Adobe Experience Manager Forms

Do you think it is a good idea to use telephone component in adaptive forms to use as a numeric field because it's input type is tel, so that the number keypad pops up for phones. Where as for the numeric field component, the input type is text.

I need to retrieve the internal node structure(which is nothing but including the node structure of how the components of the page are stored in the JCR) of the page and render the UI giving the path of the page in aem6.3. Can anyone help me out?

I'm running AEM Forms 6.3 and experience an issue when dynamically populating a dropdown.On initialize of a certain field I add an array of items to the dropdown using DropDown.items = array. Now when the filed changes I'd like to replace the items with another set of items. That doesn't work. The new items are appended so the drop down list get's longer. What's strange is that the newly created set of items can be changed but the original assignment is always kept.Further more printing DropDown.items to the console the correct items show up.To further illustrate that# initial assignment - 5 items - DropDown list contains 5 items visually - DropDown.items.length = 5# new assignment - 3 items - DropDown list contains 8 items visually - DropDown.items.length = 3Verified in Chrome and Firefox.We are running AEM Forms JEE - SP1 - available patches are installed.

Is there a way to change the data model from Form Template (xdp)  to a  shema (xsd) after the adaptive form was created?regards Jan

I'm unable to find exact steps to Install Adobe Live Cycle AEM Forms JEE with Turnkey on Centos. Could any one please help me to install on Linux?

I am using AEM Form 6.3. Currently, the inputs are pre-filled as described in the article with a JSON schema (Adobe Experience Manager Help | Prefill adaptive form fields ). It all works.However, I would like to pre-populate a static text as well. The static text component has been set via "Bind Reference" as well. But the value from the incoming JSON was not displayed on it. It only displays the default value of "The text will appear here". I am trying not to use textbox as the static text has the ability to wrap itself with the href attribute, which is required in my use case as well.Is there a way to get it to display the value from my JSON? Or is there an alternative?

In our adaptive forms we are using some jquery features and in 6.2 all is running well. After migrating to 6.3 we get an error:Request-URL: http://localhost:8080/lc/etc/clientlibs/fd/af/I18N/underscore-min.map404 underscore-min.map not found.Any ideas what's going wrong?Regards Jan

Hi,I'm working on an multi language form with the Livecycle Designer 8.2.My form includes a couple of Text fields with captions in English. I've implemented a button to change the language of the captions into French through a "click" JavaScript Event.But I'm still not able to perform the caption language change with my code: Myform.multilang.bt_english::click - (JavaScript, client) [...] xfa.resolveNode("tf_site.caption.value.#text").value = "French Caption"; [...]Has there anybody an hint for me?

Hello,I have a specific question -I have a PDF template that I am designing in Livecycle Designer ES2. The data binding is XML Schema. For one of the fields I need to bind the data with some formatting.For example: If my XML (based on the schema) is as follows...<xml:element name="EffectiveDT" value="2011/01/29"/><xml:element name="ExpirationDT" value="2012/01/29"/>..I want to bind a text filed named "Term" on the PDF Template to have value as <EffectiveDT> - <ExpirationDT>I couldn't figure out how to bind this in the Binding Tab for the Text Field so I thought may be I can have a JavaScript that can let me assigne the concatenated value to this TextField and I can leave the binding blank.Is it possible? What would be a correct solution for such use case? If we can go JavaScript way, could anyone please share a code snippet on how to access the data binding element from JavaScript?Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone,I set up AEM Forms (the OSGI flavour) on top of AEM 6.3 according to this guide: Installing and configuring AEM 6.3 forms After the "Boot delegate RSA and BouncyCastle libraries" step my instance needs up to 15 minutes to start up. What I did was adding following lines: sling.bootdelegation.class.com.rsa.jsafe.provider.JsafeJCE=com.rsa.*sling.bootdelegation.class.org.bouncycastle.jce.provider.BouncyCastleProvider=org.bouncycastle.*to the sling.properties file. When I remove the RSA.Jsafe line the instance boots up fast again. Did you guys experience something like this? The log seems fine.ThanksD

Hi all!I have been digging but can't find my answer.  I have a table that you can add rows to.  In the same cell in each row I have to validate if the number in the field starts with a 4 or 5 ( the number is a total of 6 digits long).  I have java script that validates the 4 or 5.  but I need to loop through all the rows for that cell. Hi All.In my form I developed the DropDownList populated by XML file. For that I created DataConnection and binding XML file to DropDownList by Dynamic Property. In Preview PDF in AEM Forms Designer when I open DropDownList I can see the list of data. But when I run Acrobat DC Pro or Reader the DropDownList is empty. How to fix the problem?Thanks.

I have a JEE (jboss) installation of AEM Forms 6.2 and my client has their own custom font.The font was placed in the Customer font directory (taken from adminui - Settings > Core System Settings).The instance was restarted and the fonts appear under admin ui -> Services > PDF Generator > Adobe PDF Setting, under this option I:* Added a custom setting config based on Standard* Added the required font to Always embed* I then marked the new setting config as the default.I also added the font to adminui > Services > Output under the Always Embed Fonts optionI restarted after changing these settings.PDFs I generate in java, using the output service do not embed the custom font referenced by the template XDP files.Are there any additional settings in AEM or in the XDP file that control this? Is there a step by step guide anywhere for adding custom fonts?

I am trying to have a message appear on the initial submission of a form.  For subsequent Task Operations, I have the ability to give User Actions, where I can have a message display when they press Submit (or other actions).I do not have that option though for the initial submission of the form.  Where would you place JS to run when a user clicks submit?  What is the location of that button?I am using 6.1

I am trying to use mysql database over TarMk.I made Install folder and dragged mysql-connector-driver and did a configuration file named as org.apache.jackrabbit.oak.plugins.document.DocumentNodeStoreService.config and configure as Later I installed instance with command as  java -jar aem-author-4502.jar -r author,crx3,crx3rdb -gui. It stucks in between and having error as AuthenticationSupport service missing. Cannot authenticate request. andPossible reason is missing Repository service. Check AuthenticationSupport dependencies.I am trying it with the help of RDBMS Support in AEM 6.3 .How do I solve this problem?

Hi, How to implement auto suggest feature in AEM adaptive form where a REST or SOAP call has to be made to fetch the list and show it while typing in the textbox. This is some what similar to Goggle auto suggest which shown below. We are using AEM 6.3 version.

I am trying to configure AEM adaptive forms for Autosave functionality as per the document. But I am facing an issue with it. I configure it correctly for time based autosave but still its not working. The data is not being stored automatically but if I click on the save button at the bottom of the form it gets saved.Any idea if it is a product bug or if I am missing something ?Regards,Samir

In LiveCycle to populate DropDownList I created DataConnection and use Import option. In AEM I don't know how to Import data. I will appreciate for explanation how to get result.Thanks.

The AEM MSRP configuration page (https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/6-2/communities/using/msrp.html) does not provide a method for username/password injection. I'm creating a fillable PDF form with Acrobat Pro DC to be distributed. I created an action button in the form, which will open a sub-form saved on my desktop. However, when distributed, other users cannot access this "sub-form" by clicking the button. I see that I may need to add an opening preference for the target file, but how do I do this? Thanks!
