we are trying to create a plugin in aem as a cloud. we are running into a issue where there is an asset which is available to all users but at one time can be processed by one user only. we are running into synchronicity issues where multiple users are able to process the same asset and plugin runs into issues. in aem on prem the synchronized key word could handle it but in cloud what what be the correct mechanism to handle this? so that only one user exclusively gets the lock of that assets and the other users get the information that the asset has already been locked? i.e we need synchronisation between pods to process an event only once

We have custom web forms on our site, and have been using the API to post leads to a Marketo form.We were using this endpoint which was working as of last week.  "/index.php/leadCapture/save"   Is there a new endpoint value that should be in place if this was deprecated?   Anthony

We have an event that has multiple sessions. Each session has a specific login link. We don't want to send 8 different emails with each login link. Is there a way to use velocity scripting to do this? If so, is there a resource I can be pointed to for this?   Thanks!

I am loading a dashboard that I've created and it won't load the data. It worked last week and when opening it today it keeps loading and this message comes up all over the screen? Any help is appreciated, thank you! 😄

Hi,I want to use the accordion component from core components but I don't want to nest it. The approach is that to create a policy that will not allow adding accordion to the accordion panels. I would like to add a possibility to add a container to the accordion panel but restrict this container to don't add an accordion component. Is it possible to handle that case with a suitable policy for this nested component or there is the different method?

I built a Click event rule in Launch for the "Form Submit" button. But this rule is firing even if you just click submit button even if the fields of the form are not entered. Any solution to that? I have also tested it by changing it to event type Form "Submit" and now nothing is coming in the debugger.

Hi Team     I am looking for some guidelines or your experience working with Video Assets in AEM. For a client , who don't use Dynamic Media, but still want to use AEM for managing Video assets what are the pros and cons you can list out? What would be the challenges we might face ? What would be the better option if not !? ThanksVeena

Hi All, I have created Maven Project, When I try to add styles to the components I was not able to see the styles on the components, css is not even getting compiled.  Please Advise what is the correct structure to follow for ClientLib in AEM and how to apply these clientLib/styles to the components.    ThanksHeena

I need to fetch value of a checkbox which is present in multifield. There is another checkbox and both the checkboxes are having same granite:class. So I am unable to use granite:class to fetch the value of the checkbox. What else ways are possible to fetch the value of the first checkbox?Cant use this: let ctaDropdown = $(this).find(".cq-dialog-checkbox-showhide")[0].selectedItem.value;since my other checkbox is also having same class (cq-dialog-checkbox-showhide)

Hi,We need a List component that displays the Page thumbnail. I got a suggestion to use this one:Component:https://github.com/adobe/aem-guides-wknd/tree/master/ui.apps/src/main/content/jcr_root/apps/wknd/com... Java Interface:https://github.com/adobe/aem-guides-wknd/blob/master/core/src/main/java/com/adobe/aem/guides/wknd/co... Sling Model:https://github.com/adobe/aem-guides-wknd/blob/master/core/src/main/java/com/adobe/aem/guides/wknd/co... Even though we added the pages to component, it does not show anything. Neither edit mode(it stays as a placeholder) or wcmmode  We would really appreciate your help on this. Thanks!

Hi All, I created a simple Angular component and mapped it an AEM Component. My AEM Component has an authoring dialog that has two multifields: textfield and pathbrowser.and exporting it into model.json which is used to render logic. In the SPA editor, I can update the authoring dialog fields for both multifield but the content not reflected in the page level. Why do multifield content not reflected in page level??

Hello Gurus, I am trying to decentralise Adobe Target development in an organisation - empowering all the squads/teams to work on AT rather than a single team holding the development for the full org. As part of it, we now have enough expertise in all the squads to develop, but we are facing an issue on the governance model. We do have a clear role based permission management setup, but what we are lacking is a collaboration model. We want other squads to be kept updated about the events in target. We were thinking of creating a chatOps model with slack/MS Teams where in we get notifications when an activity is activated/deactivated etc. I cannot find any OOTB ways to do it, can anyone share any ideas on how to expose the AT activity life cycle events to an external system

Is there a way to integrate Microsoft Teams with Analytics and/or Launch. So that upon a certain event (e.g. an order or an error page displayed) a Microsoft Teams message is being triggered.

