Hi All,Previously we used https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/endpoint-reference/lead-database-endpoint-reference/#!/Leads/mergeLeadsUsingPOST Merge lead endpoint to merge our leads. But now we are seeing, that scores are also getting merged using this Endpoint. Is there any way that Merge our duplicates without affecting lead scores? I checked through developer docs, but that's a SOAP API. https://developers.marketo.com/soap-api/leads/mergeleads/Is there any workaround for this?Thanks 🙂 

Hello. We have an ongoing program with a Smart Campaign that consists mostly of email blasts spaced apart with wait steps. By necessity, we've had to build out this program while it was live, meaning some members hit the end at email 1, some hit the end at email 2, etc. We now have most of the emails on there, but we're left with many members who hit the end of the program in a previous state, and did not get the emails we added later.   What's the best way to handle this now? We thought about resetting them to the beginning of the campaign via "request campaign", but it doesn't seem like we can skip the wait steps that shouldn't apply again. The only other thing we can think of is doing separate manual sends of each email, to the members who joined while the program was being built. Is there a better, more automated way to clean things up here to make sure everyone gets every email? Preferably they'd also get any future steps we add to the campaign automatically.   Thanks,Da

Does anyone have a score cap for individuals and accounts (if you do account scoring) that are truly engaged beyond becoming sales ready/opportunity? What is your limit and why? For example, a lead/contact can score up until it reaches 200 and an account can score up to 500 max. Beyond these thresholds, there is no more added scoring. The lead/contact/account is still sales ready at 100 but I'm curious at how far you let the scoring continue if something is not sent back/lost opp/cancelled account/unengaged. This is specific to people/orgs that continue to "meaningfully" engage regularly without decaying.

If a lead is marked as marketing suspended = true AND unsubscribed = trueand I send an operational email, will the lead receive that email?I just want to confirm this is the case.

We just switched to a new instance of Marketo and I am trying to reintegrate all of our launchpoint items. I've been successful with everything but Facebook. When trying to set up Facebook Lead Ads, I get to the screen in Marketo where it asks to authorize. I click Authorize and I get the following error:How do I solve for this? 

Occasionally I will see the Original Referrer field have a value of "google.com//" with two forward slashes after google.com. Is it reasonable to conclude that the two forward slashes actually indicate missing UTM parameters? Or could the two forward slashes indicate something else?   Our company has yet to focus on SEO, so the only way to find our website using search is to type in our company name exactly or click on a search ad that targets certain keywords. Sometimes original referrer will show up as "google.com/" with just one forward slash...other times it will show up with two. I just tested myself...I searched my company in Google, navigated to the site from the organic search result, and filled out a form. The lead created has Original Referrer value of "google.com/" with just one forward slash...exactly what I would expect. And no double forward slash.We get more Organic Search leads than I think is reasonable considering our current strategy...my sus

Hello Community   as a Marketo consultant I often come across clients, typically in a role of Marketing director, who would like to see a presentation of "What Marketo can do for them". Do you know if there is a publicly available presentation, ideally about 30 minute long, high level overview that would describe functions and benefits, something less abstract than "Empower your digital transformation" but more palatable than the feature data sheet.   I would be grateful for any suggestions or links.

We are using the form id as a variable in the guided LPs and not inserting the forms directly on the LPs so the LPs are not showing the form being used. We are doing a form audit so is there a way I can get the list of forms used by the LPs ( I know the LPs) other than manually checking the LP code.

Hi all,   We are testing a middleware "Workato" between our CRM and Marketo. We tested running a payment cycle of approx 1,000 leads, and noticed that the updates trickled into MKTO, over the course of several hours.   Questions: - Is this expected behaviour? - Would this be in the middleware and how they are sending data? - Does MKTO allow/support larger data syncs?   Thanks everyone.

Can someone explain why the "option 4 = Remove people who did not attend the webinar" was not correct ? Can we remove people in a specific program ?  Please help provide the use case and scenario, thanks a lot 🙂  

