So I built a new program that we will be using as a template and I want to make it a one stop shop with the tokens.In the program we have an email campaign, but because marketo currently does not offer paypal integration we use a different service for that form, and we want to send a confirmation when people get added to a specific sf campaign with specific status. In a case like that where the smart list would be added to smart campaign can we use a token in the trigger campaign to specify the campaign or does that only work with the flow not smart lists?

Just got the Aug 2014 release notes. Maybe I'm blind but I can't seem to find the spot to assign calendar licenses? Does this apply to all levels of Marketo? 

Hi,If we purge leads that were once active, but now have become inactive, does it impact historical data reported in Analytics such as email open rates, landing page performance, etc? Would it make any year-over-year comparisons inaccurate?Thank you,Ed

When using the A/B Test Challenger/Champion option, do I just leave the subject line in the actual email blank and then it will populate the two tests in there automatically?

Hello,We have a live event program created with a series of smart campaigns set up as part of it.  Each smart campaign contains various filters.  Is it possible to add a static seed list to the smart campaign?  If so, how would I do it?  If it isn't possible, how would you suggest I seed the campaign smart list?I've tried adding the "Member of List" filter so that both lists are included but the seeds are being dropped due to filters applied to the program list.Thanks!

Hi,I want to add some images into a landing page and add a link to them, however, as these images are straight from my computer, I have no url for them. I know that in an email you can add an image from your computer and then add a hyperlink to it, is there any way of doing this on a landing page?Thanks

Hi there,We are starting a new initiative with weekly demo webinars.  In order to make this as easy as possible for our SEs, I would like to set up repeating campaigns for the webinars.  Is this possible? Hi guysWe're using Forms 2.0 and I've added in recently the State field using the visibility rules based on the country field for US, Canada and Australia.I want to make the state field mandatory for these three countries and this may seem a daft question but by checking the mandatory field for state, will it affect any of the other countries where state is not asked? CheersColin

Hi all,Recently our company has started working with an external sales team for a partner product of ours. It has now become evident that their method of blindly calling random leads to try and convert them to a sale or free trial, isnt working as well as they expected! I have introduced some basic alerts to be sent to the telesales - Expression of interest alert, trial launched, half way through trial period, trial complete - and i've brought in some basic scoring metrics into the reports.Now what am I looking for....... Blogs, whitepapers, books, ideas - elements that we can test. I know its all very different based on industries etc but worth a try.Many thanks,Barry

Our primary use of Marketo is with our customers but we also use it to send internal newsletters to folks within the organization. To avoid managing another database/list, we use group aliases - example: everyone@ourURL.com.While these newsletters are internal, we still would like to see stats for these sends - opens, clicks, forwards, etc. Unfortunately, we do not get the full set of stats when we send to the alias. It seems that stats are only recorded for one recipient and no one else.Does anyone know how we can collect full email stats in this situation?ThanksShannon

Hi,Just for peace of mind, I take it tokens such as {lead.first name} in the challenger for subject lines for the A/B Testing in engagement programs will show up correctly? I'm just getting blanks in the test which I would expect to see but cant figure out a way to get a live test.

Hello -I am working with our web team to implement Forms 2.0 on our website and are thinking about using the lightbox forms instead of the on-page forms.  However, the web team has some concerns about issues with users having popups blocked on their browser.  Has anyone ran into this issue while using lightbox forms?

Preface: NO I am absolutely not looking to moving away from marketo . In fact we just purchased a second Marketo instance for a sister agency. I'm asking because I have a specific question about Pardot functionality for an external client and I don't have an answer. This may be the least likely place to find this answer, but I know a lot of folks on here specialize in different automation systems including Pardot. SO: If you've ever tinkered inside of Pardot, could you let me know if the system allows triggered campaigns like in Marketo? I'm thinking specifically how we build in marketo specific triggered smart campaigns that can do things like scoring, alerts, MQL and SQL qualification, etc. but are not related to an email or event specifically. 

So, a co-worker of mine with more experience told me that I need to ALWAYS add a filter to my campaign smart lists that specifies 'Not in' 'Unsubscribed Leads'.This sounds like something that should be automatic with any campaign no?

We are building an engagement program with different streams based on lead score. Each stream contains a program with 10 emails. In the Send Flow Action of each program there are wait steps between each email. I currently have the transition rules set up to add someone to a new stream if their lead score is within a new threshhold. Since I have a program running to send 10 emails to someone in a stream, when they transtion, do I need to "Remove From Flow" in the Send Flow Action of each program? I heard that the Programs within streams run independently from the Engagement Program and want to ensure that someone will not receive new content from the new Stream's program while still receiving content from their old steram's program.Thanks!

Has the limitation on the number of values in smartlist been increased? I just pasted 500 values and it worked. Sorry if I missed a comms somewhere..

Hi -We're seeing an issue where our MKTO member status are set correctly in the program, but when we check the campaign in SFDC the campaign member statuses are set to the default. This hasn't happened before -  has anyone experienced this and does anyone have a fix?

We are currently using a landing page/form as a way for our guests to check in/register at an event.  We noticed that then the form is submitted and refreshes, the field sets contain the information previously entered.  Is there anyway to clear out the field set after each submission?  We prefer if this could be automatic and not a manual process. 

We've just implemented BrightTALK and want to customize the 'lead source' field from "Event Partner" - has anyone had experience with how to do this?ThanksTim

Hi,When I import a list from a csv. file, in the preview Marketo automatically assigns any empty columns to 'Phone Number' as the default value. I then have to manually change each of these to IGNORE, which is quite time consuming.Is there any easy way to change this default value back to IGNORE?

So I'm hoping to clarify this...I want to send out a response email to everyone who clicked a link in a previous email. So I set up a new smart list but was wondering if I could just used the 'Clicks Link in Email' trigger to accomplish this, or if I need to go with 'Opens Email' and add the filter 'Clicked Link in Email' set to 'On or After' the date of sending.Basically, if I just use the tirgger, will it only apply to people clicking from today forward or will it apply to those who have gone before?Thanks!

Hello,I need to mass update the "Lead Owner" field in Marketo so that I can send interesting moment notifications to the right user.  What would be the easiest way to do this given that I am using Marketo in conjunction with Dynamics 2011?  Thanks!

So I'm new and this may be built in and easy as can be, but I want to trigger a response email to a link clicked in a previous email. This is a short enough list of leads, maybe 40 in this case, but a number of them clicked the link more than once. I do not want them to receive the response email more than one time. Do I add a trigger filter that essentially uses "Was Sent Email" and "is not" with the response email selected? Thanks for your help!
