Workfront

Hi All,I'm in need of a calculated custom field on the Task object that indicates (y/n) if the Name of the Task matches the Name of any (active) Job Role that exists in the system, but I'm not sure how to do this (or if it's doable at all). - For clarity: I not only need to look at the Job Roles assigned to the Task, but at all Roles that exist.I appreciate if anyone can help with any ideas.Thank you,Tibor

Previously we could select a "parent task" from a report and go to the ellipsis and delete the "parent task", "sub task", and any related "requests" suddenly we can no longer do that. Did something change and I missed it? A user pointed this out to me and I checked from my perspective and also could not do it - but in my Preview area I can still do that process. Screen shots attached from both preview and live.  Any insight would be appreciated. TIA Dawnmarie

I am customizing a workload balancer for a resource manager.  One feature they want to use is the summary panel to make quick updates.  When I added the balancer as an external page to their dashboard, the summary panel was no longer visible and updates could not be made directly from the page.  Is there a setting I'm missing to resolve this issue?

We have a custom form that feeds a report for our stakeholders to know the status of the project. The % complete is not a clear indicator of the phase of our work/the project. Right now updating the status field in the form is manual and not tied to anything. We want to select specific tasks (mile makers) to be tied to the custom for to update the "status" field as they are completed. Is this possible? Alternatively, is there a way to add the "status" field as a column that can be viewed AND updated in the project view? So then, as we complete the mile marker tasks we can also update the status? I was able to add it as a column but am not able to edit while marking a task as complete. Thanks!

I am trying to use Baselines - but I am not seeing how I would show that a project has slipped a month from its start.  Does anyone have a process they are using to calculate slippage in a project or a series of projects?  Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide! Sue

Hello,We have users that are associating a custom project status and when they select that project status, they're supposed to enter an issue within the project with that status. I'm trying to build a report to see when projects have that status, show me only when the issue doesn't exist. It's basically an audit type report to ensure we're entering issues into projects with that status. I attempted to build it as a project report and if the issue id is blank which means it doesn't exist, but that's not a native option. Thoughts? Thanks!Mary

Hello, I'm trying to parse JSON coming in from an Iterator but the name of the JSON element could change names.  For instance, different custom field names.Much like the eval() function in Javascript, I want Fusion to be able to read a name dynamically. I've attached some screenshots to help me desribe the exact scenario.I have the name of a Role in the 1st_Module and I'm looking up a Custom field with that same Role Name.That does return JSON data, which I'm trying to parse in the 2nd_Module.However, the Role Name will change with different assigned Tasks.Is there a way to dynamically set up the 2nd_Module to accomplish this.  You can see from the 2nd_Module.png file what I've tried, but doesn't work. At time of the scenario running, Fusion errors with not valid JSON.  I'm trying to type in a string that points to the JSON element.  So I need Fusion to eval() the string.I hope that makes sense of what I'm trying to accomplish.Thanks for any idea

Is there a report or text mode where I can add  @mentions to a Note Report. The @mentions don't show up on my updates report.  I know we can use the Home page widget, but some of my users want all updates in one report.  

Hello Community.  Wondering if anyone has run across this.  If not, I can put in a support ticket.  I recently started using an External Lookup Field to pull in Team Members from a specific team.  The old way we just had a pulldown field that fixed names,  that we kept having to update every time a new teammber came on board or left etc.  This way the Team Admin can maintain their own list by managing the team.Anyway, I got it working however the users want it be able to select multiple team members when using the filed.  So after creating the Field, I checked the "Mulit-select dropdown" option.  All seems to work great for a few days.  Then after a while that checkbox somehow is getting unchecked.  I can go in and check it again and it will be ok for a few days.  Has anyone run across this before?  I have attached a screen shot of how my field is setup.  Is it how my field is setup? Or is this a bug? Any h

Is there a way to have a checklist auto populate on a board card without having to copy a previous card? We are wanting 4 fields to attach automatically whenever we press "new card".

We use Workfront for marketing and reviewing proofs. Periodically, we know a similar document was submitted and want to search within the PowerPoint presentation or PDF. Is there a way to do this? Has anyone done this or found this a need?