Currently I'm able to create Analytics rules which trigger based on URL, and then push the appropriate data onto the Adobe data layer. I was going to have these rules fire as 1st priority, and then I could use that Data layer information for analytics tracking using subsequent rules. Is this bad practice? I've been unable to create working data elements for the data that gets pushed this way, but I'm still unsure if thats just user error, or because of something inherently wrong with the way I'm setting the data layer. The data is visible in the browser console, I just can't seem to get any Launch rules to meet a value comparison for data added this way. I am trying to avoid having the AEM Sites developers put the Data layer into the source code directly. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,   I'm trying to delete _mkto_trk cookie when user decides to stop being tracked. I'm under this domain "online.example.com", so the tld is ".com"  The _mkto_trk cookie has been created under this domain ".example.com"   I don't know if it's a cookie restriction, but when I try to delete it, the cookie remains there and it's not removed. These are the features of the cookie. Domain:  .example.com Path: /  Name: _mkto_trk HttpOnly: false   I've tried to do this: document.cookie = "_mkto_trk=; path=/; domain=.example.com;expires=Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:01 GMT" but unfortunately it isn't removed. If I enter this command: document.cookie obviously the cookie is not listed, I think because I'm under the "online.example.com" and by cookie restrictions you are not allowed to see cookies of the parent domain "example.com", I don't know if these restrictions are linked to remove them.   My code, initializes the munchkin code "Munchkin.init" , witho

Hello again Marketing Nation!   Here comes a question regarding the initial setup to sync with Microsoft Dynamics.   First some brief background.   In the Marketo docs (Step 2 of 3: Set up Marketo Sync User in Dynamics), it says that one has to create a special user account, a Sync User, in order to be able to continue with the process.   Furthermore, there is a note where it says that the email for the Sync User "does not need to be an actual email address": However, on the next step it says:   Note: It seems like one has to send an email in order to get the Sync Users credentials. If a fake email is used, how to get the Sync Users credentials?Sub question: Are there any pros/cons to using a real vs fake email for the Sync User?   Any help would be much appreciated!   Best, ernie P.S. - All quotes and screenshots were taken from the following page:docs.marketo.com/display/public/DOCS/Step+2+of+3%3A+Set+up+Marketo+Sync+User+in+Dynamics

We'd like replies received in response to Marketo emails to be recorded in a way that would allow us to efficiently analyze the content in the email replies. One method would be to place rules in the email client that is receiving the email replies to forward the replies to a destination email address that would archive all the replies for analysis.I'm curious what some other approaches might be? Ideally without requiring manual action for each email reply received. We do use Salesforce and will start using Sales Insight but logging inbound email replies in Marketo using Sales Insight appears to be a manual step.

I have several components here which uses image (examples: background image in a div or a img tag for displaying images).I want to:display the image/asset path when I open dialog if an image has been imported alreadydisplay blank/empty string if no image has been importedAny ideas on how to do this? I found something that may work (Image Path in Touch UI dialog (AEM 6.1 and AEM 6.2) As a test, I placed a console.log("something here") just before $(document) and nothing is showing up in the console. This is the xml declaration for the property that contains the image path in the node<file   jcr:primaryType="nt:unstructured"   sling:resourceType="granite/ui/components/foundation/form/fileupload"   autoStart="{Boolean}false"   class="cq-droptarget"   fieldLabel="Image asset"   fileNameParameter="./fileName"   fileReferenceParameter="./fileReference"   mimeTypes="[image]"   multiple="{Boolean}false"   name="./file"   title="Upload Image Asset"   uploadUrl="${suffix.path}"   useHTML5="{Bo

Hi community, I need to understand the role of Adobe I/O in AEMaaCS. 1. Say, if AEM author/publisher wants to connect to an external API, should we need to always go through Adobe I/O (Calling Runtime action as mentioned here) or shall we make a call directly from AEM author to External API. 2. Say if the same external API call need to be sent from client side(from front end code), then also same question arises. Should we connect through I/O Runtime or direct call to external api. Ay pointers and suggestions will be helpful

This page: https://sling.apache.org/documentation/the-sling-engine/servlets.html has an embeded presentation which has servlet declarations like this: @SlingServiceResourceTypes(resourceTypes="xx/yy/zz") etc. However, all the examples and AEM docs seem to only support this older format: @8220494(service = Servlet.class, property = { Constants.SERVICE_DESCRIPTION + "=something","sling.servlet.methods=" + HttpConstants.METHOD_GET, "sling.servlet.paths=" + "/bin/api/mypath" }) Is this new format available in the latest cloud SDK, and are there any examples of it does anyone know?
