I have a Project report with a calculated field (using text) and need to add a second grouping based on the calculated field. Would appreciate guidance on how to do it. Thank you!

Hello workfront developer,How to create api in workfront for creating task in project via api call from App builder along with authentication. guid me with steps or share me articial please
I have several workers that are in two different resource pools. How do I allocate their total weekly available time between the two different pools so they are not double-loaded with work? Example: Angie has a total of 22.4 available hours a week for project work. She is in two different resource pools and both pools shows this 22.4 available hours. I want to split that 22.4 available hours to show 11.2 hours for one and 11.2 hours for the other.
Hello,I've seen the following previous threads on this subject:https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/workfront-fusion-2-0-questions/creating-a-document-version-via-fusion/m-p/650289https://stackoverflow.com/questions/68034727/add-new-version-of-an-existing-document-in-wrkfront-through-api My understanding is that you would need to upload the new document via a Custom API call, retrieve the handle and use the handle to place the file on an existing document as a new version, using a PUT request? I'm also wondering if you can upload documents from Workfront Fusion using Custom API calls? I can't seem to figure out how you would go about defining what file it is that you are wishing to upload. If anyone has examples of this working in the wild they'd be willing to share, I'd be really appreciative. Cheers,Josh
Are there a "cliff notes" on how to get a tasks in a project to calculate planned start dates based on Project Start Date (Schedule Mode = Start Date)Task predicessorsAssigned Resource AvailabilityPlanned HoursIn other words, I know:The tasksThe planned hours for the taskWho will work on the taskThe resources available hours per day (6 hours per day)Predicessors to the taskI want Workfront to tell me when each task can start and should end thus calculating the end dateI essentially want to use the assigned resource's availability as a constraint on the task.As I read the info on Duration Types, Task Constraints and Predicessors I am getting lost in the possiblities and not finding anything that accounts for the resources 6 hour day.
Hi everyone. For the last few days me and my team have noticed issues with generating and reseting API keys for a user through the UI.Whenever we click on generate api key or reset api key, a new api key is shown, but after a refresh of a page it is still the old api key shown or no api key if there was none beforehand. Also, all of our api request are getting "You are currently not logged in" error message when sending them through postman and our app with the api key as a header "apiKey" = "USER_API_KEY".However, when opening a GET query in the web browser, we get all of the data as we should. It only fails for requests sent from postman or our application where we use the "apiKey" header.Any help would be appreciated.
I need help changing this calculated field (on a Project Report) from pulling the Project Owners Home team to Project Owners Other Team ID: owner:homeTeamID=owner:homeTeamID_Mod=in
I have created a project with a huge bunch of tasks without any template and is in progress, almost 50% complete. But now I am trying to link the Template tasks to my project tasks, I dont see any field on the Task details to attach or link the Template tasks. I was able to attach the Template to the Project level but not able to detach. I have 10+ projects (50 tasks each) to update with the Template references. Please provide any Ideas on this.
I sent a test email to the request queue with 2 documents attached. One was a .doc (15 KB) and one was a .pdf (583 KB). Only the .doc was saved in the "documents" section of the request queue. To make matters even weirder, I also "forwarded" an email with the same 2 attachments to the intake email address, and neither of the attached documents were saved, just a .png from the body of the email. It looks like it is only saving the smallest file? I can't find any settings I can adjust on my end, are there any? Is this something that can be corrected? This will be a big problem for us and our brand new email enabled request queues.
Hi there! We are attempting to migrate our team from another provider to Workfront and one key requirement is to upload .pdf files to comments on a task/card on their board. At present, we can only enable image files (i.e. .png/.jpg) but there is a real need for it to be able to upload .pdfs.I am aware that you can upload documents to a card on a board as well as to the documents section on a task, but this is not a very efficient route, and then it is tricky to reference that specific .pdf in the comment. They ideally want to stay wholly within the board.Has anyone got any suggestions ? Thanks in advance!
Question 1 - Is there a way to apply both Milestone view and Gantt view on the same project Report? Question 2 - How to add the current active Milestone stage column on the Project report? Question3 - How to Display an icon of the Milestone stage details on the Gantt chart view of the report?
I am running a scenario that is trying to copy a parent task (and it's children) from a Template to a Project. I do not want to copy over all of the tasks from the Template, only specific parent tasks (+ children) based on info on the custom form.Which module/action is best for this?
Hi smart people,Within a task view, I am hoping there is a way to show the field 'Default Baseline Task >> Planned Hours' as red when it is less than the 'Planned Hours'.Any help would be great.