What is the best way to add recurring requests (monthly, quarterly or yearly) ? Can this be automated?

I've been successful in creating the form and its fields, but I'm facing a challenge with the conditional logic.In the Workfront UI, there's an option to set up "skip logic" where the visibility of certain fields depends on the selection made in another field (e.g., a radio button or a dropdown menu). For instance, if a user selects "Yes," a new set of fields appears, but if they select "No," those fields remain hidden.My question is: Is it possible to configure this conditional logic directly through the Workfront API?I've reviewed the API documentation and haven't found any specific parameters or endpoints that allow for the creation of these rules. The current process seems to be confined to the UI's form designer.If this functionality isn't available, I'd appreciate it if you could confirm it. I have a situation where a team wants to have folks who don't do there day-to-day in Workfront receiving task alerts in sent to their work email accounts. The people we are wanting to do this for aren't using Workfront much, if at all, in their normal day-to-day. But the team that is looking into this does, and they need a means to track project proposal approvals inside of Workfront. However, I have not found a way to send task alerts to anyone's email via the email notification system Workfront has. I have seen a few things here and there that look like they are looking to do something similar, because a notification inside of Workfront isn't always effective for one reason or another. So: Bob is a group admin in Workfront.Joe is his director, and rarely, if ever, uses Workfront. Bob is sent a proposal request through Workfront.Bob converts it to a project and then begins adding tasksBob needs Joe to either approve, or deny, this proposalBob creates a task that says "A

I would like to create a report that will show the sum of record counts for multiple fields in a custom form. Specifically, something like this: If Field A or Field B = Choice 1, then show the total count of Field 1 plus Field 2. If Field A or Field B = Choice 2, show the total count of Field 3 plus Field 4, and so on. I'm terrible anything except the very simplest calculated fields. I'm trying to create a dynamic report that will show the user all other users' timesheets from the previous week, as long as the users' Home Teams match any of the teams in the $$USER's Other Teams. I ALMOST have it working but there are holes that I'm not quite understanding or know how to fix. I have a report where I am calculating average users' average hours per week.  In my grouping header, I want to show the sum average of the hours over a 6 week period (so total hours over the 6 week period divided by 6) & then in the subgroup headers (each row) I want show the average hours per week (total hours for the one week divided by count of the hours for that week). In my attached screenshot:Main group header: Hours 232, Avg Hours / Wk 38.67 > This is calculated by 232 / 6 = 38.67Subgroup header: Hours 40, Avg Hours / Wk 6.67 > This is where I am running into the problem.  I need to divide by the count.  In the screenshot, the count is 11, so to get the weekly average is should be 40/11= 3.64.There is a copy of the code in the screenshot.  I'm not sure what I need to divide by to get the weekly average because my row count will change depending on the number of entries per week.  Is this possible or is there a better way to do it?&nb

I am the admin for our company. Our PM's have been asked by a client to use WorkFront in conjunction with their company who holds the licensing. One of my users can not access the web based access to Workfront on her computer (MacBook Pro) but I, using her credentials on a different computer, login without issue. The IT Team on the client side of this has a ticket but thus far nobody has an answer. It was suggested that there could be an issue with the Federated license and a reset could solve this issue. Another suggestion is fully removing all adobe applications / caches from the computer and start fresh?  Any help would be appreciated

Hi,  We're currently only using the Workload Balancer portion of  Resource Management and would like to hide some of the other tools showing on the left panel. I didn't find anything in layouts to do this. Is there any way to hide Resource Pools and Utilization in the left panel? We have multiple departments using our instance and all users are showing up in the utilization view and filters don't seem to stay. The departments update each other so companies isn't an option to hide the other department users from view. Thanks

I can't figure out how to copy a formula we use for a reference number into a different custom field. When I copy and update the custom names it tells me that "Packaging Request Type is not a valid field in your system".  I'm not sure what that means? Hi everyone,We're currently experiencing an issue where some users (not all) are intermittently seeing a blank page when accessing Workfront.