Campaign members within SFDC aren't being updated from Marketo. So far this has been discovered in 2 different programs, that are set up differently (trigger creation vs list upload). We were able to add the campaign members manually through Salesforce, but forcing a person-level sync and running workflows to add them to SFDC campaigns didn't work. Full-person record syncing doesn't seem to be affected.   I'm not getting any relevant SFDC and Marketo sync errors, and program information is still being pushed by our API. The few errors we have don't seem to have anything to do with the campaign errors. Hi Community!   I am looking for a way to edit/trim a field value, removing the HTTP:// or HTTPS://      Background: I am receiving a link from SFDC in a custom field on the contact object. I want to use this link as the main CTA in an email to the contacts, it is unique to each contact. But, as we all know when we use a token value as a link we must insert it without the HTTP//: or HTTPS:// and hard code the protocol into the email code, so Marketo will notice the protocol and properly wrap the link in tracking shortener.   How do I deal with this value having the http:// or https:// in it can I trim it with a velocity script? Is there an operational program I can rig up to trim the value? Unfortunately I cannot request that the value be modified at the source because other integrated systems and processes use the value as-is in SFDC.   Any wizard ideas out there?   Many thanks in advance.   Best, Eric Rex  

Good morning all. I have an interesting situation where I want to conditionally pre-fill some hidden form fields IF they are blank for the record. I know I can do this pretty easily a couple of ways: By always populating a temp field and then in Marketo once the form is submitted testing to see if the main field is empty, and if so, push the temp value into the main field. In Javascript.  This doesn't work so well across devices however as you might not always get a pre-fill. Both of these feel slightly like 'work arounds' and I'm feeling option 1. is the most stable and safe.   Am I missing an obvious and easy approach here?   Cheers

Hi Everybody, We are migrating to the new  Submit form API method from the old Post method for our Marketo forms hosted on non-Marketo Landing pages. https://developers.marketo.com/rest-api/lead-database/leads/#submit_form  This API has a seemingly unsolvable problem it does not work with duplicate emails. Because an email needs to be passed in, and it fails if there is more than one lead with that email. These emails are legitimate duplicates in our system, Is there is a way to update a duplicate with this API?

In the below screenshot you'll see that 18,879 people are blocked. When my email goes out will Marketo try to send to those people and in return have it affect delivery rates?

Hi everyone,    I would like to know if anyone has tips regarding some sort of systematic checks, a process, or steps that they follow after there has been a service interruption / outage.  Of course trying to figure out what automated processes might have failed and retrigger, figure out if failed integrations can be retried, etc. comes to mind, but can that even be done?    Wouldn't we need to figure out what emails or other logic would have triggered and for whom during the time of the interruption, create batch clones of it and run them all?  This sounds a bit like an impossible task to me. Am I missing something?   Thank you in advance for your insights!

My company's current process is:  Custom form on website On Submit, we push the data to our own database A custom procedure manages the Person create/update, merges the anonymous record, creates a custom activity that mimics a marketo form fill. We capture the Marketo cookie id (forgive me for not using exact terminology here) in order to merge the anonymous record via the API call. We have an oppty to update step 3 of the process and I now want to change to simply submit the form data and hopefully the cookie id. Here is my layman’s layout of the new process. Assume a simple form with only first name and email fields on it. .submit( formID: 1234 marketoCookieID: 123-2345-234, firstName: JJ, email:jj@domain.com )   My questions to the community. Does the Marketo form API work this way? I can’t find any examples or If no, is there a better method other than HTTP POST?  I’ve done that in the past for a customer.  But I don’t believe you get a response.  How ca

Curious to know if i can have UTM parameters in a PDF that is hosted on Wordpress tracked via Marketo? If we are running an ungated display ad, and we wanted to know who is looking at the pdf - would this work? I know if it would, it would only be for those that are "known" in Marketo.    Thanks!

Hi, I am preparing 2 landing pages for my preference center. The first landing pages will enable the contacts to select the newsletters from their country. The second landing page will enable the contacts to select the newsletters from other countries.  In the form of my second landing page, I don't know how to only display the countries that have not been selected on the first landing page. Moreover, I don't know how to display the countries by alphabetical order and have the contacts select Yes/No. Does any one has an idea? Many thanks

We are having an issue with a new logo image that was edited on our email template not updating the emails that use the template. It's been 12+ hours since the change.  The email template was updated and approved. Confirmed new logo shows on draft. All previously approved emails tied to the template went into "Draft". Sent a test email and the logo was not updated.

I read somewhere that as per the new retention policy the visit page activity are pruned after 90 days. So just confirming that this will impact the landing page performance report where Im trying to pull the data for the last 1 year. So as per the retention policy will the landing page performance report will be only work for last months?   Although when I set the data of activity to prior to 90 days, its still pulling the data however would like to confirm if this would be accurate?

Does Marketo Sales Insight just show up once you sync Salesforce with Marketo?  What other features of Marketo will just "show up" once the sync is complete?
