Adobe Experience Manager Forms

 I created a test with a textbox, a dropdown list (multiselect), and button   the textbox resets the dropdown list when you change the value of the textbox. the button is just a click event that is there for pretending i am doing something with the textbox value. it actually just writes to the console.  so i write something on the textbox and click the button, this should reset the values of the dropdown. then I choose one item then i do it again i write "test again" and click the button, this clears the items from the dropdown list then i click on "4" item of the drop down list and the value "2" comes back.   but ddlist.resetData() was supposed to reset the data of the dropdown and "2 was not supposed to be highlighted. this is happening in AEM forms 6.5 SP19. can you please try in other services packs? or did i miss something ?  thanks in advance.      

We have the stand-alone AEM Forms Designer, v6.5.17 to create government forms. When editing static text objects, AEM automatically applies the font style for the first word in the object to the paragraph - for instance, if the first word is bold and italics, that becomes the <p> style for the entire object. This creates a total mess of <span> styles in subsequent text in the same object. I can go into the XML source and manually change the <p> style to normal, but the style will AUTOMATICALLY change again next time I edit the object, with no other action on my part than clicking/selecting the object.How do I stop this?

I have a form that has 30 sections in it and in each section is a table that allows addition of a work code.  Along with the 'Add' button there is a 'Remove' button in case a work code is entered in error.  In the very first section this button works correctly, removing the last work code entered.  In all the other sections, subContract2 thru subContract30 the 'Remove' button does not work.  I thought I had it coded correctly but I'm apparently missing something.  Can someone review and identify the issue?  TIA.

I have a form that opens when I click on the link.  However if I insert the link into a sentence and click on that I get an HTTP 4004 error.  It was working fine a few days ago.  Not even sure where to look for what could be causing this?  Anyone familiar with something like this?

When I go to the 'Forms' option in my AEM instance, I get a very generic JSP error, also outlined below. Hi All, I am working with the Adobe Lifecycle Designer and are using the Subforms for printing out tables.The Header is in a separat Subform that is of the type "positioned". This is connected to the Subform as "overflow" where the Lines of the table are looped.The content of the table is dynamic - so I don't know how many colums there will be before print. To active this I am using the javascript like this :this.w = "10mm"; for the columns with data in - and this.w = "0.00mm" to hide the empty columns. And the postition with this.x = "xxmm"; Most of the logic works on the first page - but My problem is the "overflow header". The header section on the FIRST page works nicely - but the overflow isn't printing in the correctly position - I tought that I could control the position with the "this.x" ? Anyone that have the same issue - or even better - HOW can I make a overflow header that should works with dynamiclly content, width & position ? t

Hey all,  I'm new to AEM forms designer, so maybe this is a small oversight, but hopefully someone can help me out! I need to create running daily log form document. Each form takes up one page, and can flow into a second if need be, and 2 logs per day (AM/PM). I've got the basic form created, but my issue is figuring out how to make multiple pages of that same form within one document.  I have copied and pasted the form to separate pages in the meantime, however I keep running into issues.  So I have two questions really:  Question 1: is there a quicker/more direct way to duplicate a form to make a larger document than copying and pasting? I've tried figuring out a way to duplicate the pages in Acrobat but because it's an xml form this can't be done it seems.  Question 2: The biggest issues I've come across with my form is with a button adding new rows to a table. We are using a FDM that comes from a backend service - the date format for some of the fields is very particular. (eg ^[0-9]{8}T[0-9]{6}\.[0-9]{3} GMT$)We have tried mapping this pattern to a date format in the date component, but it does not work. Is there a way to define a format for the bound data item and/or provide a conversion rule? We are using Core Forms components

We are trying to use a published API from the UK Revenues team - it is defined as an openapi yaml file - very simple API - provide a VAT number and it returns with the data of the organisation. I have added the YAML as a cloud service and build an FDM from it. When I test the Service it sucessfully brings back data as in the attached image. However, when I try to use this service in the rules editor the response fields are not available. What it offers is just one item called response. The openapi definition has different responses per status type and for 200 it mandates the structure in the example below {target.... name.... etc}I have had similar issues with openapi and had to build the api using Swagger V2, but I'd rather not have to do this. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I might be doing incorrectly?

Hi Support/Dev Engineers,How can a text (e.g 'Office Use Only') be placed in diagonal position in a XDP template/form?  In AEM Designer it allows the text rotation to be only 90, 180 and 270 degrees. I tried altering the text field's rotate attribute to 45 degree in the XML Source tab, and it did not work as expected. Is there any script or field property that can be changed or is there any other suggestion on how to fix this?Thanks,Leena 

Looking to implement a button which will import updated drop down list items on an XDP form.I have considered a data source, however, the form will be distributed and not have connection to an Access database source.While the current drop down items are in the form, I need a way for the items to be modified by the admin in the future.I have seen some examples of using Acrobat to import data which allows for an external XML file to be imported.The sample I have is a movie database which I downloaded years ago, however, it no longer works in Designer 6.5 and Acrobat Pro.The file from years ago was DynamicProperties.pdf which I would think some of you have seen in the past.This may be just what I need, however, it does not work.Does anyone here have an updated version or a similar example of a similar approach?Thank you for your time.

This question has been asked, there does not appear to be any solutions.I am asking if there is a way to modify drop-down lists from within a dynamic PDF opened in Acrobat Pro.The drop-down has a list of developers, this will change over time, and, the XDP PDF is used by team members.Is there a way to modify, add and delete drop-down items from a text field within the document?Looking to have a method of changing the drop-down list items as the team changes members.I am aware a data source is possible via Access or importing an XML file.Wondering what the best approach would be, and, whether the changes are permanent in the code if XML import is the solution.All comments welcome.

We are developing a custom function to update the values of several fields depending on some logic. We would like this to be configurable through the Rules Editor so that the fields can be dragged onto the Input parameters.However we seem to be unable to get hold of the field Object directly or pass in either the QualifiedName or SOMExpression (we are using Core Components, hence the QualifiedName) - All we can get is the value of the field. I had also though we could try getting the QualifiedName from a property and passing that to the input for the custom function. Has anyone got any suggestions? We used to be able to access the SomExpression from the Rules Editor but not in the Cloud / Core Components setup

I have an adaptive form that contains a file attachment component. I wrote a custom service to save the attachments in an s3 and the form data in a mysql database. I am able to prepopulate the form with the exception of the file attachment component. 

Is there a way to append a field variable entered on an XDP form to the end of the form name when using the "Save As" dialogue box interface so it shows automatically at the end of the form name? Thank you.

 Hi All,I am new to adaptive form and have a requirement to add custom field validation.Adaptive forms components comes with some OOB validation patterns like phone number, zipcode, etc and custom(where i can add my script) but i wanted to add my validation as part of dropdown like they have the oob one. can someone guide me how to add one or which components I need to overlay/extend to achieve this?