Is anyone else having this issue? Now that we have external users getting licensed to WOrkfront via the Admin Console they seem to have the ability to request access to Adobe Apps through our system. It looks like this is an "All or nothing" system setting- eith er all of your users can request access or no user can make requests. I am guessing its through the Adobe CC desktop app and they do not realize they are signed in to our environment... but there should be way for us to control their ability to make non-workfront requests like this. Adobe Admin console support said the system was just designed this way. Is anyone else seeing this or are we doing something that allows this?
Hi! My team is working on standardizing our project naming conventions. We're thinking of the following: CAMPAIGN_DELIVERABLE_ MMYY_DEPT_ REFERENCE For the dates, what do you typically do for your projects? The go-live date? The project conversion date? Thanks!
I have created an issue request form and I am trying to generate a report from the form. Two of my fields do not pull the data into the report and the columns are blank even though I have checked there is data in the system. Both are new fields which I created for this form and there are other fields of the same type in the form which do pull the data, one field is a text field and the other is a radio button. There are other fields of both types in form and the data does pull into report. Any advice?
How we can pull timesheet profile name assigned to a user in Hour type report?
Is there a way to view the planned hours for resources in either the Resource Planner or Workload Balancer by the projected start and end dates of a task?Currently, we manually update the planned start and end dates of tasks in our projects to get an accurate view of resource availability, as our task dates often get delayed or shift for various reasons.
We have a stakeholder that is having issues with a project proof. He can see the proof only when we send him a direct link and not if he's logged in. He is setup as follows: Permissions profile: VisitorStatus: ActivatedSetup as a reviewer & approver Anyone have an issue like this before? We want him to be able to see the proof when he is logged in so he can make proof comments.
Hello! I'm trying to build a month-over-month burn report in Workfront, but I can't find the correct fields to generate this data. My objective is to create a monthly report to show the progression of the planned benefit burn. For example, I have a 100k as my planned benefit on a given project. In January, based on the actual hours entered, I burned 10k (showing the remaining 90k). In February, my starting point is 90k, and I burned 20k (showing the remaining 70k) and so forth. How can I proceed here? It's currently just letting me see the current month, and not the progression of the burn.
Hi Everyone--Our organization has several teams who use the "To-Dos" to track internal work that does not need a full project but that should be noted for the purposes of resourcing. The problem is coming in the ability to select both a start and completion date. Currently users are frequently adding a "to-do" with no date associated, which means it doesn't show under our Scheduling tool. I've been experimenting with adding due dates but am running into issues creating date range or the number of desired hours. (It looks as though a user can create a project of personal tasks and make adjustments there) which leads me to the second issue we're running into. The to-do list task will default to a full 8-hour day. So, if we make it 2 days, it will automatically go up to 16 hours Has anyone else run into this issue and either found a work around, fix, or alternative to the to-do list for tracking ad hoc tasks?
Does anyone know a way we can get our reports to fit our screens? Currently, there are two vertical scrollers and we cannot scroll horizontally until we scroll down on one of the vertical scrollers. Occurs in Chrome and EdgeOccurs regardless of zoom magnificationOccurs regardless of number of items per page on report
Hi, I'm looking to automate email notifications for upcoming incomplete tasks due (once 30 days before due date, again 7 days before due date) to be sent to the Assignee(s). I've been trying to accomplish this through the Email Notifications on Workfront. I tested this but it was unsuccessful. Not sure if I need to adjust any other settings or if my code is incorrect? My current code is below: <html><p>Hello $$assignedTo:firstName$$,</p><p>You are assigned to work on a remediation commitment for <td>$$project:name$$</td> , <b><ahref=https://<capitalonestress>.my.workfront.com/task/view?ID=$$ID$$">$$name$$</a></b>, which is due on $$estCompletionDate$$. Once complete, please close out the Task in Workfront.</p><tablewidth=350"style=font-size:12px;"><tr><td><b>Task Name:</b></td><td>$$name$$</td></tr><td><b>Project Name:</b></td><td
Hello all! I'm looking to create a chart of the interchangeable objects in Workfront so we can better prepare and test the quarterly upgrades as well as have a better understanding of how each groups objects interact. For instance, I've noticed that what is used for waterfall "project" is actually called "campaign" for our Marketing Agile friends. When an upgrade comes up, we try to discuss the impact and confusion happens. Does Workfront have an Agile/Waterfall translation table or has anyone created something like that? Essentially I want to be able to say "so this upgrade has a new feature for "tasks" (for my waterfall peeps) aka "jobs" (for my agile peeps)."
