I'm looking to format phone numbers in a text field to xxx-xxx-xxxx, when you tab out of the field. I have users that enter phone numbers many ways 6052222222,605-222-2222,605.222.2222I Have (this.value = this.value.replace(/[^\*]/g,'*')"/>) on my exit on the field which works fine if your enter the phone number 6052222222. I am creating a form for the Engineering Department. The end users need to be able to insert a GDT symbol into a textfield sentence. The sentence uses standard font (Myriad Pro) but the GDT symbol uses the GDT font. Is there a script I could attach to a checkbox that when checked, would allow the user to enter a GDT font symbol but that would not change the font on the text that has already been entered? Then after the GDT symbol has been entered, the user would need to switch back to the standard font again to continue the sentence.Thanks for any help you can provide me.-Don

Hi,     My pdf form has many text fields with borders. One of the fields has a dropdown click calender date extension, and its border wont hide when printed. How do i hide the zeros in calculated fields? Some of my fields show the zeros and others do not and i can not figure out why or what the difference is between the fields. They seem to look the same. I've found a post where it suggests using the validation tab for the field and add certain code but my validation tab is grayed out. Although, that suggestion may have been for the Acrobat product not LiveCycle Designer ES 8.2. Here is a link to the example.pdf of some fields showing zeros and other fields not showing zeros. I have created a table in LiveCycle using a dropdown box with options to select "1", "2", or "3".  The problem I am having is when I open the PDF from the user's perspective... Once I select any of the available options, I can't clear them out of the box.  This is a problem if the user accidentally selected something, but really needs to leave the space blank.  Delete and backspace won't work, and I'm basically stuck with a value once one has been selected. How can I make it so that users can delete the selected value to make it a blank cell again?  I am a beginner at LiveCycle and FormCalc, so a step-by-step answer would be most greatly appreciated!  Thanks!

Am posting new info on a topic I posted in the wrong category (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/873889?tstart=0) in the hopes that moving it to correct category and providing new info will help.  My form has a value field, and based on the values, radio buttons would be checked accordingly.  The below working code is set as JavaScript on the calculate event of the radio box in question.  All is well so far, it works fine.The next step am trying to accomplish is that there is another radio box where they would check the Type - A, B or C.  Except for a Type B, the below is in effect.  However, if Type B is selected, regardless of value below, the classification should ALWAYS be set to "1".  So a value of 1,000,000 AND marked as Type B would be classification 1, for example. I am attempting to convince my boss to replace my mini PC with a Mac, as I primarily use Creative Suite, and this tiny little box has a lot of difficulty with it, among other problems.My concern is that I created all of our company forms using LiveCycle Designer, and to my knowledge, this program is not available on Mac. Is there a program for Mac that will allow me to edit these interactive forms in the same manner as LiveCycle Designer?  I have been told that Acrobat alone is capable of the same types of edits, but I am unsure of how to do it.  I've gone through the Forms on Acrobat and what I've found is not nearly as intuitive as LiveCycle Designer. If anyone could tell me first, if Acrobat is capable of this, and second, where I might get some good information on how to do it, I would appreciate it.If Acrobat isn't the best program to use, what could I use instead?  I need to be able to edit/create interactive pdf forms with input fields, radio buttons, drop downs, etc, and be abl

Hi Folks,           I get a great help from this forum and i follow very frequently. This time i have a question regarding Tables, how to manipulate fields in a table using JavaScript. The requirement is as follows, I have a Table (100rows x 3columns) and few of them are hidden from layout. The first column contains the text values such as sequential numbers, (the first column is visual index, 1, 2, ,3 ... 100). Now, i am trying to write a script which, replaces or overrides the first column values in text boxes to spaces. Can you guys help me out if making a script? or provide me some resources where i can manipulate table fields using JavaScript?Thanks in advance.

Hello,I have a small problem. I have a table with several columns. As all the columns do not fit with the correct width, the format is very ugly. Since leaving all data in a row is very small, I like to cut a line into two, namely:- For example if I have a table with 10 columns, I would leave in the first row 7 columns (for that look good data) and the next row only the remaining 3 columns. Thus each row of the original table, occupy two rows on the form.Thank you very much beforehand

I know this may be a novice question, but can someone please explain when/why xfa.resolveNode is used form design? Is it a form of shorthand to keep from referencing a parent subform?Thanks in advance

I have a JDBC call to grab some data including a date/time stamp.  For the life of me, I can't figure out how to convert that string to a proper date/time field.  It's important because I need to use validation strings to present a more simplified date/time to users on a form.  But I'd like to keep the original date/time so I can reinsert it into a SQL db at the end.  I created a test process so I can watch the progress. input string = '2010/08/18 16:41:23'Expression = parse-dateTime-withFormat (/process_data/@datestring,"yyyy/MM/dd hh:mm:ss","en","US","WIN","CDT") Result = August 18, 2010 9:41:23 PM GMT Then I try to put that value into a date field and I get the error:: Invalid ISO8601 DateTime:August 18, 2010 9:41:23 PM GMT:java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date: "August 18, 2010 9:41:23 PM GMT"I've tried like 100 different variations to map into a date/time object with the same result.  I can use the parse-dateTime or parse-dateTime-withFormat functions all day long but I can'

As you see the Desing View is showing the blank Master Page.  I don't have any images or text on the Master Page, it's blank.How can I get rid of the blank Master Page in Design View and as part of my document, and have the following page as my page 1?  The blank Master Page shows in Review PDF as a extra blank page.Thanks for your suggestions.A.

I have a form that has five fields in it.  One of the fields can require multiple lines to exist and when it is printed you can't use a scroll bar.That field has "Allow multiple Lines" checked.  Just to get it to work, all the rest do as well.  Of course, that didn't work anyway.  This subform that can repeat has a node "RepeatingData" that has a node "Repeating" which has the five fields that can repeat.  I can't see any property on either containing node to allow it to dynamically grow.Any ideas?

Hello,I am currently working on Offline Interactive Adobe form using Adobe Designer 7.1 and use Adobe 9.0. We have two Digital signatures in the form, to be signed once all the fields are filled. Earlier we had used scripting in the form Javascript but we have changed to Formcalc.When the digital signature is signed by the digital signature tablet, its is valid with a green tick mark with comment "Signed and all signatures are valid" on the top of the form. If we close the form and re-open the form, the green tick mark is changed to a yellow triangle with a escalmation mark with comments " Signed and all signatures are valid but with unsigned changes after the last signature." While searching for the internet, we came accross the document " Digital User Guide" (dated May 31 2007), which explains to capture the modification list after the placing the signature.Based on that we were able to find out that there is 1 miscellaneous changes occerred after the signature. I created a PDF form using LiveCycle. I want to put this form on my website so that when my users fill it out, the data goes into an online database. At the end of each month, I would like to be able to export this database as CSV for reporting purposes. How do I go about in setting this up. I've created a dynamic PDF form that contains a table. The table overflows perfectly onto the next page when enough rows are added, but I would like both the title leader and the table header row to be repeated on each page. Is this possible?
