful. The problem is when I go to activate content, it is not working with the dispatcher. I have been using the AEM eclipse plugin. It speeds things up quite a bit, but I seem to be having an issue.When I start my server in eclipse it is syncing the folder structure as expected.When I debug my server, i can place breakpoints and get eclipse to stop and load the states of the app just fine.The problem is when I am in debug mode and I attempt to save it tries to sync the files but I get this:Could not publish to the server.java.lang.NullPointerExceptionAny insight would be greatful. Thanks!

Not sure why this is happening but when we deactivate a page it is also getting deleted on the author.  This some kind of reverse replication bug?

Hello,I enabled the saml2.0 authentication with handle logout service in AEM, it works well for user authentication, but I found a sign out problem. When I tried to sign out from AEM, it will redirect me to the logout url page which I configured in IDP, however i don't think it is a real sign out, because when I close the browser and open a new browser, it doesn't require me to provide the username/password again even through the IDP login page displayed, it seems like browser will remember my credential in the cookie? How can I resolve this problem? Do I need to write some code to handle this by myself or there is some code can be reused in AEM or need IDP to set expire cookie time?  I want to have this function: Once user click sign out in AEM, AEM will do the real signout (remove session or cookie?) so that user need to provide username/password for saml authentication again. It seems like enable the saml in AEM will break the original OOTB sign out function.Owen Wang

Our websites are loading images from two folders.Location :1) /content/dam/xxx/article/images001.jpg            2)   /content/dam/article/image002.jpg (images are not loading from this path)From path 2 , images are not loading . We are getting images blank.Can you please suggest the issue.Is any property or permission issue on particular folder.

Hi All,I am facing a problem in publishing a website in aem.My problem is that , when i publish any static pages using package manager , it works fine .But when i use any component in my script , it triggers an error in publish instance as:Unable to compile class for JSP: An error occurred at line: 19 in the generated java file Only a type can be imported. org.training.test.Helloworld resolves to a packagei build and replicate my package everytime when i make changes in script.underlying bundle is a bundle in my one another project.even i import this bundle in publish instance using http://localhost:4503/system/console/bundles. it trigger the same error.can you give me solution for this !!

We want to use the copy and paste option for the column control component. Even I added the copy option in the editConfig, it doesn't show up in the dialog. Does anyone know any reason behind that the column control component has no copy/paste option?

HiI am new to AEM.  I am trying to create a basic page component using sightly.  I inherit the page from the AEM's sightly page component,  by specifying sling:resourceSuperType as wcm/foundation/components/page.I have created my own head.html and body.html files in the component folder.The page does show up in the touch-UI as well as in classic-UI.However, my problem is that I do not get the side-kick in the classic UI.Would someone please help me?thanks

Hi,I am trying to sync the values of two nodes and both are datetime field. I am using ajax call to set value of another node onsubmit of dialog. Problem is id I save through datetime in dialog it saves with timezone information but if I save it through ajax the date converts into UTC(server is in UTC) format and saves. How can we achieve this without conversion?

Hi all,I have a requirement to create different renditions with higher dpi than actual uploaded asset's dpi. Is it possible in AEM?Eg. I am uploading an image of 572X320 with 72 dpi.  DAM update asset workflow  I need to have a new process named 'high dpi rendition' like 'web enabled rendition' which need to create new rendition 220X125 and 1200 X 1200  with 300 dpi. or any out-of-box process is available where I can provide height , width and dpi.Is there any limit in number of renditions that can be created for an asset?Which all type of asset can have renditions likeimages -jpeg,gif,png,bmpAudio -mp3,.wavVideo =flv,mp4,movDoc-indd,ai,doc,pdf,xls,ppt  Thanks in advanceLM

Hi all,I would like to customize the standard component Reviews Essentials. For this Purpose I have copiedlibs\social\reviews\components\hbs\reviews\review.review.hbs to apps/myProject/components/social/reviews/hbs/reviews/review.hbs in my Project. In this file I have added some <dev>test</dev> just to test, if the copied file review.hbs override the original file. I have deployed and tested but nothing changes :(. Do I have to do something else to tell the framework to use my review.hbs instead of the original?Thanks for Help

hi, i need to host my CQ site , so can you please tell me what are all the things i need to follow for that , i searched i get some results like, need to have iis, then installing dispatcher and configuring dispatcher , so i finished upto installing dispatcher, after that i am not understand anything, i need to know what are all the step to be done for host a cq site,and if there is any article on that provide that.Thanks
